They aren't the same items. But are rather close. I can see the reason people would get confused. They are very similar.

Nice to know! I wasn’t here during then so I’m glad to get this one. I’m fascinated with the ocean and ocean-themed items, so this is really cool.

whaaat.... looks to me like some kinda... broken scroll or paper? it does have crystals on it so maybe theres another crystal cave were going to uncover? or the crystals have a power we arent aware of (maybe hypnotism? the swirl on the paper is weird)

it's listed as a journal page! i'm thinking an explorer lost their notes. maybe it'll be at the cave end signifying someone went past the village and got lost.
