- hello all, and welcome to the toontown rewritten players club! i searched the forums and couldn't find an active thread, so i'm creating this one. anyone is welcome to join, the only rule is that you have to at least have a little knowledge of the game! you can post casually without officially joining the club, but if you'd like to join the club, fill out the form later in the post and i'll add you to the list!
this thread will be for chatting about the game toontown rewritten. for those who are curious or just need a refresher, toontown online was a massively multiplayer online role-playing game created by the disney company in the early 2000s. the game was released to the public on june 2nd, 2003, and was shut down on september 19th, 2013. over the course of 10 and a quarter years, thousands upon thousands of people continuously played the game, making friends and memories as they progressed through the storyline (myself included!). when it was shut down, a team of toontown online players banded together to create toontown rewritten. toontown rewritten, or TTR for short, is a completely free and non-profit version of the game. the team is dedicated to providing a fun, nostalgic, and authentic experience of the game, just like old players remember. they also bring new updates to the game to keep it up to the times and attract new players-- for example, now you can change from using the arrow keys to navigate to any other keys you want, like WASD!

- hello there! in this thread, call me nuwanda! my main toon is a black cat named "ryan." he wears shorts, is medium height, and has a medium body! he is currently 119 laff-- the furthest i've ever gotten a toon. if you're a regular player, you may see me around quite a bit. i'm basically always either in cashbot hq or donald's dreamland.
i also play as a bright red cat named "twice." she wears skirts and is the same height and body as ryan. i'm unsure of her current laff since i don't play her as much. i also created an ATTA (adult toontown addicts) toon, who i named "w'atta turtleneck." it's a reference to a quote by one of my favorite hockey players. he's a lime green crocodile who wears shorts, and he is the same height and body as ryan as well. he's a mere 16 laff, since i just made him last week.
i played toontown online from 2007 to the shutdown of 2013, and i've been playing toontown rewritten since 2015. let me tell you... this game is my number one favorite game of all time. no other game could ever come close to the love i have for toontown. the memories i made in both TTO and TTR are irreplaceable, and i hope to keep making memories like that for years to come.
