Dovesong gave a nod, nothing more. fearing fault may end up on her. she stepped down, and sat with the others, hunching down to make herself smaller. after the meeting she would have to explain she simply slept through the moment. she had always been a rather heavy sleeper, compared to most. whoever did this had to be rather sneaky to avoid being seen by anyone at all. she wondered if they had left any clues as to who they were. she'd have to see later though. she was rather baffled at how she didn't wake up. she felt rather guilty as well.

It had been another mostly sleepless night for the young cat. at night she could be found pacing outside camp, trying to tire herself enough for sleep, or sitting next to the river. she hadn't been living here very long, but she knew it was a good clan for her. When morning came she had been sleeping for about an hour, under a bush outside the camp. she knew all she really needed was about four hours to function properly. her ear swiveling as she heard the leader calling a meeting. 'ugh, what now?' she questioned. she rose to her paws, her tired body feeling heavy. her tail flickered with a slight annoyance, wishing she could have slept more. she emerged from where she was, her ears angled back some as she sat near the back of the small group already sitting in front of the leader. she glanced over, seeing the medicine cat already in a tizzy. it was way too early for this.

Shadekit's small green eyes popped open at the noises around her, her mouth opening wide for a yawn. she took a small glance around, seeing the place she always woke up. her mother seemed to be speaking to someone. she noticed another cat looking into their den, she tilted her head curiously, simply watching what was going on.

snakeflower observed from the edge of the clan as everyone gathered. there wasn't much to observe, as it was just the beginning of the meeting, though. being a recently named warrior, she didn't have much of a spot near the front anyway. as she readjusted into a comfortable sitting position, she began to pick at the fur of her tail. unfortunately, her fur was on the longer side, and the density and wildlife on the ground were a pain. the river too, in all honestly. it almost was like the she-cat wasn't meant for this clan.

despite all the unfortunate things that were her body, she loved it. snakeflower couldn't imagine a life anywhere else, especially in the trees. she had no fear of heights, nor truly any problem with climbing. it just meant living up in the trees meant being a part of treeclan, and that was an idea she personally disliked.

as snakeflower groomed her tail, dovesong's worried voice caught her attention. the herbs? destroyed? that made things quite interesting. something so unique couldn't possibly be nature's doing. there was also the fact that dovesong herself claimed they were destroyed by someone just reinforced the idea of an attack from treeclan. perhaps the evergrowing tension between the two clans would finally burst. the idea thrilled her, but it was soon followed by dread. as a warrior, she'd be in battle. the liklihood of suggestions from a warrior her age would likely be null. unfortunate, but unavoidable.

Sagepaw was fast asleep till he heard the call of their leader to Fell Branch. All he could do was grumble and cover his eyes with his tail. His ears twitch at the sounds of shuffling around and he guesses that Dovesong had risen and made her way out of the den. However, hearing her pause on the way out then made him feel suspicious and he decides to get up.
He shook out his fur once he stands and, riding it of scraps of twigs and leaves, and pads his way out of the den. But stop at the sight before him...their herbs and other medical supply layouts everywhere on the floor... ripped, broken, and just completely ruined. The fur along his spine start to bristle with rage as he carefully picked his way through the mess, praying to Startclan he could find another salvageable.

Sunpaw slowly exits the Apprentice den at the sound of Snapstar's call. he stayed towards the edge of the gathering group and took the time to groom himself and Snapstar and a few others talk among themselves. The sight of Dovesong coming out of her den, looking rather upset, caught his attention. But he was a bit too far hear what they were saying exactly. Judging by the body language of the two... it doesn't seem all that great. " Wonder if Dovesong was delivered a prophecy?? He hummed to himself.

Jaypool was half asleep in her nest. Turning her back towards the taking voices of Patchfur and Thistleshade. Whatever was going on she didn't want to be a part of it right now. She had a hard time sleeping last night from the growing ache in her leg and what was left of her tail. She contemplated ongoing to see Nettlepad but decided to deal with it through the night and see her in the morning. She somewhat regretted her decision till she finally passed out from exhaustion.
However, waking to no little sleep will set her mood for the rest of the day and even she didn't want to deal with that herself. So with a huff, she places a paw over her ears and tries her best to ignore the talking going on not too far from her.

"oh, i just wanted to bring you some of this." he placed his paw on the limp chipmunks tail and tore it in half. "here." he nudged the bigger half forward and smiled. his mind wandered, oblivious to the queen's slightly annoyed tone. "remember catching chipmunks as apprentices? gosh, you guys were always so great at that. still impresses me." before he could continue his story, he was interrupted by snapstar's call. "oh, boy, i'd better go," he swished his tail towards the entrance. "hope you enjoy the food, i'll catch you around later."

with a flick of his ears, he turned and hurried out of the nursery, scanning the quickly-filling camp clearing for his apprentice. he caught sight of the pale orange tom near the apprentice den. sunpaw was yawning and stretching—he looked tired. surely, he hadn't gotten anything to eat yet. the two of them would be able to split the remaining chipmunk quickly, hopefully before the meeting began. he rushed over to sunpaw and meowed a greeting. "hey! here, have a bite before the meeting begins. if there's time afterwards we'll go out for some battle training." he remembered an older warriors advice to stormtail: be tougher. he could definitely use some work on that. being a younger mentor, he sometimes forgot not to treat sunpaw just as a friend. "and i don't want to hear any complaints!" he added, perhaps a little too late.

foxpaw felt his heart drop into his stomach as snapstar called for a meeting—half excitement, half nervousness. he shivered and wrinkled his nose as he exited the apprentices den. cats were already beginning to gather below the fell tree. so it really was happening. he was eight moons, he had moved from the nursery to the apprentices den and gained the name foxpaw. all that was missing was a mentor. that would truly mark his first step towards warrior-hood. towards becoming a cat who could fight back against those that hurt his clan. he stood up and began to walk towards the crowd, trying to keep his head high and maintain an air of maturity. his eyes darted around the clearing, looking for his mother. "dapplestream?" he meowed cautiously. he suddenly felt a pang of longing for her scent. he still wasn't used to sleeping alone, gathering moss for his own nest. "dapplestream?" he called a little louder, suddenly catching a glimpse of her on the other side of the fell tree, he sprinted over to her side, sliding in beside her and leaning on her warm shoulder.

Dry leaves crinkled under the medicine cat's deft paws as she sorted them into usable and unusable piles. Her marigold and horsetail had gone bad, and only a few dusty leaves remained in the back of the storage. She had never been a fan of leaving the safety of the treetops to fetch herbs, but it had to be done.

She hoped no one was in need of an infection treatment, the two dusty herbs were both good for that. She knew of a patch of wild garlic not far from the camp-trees, that could work if she needed it in a pinch.

Nettlepad sighed. If no one needed her, she might as well take Specklepaw to grab some herbs. She glanced out of the hole in the medicine cat den-tree. Where were they? The apprentice had only been with her for less than a moon, but they had adapted to the medicine cat life superbly. They were going to be a fantastic healer one day. If Nettlepad was even good enough to teach them... Her heart panged with anxiety. What if she wasn't good enough for this apprentice?

Her mother used to tell her as a kit that it is a family thing, as even her mother and her mother's sister used to awake the same way as kits. Snowpaw quickly shakes off the dream and walks out to look around camp and see who is awake, finding no one in the immediate vicinity Snowpaw decides to have a slow stroll around and see who she can find.

Nettlepad is at the entrance, and Speckledpaw hurries their step.

greyfang shared a concerned glance with snapstar, the flicker of anger in his eyes already hinting at who he
thought might be behind this. who else but treeclan would do such a thing, he thought with a snarl in his head.

as snapstar changed the topic, greyfang had to leave those thoughts behind for now. he thought about the offer
for a moment - snapstar would make an excellent mentor and his brother was no difference. greyfang trusted
his nephew, foxpaw, would be in good paws.

"i couldn't think of two better mentors than you and your brother, snapstar. you have my support." he
answered, bowing his head.

smallwhisper looked at the chipmunk and relaxed a little. she couldn't deny it, she was pretty hungry. "oh, thank

the queen tuned out most of stormtail's babbling, confused why the tom was still there, and gnawed on the warm
prey, her mouth watering. she glanced at her kits from the corner of her eyes, seeing them awake and squirming
around.

smallwhisper watched stormtail leave, without saying a word to him, and quickly finished the rest of her meal.
she returned to her kits, crouching down near them and giving them both a gentle, loving nudge. "good morning,
you two. did you sleep well?" she purred gently before carefully bringing shadekit to her chest with her paw and
starting to wash her.

He smiled and began talking. "I have called you here this morning because there are a couple kits that need to become apprentices. Foxkit and Ashenkit have both reached six moons and are ready to become apprentices. Ashenkit, please step forward." Snapstar called out. "Ashenkit you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on until you recive your warrior name you kill be known as Ashenpaw. Your mentor will be Breezecloud." Snapstar paused to let his words sink in.

'Breezecloud, You are ready to take on an apprentice. You have recives excellent training from Blacksight and you have shown yourself to be Loyal and Strong. You will be the mentor of Ashenpaw and I trust that you will pass down all you know to this young apprentice." Snapstar waited until the crowd was silent again. And after Ashenpaw and Breezecloud had touched noses. As the two moved away he looked down at the crowd again. "Foxpkit, please step forward!" Snapstar waited looking down at the small tom.

"Foxkit, you have reached the age of six moons and you are ready to be apprenticed. From this day forward and until you recive your warrior name you will be known as Foxpaw. I will be Foxpaw's mentor. I trained under Firewhisker and she taught me everything I know. I will happily pass down my knowledge to this young apprentice." Snap start leaped down from the fell Branch and moved to touch noses with his new apprentice, Snapstar knew he must look scary, so he smiled kindly at the young cat.

As Snapstar called out his new name Breezecloud yowled it with the rest. Fianlly Snapstar was going to appoint the mentor. Breezecloud, you will train Ashenpaw." Breeze cloud stood, head held high. He padded forward and towered over the young She-cat. Breezecloud leaned forward, and touched noses with the young cat. He whispered to the young cat. "Don't worry, I'll make you the best warrior that Earthclan has ever seen." Breezecloud curled his tail around the young she-cat, guiding her over to the edge of the crowd and sat down, listening to the rest of the ceremony.

she sat with the others as the announcement was made. it was always pleasant to see new apprentices. She had her own after all. She had a lesson planned for him today, but it would have to wait until after she tried to help sort this out. It was her job to care for the medicine supply. Though, this could easily be a teachable moment for Sagepaw. Collecting herbs could allow her to teach some identification and good locations she knew. She allowed her mind to wonder as it calmed her some.

As Snapstar spoke, she had been grooming her paw. upon hearing her name, she froze. she slowly looked up as all eyes were on her. she let her paw return to the ground, her ears flattening some. They flattened more when her 'mentor' started coming toward her, she took a step back. When his nose touched to hers she bopped it once with her paw as a way to warn him to stop. She was grateful to have a mentor, but she would of preferred one that understood boundaries a little better. as his tail curled around her and he guided her over to where he wanted she had an annoyed look. once he sat again she moved a few inches out of reach. The whole time she didn't speak a single word, mostly because she was speechless. A small part of her was excited, but it didn't show.

As she was nudged, she looked at her brother and gave a sleepy smile. she sat up "yeah! he was bigger." she agreed, she hadn't fully grasped the concept of how, but it was true. As her mother spoke she looked up at her, the soft light entering the den catching her eyes for a moment before she answered "yes momma" she answered happily, starting to wake up fully. She was so excited for the day to begin. Her young mind could only guess what it held for her. maybe her and Maplekit could play, or meet someone new!

She partially wished she could accompany them, but that was a warriors job, not a queen's. though, she did want to make a visit to the river soon. she decided it was best to wait until someone could accompany her, safer at least.
