interesting!
i must confess my major interest is in the character himself, the plot itself was somewhat secondary hehe
so i did enjoy it, but i do wonder how much i would've enjoyed it if it wasn't Tom strutting around the show
and i absolutely detested the "Loki" combination they chose, the K is absolutely massive and it sets me off. it always broke my heart to see the intro and observe all the other combos that could've worked a million times better than the one they actually went for.
idk if i'm the only one being irked by that

on the other hand, the soundtrack is gorgeous imo

The story is the thing I found the most disappointing.
Because loki working with the TVA, hoping in and out of different time periods had a lot of potential to be a lot of fun.

And in the end the show just wasn't fun, at least for me. I kinda dreaded watching it after episode 1

And loki is a character with a lot of history, especially queer history behind them, not just in the original mythology, but in the comics as well, especially in recent years. And I wish that had been touched on and explored a little more, rather than 1 line in a file as part of a promo material and one line in the show itself.

And if this is how disney is treating loki.
It kinda makes me worried about how they are gonna treat percy jackson.

i agree that it is crappy that we should be "thankful" for bi representation (although i must admit i was absolutely thrilled watching that scene), disney is quite stingey with queer representation, hopefully this is a sign of future change.....
i was never a disney fan tbh, but i do hope they take a bigger step towards that

this show is always going to be too short for my liking
jokes aside, i agree with you in that the show could have included a whole bunch of cool stuff that it just... did not, fsr

hopefully the second season will touch on that a little bit more?

Part of me wonders if they had to scale things back due to filming restrictions because of..um global events.

Hopefully season 2 is better written and more fun. with more chaos and queerness. Until then

Favorite Loki/Tom movie: it's not a movie, but the Loki TV show is by far my favorite adaptation of the character!
(if i have to pick a movie, i'd say Avengers)
