You stretch, waking up and glancing over to the clock on the wall. It takes you a moment to realise that today was the day you were getting your starter and starting your journey, you get out of bed, get ready and walk out your door. A few Pidgeys fly in and out of their nests in trees as you make your way over to the lab. The doors open and you make your way inside, taking in the pokemon interacting and scientists studying behaviours. You wonder where the professor is so you make your way through the lab and into an area with mostly starter pokemon in it. You find them to be pretty cute, as all starters should be, when you see the professor making his way over to you. "Ah, Cody, is it? I apologise for not welcoming you, had a bit of an issue with a Froakie." You nod, though you're not really paying attention. "Ahem, anyway, may I interest you with a starter?" You snap back into focus and agree, then the professor takes you to a single Bulbasaur. "This little guy has been here the longest, I can't really figure out why, but you'll take him, wont you?" The Bulbasaur seems happy to see you, running up and circling your legs. You agree to take him and make your way out of the lab, the Bulbasaur by your side.

Muffin growls at the Shroomish before opening their mouth and using ember! The Shroomish stumbles backwards. Super effective! The Shroomish stands up. "C'mon Shroomish!" Yells the trainer, Shroomish up jumps up and uses absorb. Glowing green particles fly at Muffin! Muffin steps back and Shroomish looks a little better. "Great job, Shroomish! Next, use tackle!" The trainer says, once again, the Shroomish is moving slowly.

The Shroomish took quite a bit of a hit! But using absorb made it regain health.

—vanessa watched the kyogre swim in front of her, doing circles in the water and amusing lavender. she then glanced to zeraora, who offered her a great ball. eyes widening, she grabbed the object from the pokemon. she now held two pokeballs, one belonging to the former kyogre, and the great ball she was just handed. she looked between the both of them, a smile settling on her face.

"I don't know about the two of you, but i don't want this adventure to end... and it seems like you don't either.." she hummed. ignis emerged from his ball, and so did raiden, the two expectantly watching with curious gazes. lavender let out a cry of excitement, awaking kepler who also joined them by coming out of his pokeball.

zeraora walked over, crouching to reach the party pokemon's height. and with that, vanessa set the great ball against zeraora's head. she then turned to kyogre, "so, let's make it official?" she offered, holding the kyogre's previous pokeball toward it, for it to retract.
