{while on patrol, barkpaw seems to get rather distracted by a small rabbit. eager to impress his warrior friends, he decides to go on an impromptu hunting trip. he follows the rabbit back to it's burrow. he dives in after it, but his shoulders are too wide. the rabbit escapes and he cannot get out. he struggles, fear making the tunnel constricting. black spots were clouding his vision. he thought he was going to die. but suddenly, a strong pair of paws yanks him out of the burrow, throwing him on his rump. he coughs and squints at the harsh sunlight. in front of barkpaw stands another
apprentice. they do not look enthused about having to rescue the tom. however, they bring him back to camp and duckstar offers the apprentice a place to stay.
