Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings, but otherwise, they share the same long, strong legs, powerful hind, and great speed of ordinary Thoroughbreds. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually are somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Pick how your Euphorians move forwards!

xxxxthe biggest change in angelo's life would have to be switching barns, as this event was the catalyst for several other diversifications. at his old barn, angelo had never been the bold or adventurous type. he was never quite comfortable with himself, feeling as though he was a stranger in his own body: his birth name, "angel," didn't resonate with him, the pronouns "she" and "her" were too feminine for his liking. his mother tried her hardest to get him to go romp around with the other foals, but despite all of her pestering, he preferred to stay by her side. she was always a bit concerned about this, saying that he needed to socialize in order to grow into a proper mare. angelo, however, was content watching the clouds drift by in the cerulean sea of the sky, searching for snails in the verdant grass, and frolicking with the butterflies. the other foals would sometimes tease him for his abnormal behavior, calling him names and laughing at his excitement for what they considered menial. even his training was no escape. others his age would show off the new dressage moves they learned that day or share their new best time on the barrels. angelo just didn't particularly feel as though either was his passion, nor did he excel in either.

xxxxangelo's transfer to MVE was a relief; a sweet, long-overdue breath of fresh air. the novelty of everything and everyone around him motivated him to start anew. on his first day there, as he was being led out of the trailer, he caught sight of something out of the corner of his eye. in one of the vast arenas, there were multiple large objects protruding from the sandy floor. they were set out in pairs, each supporting several vibrant poles. there was a variety of colors and patterns, the sight of which awakened something inside of him. the thing that had caught his eye was a striking palomino. she was golden in the blazing sunlight, with what could only be described as stars glistening on the honey-colored parts of her gorgeous coat. she seemed to glow as she soared through the air, clearing one of the obstacles with ease. standing idle in the center of the arena was another mare, this one spotted with cream. though she wasn't quite as remarkable as the other mare upon a first glance, her eyes were radiant. they were an incandescent freshwater blue, crystal clear and expressive as can be. the stablehand escorting angelo followed his gaze to where the eye-catching mares practiced and chuckled. "you wanna be a jumper, girly?" angelo snorted, earning a hardy pat to his neck. "i'll let the boss know, maybe you can give it a try." while angelo didn't appreciate being called that, he couldn't get his mind off of those two mares.

xxxxinspired by the unfamiliarity of his new home, angelo had decided to truly start over. he switched things around until he felt much more comfortable with himself: he added an 'o' to the end of his name, becoming "angelo," and began using "he" and "him" as pronouns. these alterations made him feel more at home in this new environment. he found it easier to socialize with his new identity and got to know his neighbors. he was also given a chance to try jumping, which he found himself to really enjoy. the trainers seemed to think that he was fit to become an exceptional show jumper. he still owed those two mares a 'thank you' for captivating him and making the stablehand approach the owner about his interest. eventually, their names came up in conversation: soleil and arlene. he also learned that they were in a relationship. angelo was crestfallen. he had hoped to have a chance with either of the two, but both of them were now off-limits. he was too anxious to even approach them, worried he may mess up his words and ruin his chance at a friendship, if nothing else.

xxxxangelo didn't have to. it turns out, the mares had been on their way to training one day and saw angelo in the arena, practicing. they apparently fell in love with his liquid gold spotted coat and the grace with which he glided over the jumps, even at such high speeds. supposedly, the two had already had a discussion about possibly being polyamorous, or being open to a relationship with more than one partner. when they came up to angelo as he was exiting the gate to the arena, their riders stopped for a moment to discuss training schedules. the mares took this moment to introduce themselves. though it was brief, angelo knew he harbored some type of feelings for the two. little did he know, they were mutual. several of these passing conversations occurred within the near future. the three gradually got to know each other. angelo learned how the other two met, while his newfound friends learned of his story and his identity. eventually, the mares decided they wanted to invite him to join their relationship. they weren't quite sure how he would respond, as they didn't know his sexuality or if he had any experience with polyamory, but they opted to give it a try anyway. it's a good thing they did, as the three are now happily in a relationship. they can be found enjoying many activities together; searching for shapes in the clouds, resting in the field, and encouraging each other during training are among the countless traditions they'd adopted.

xxxxin short, angelo's move to MVE led to several other big changes in his life, from figuring out his identity to a change in his personality, as well as a blossoming passion for jumping and a polyamorous relationship to with two loving mares.

Genesis has gone through many transformations throughout his life, and many assume that his gender is one of them but it is not the biggest change that he ever went through. The spotted palomino never questioned his gender, to him he was always a man and he knew that; honestly his transition was probably the biggest change for others in his life. For Gen, the largest transformation in his life was a series of break-ups and a blossoming of a new mentality. It started before he 'transitioned' when others still called him 'she/her', and he found love in a dismal being. Or so he thought he had love, instead what he had was a situation that he was comfortable and he had grown accustomed to comfort. The relationship was far from healthy but Genesis always found reasons to stay, reasons that "it is love", and so many reasons why he couldn't leave. Honestly it wasn't totally his choice to leave, his partner realized that Genesis was distant and for some reason the day he was called out on it, Gen didn't deny the unhappiness any longer. And once he realized how good it felt for him to recognize how unhappy he was, he didn't want to stand in the way of feeling more. The break up between the two was messy, and Gen leaned on his friends for support until one day they decided to leave too. Or rather they decided to side with someone that made Gen feel so much unhappiness that he needed to leave them behind.

It was in this time that Genesis hit his lowest point; but as the saying goes you have to hit your lowest to reach your highest. Once he was free of the weight of negative energy that had been surrounding him, Gen realized that he was free to be himself. It was only once he went through the change of energy around him, that he was able to transition into the being that he had always been inside. The new beings and energies surrounding him accepted Genesis as a "he/him" and helped him create a positive outlook on his life. It was only when Gen felt ready to face his unhappiness did the biggest changes in his life happen.

Daffy never really thought about stopping to smell the flowers, ironically given his name, but it was true! He was always the kind of person who put 100% of his effort into helping other people and to seeing that his job got done right. He would bend over backwards for others, even if his load was already great enough that he was barely seeing to everyone's requests.

Many times prior, his friends had all asked him to say no and to take a break, but Daffy always told them the same thing:

"Fulfilling requests makes me feel good about myself. Helping others is what makes me happy!"

Daffy's friends knew though that if he did not learn to take time for himself, that eventually, he might grow to resent his charity towards others. They did not want him to take a break for themselves, but so that Daffy could continue to enjoy doing what he loved. Daffy would always chuckle and tell them that he would always love working for others.

This was again true, until about a month later when Daffy had finally pushed himself too hard. His mental health had hit an all time low, something he saw coming but chose to ignore in order to have more time to get things done. His friends had reached out again with their concerns, and Daffy took the time to listen, and soak it all in.

He agreed that he simply had to take time for himself and that stressing about getting things done for his friends or otherwise over his own health was going to make them worry more than if he had to say no.

Since this revelation, Daffy has learned that saying no does not make him a bad friend, and that sometimes taking a moment to smell the flowers makes him feel like he can do anything! (311)

congrats to honeybunchesofoats! daffy's character was so cute, he seems like such a sweetheart. i think the lesson he learned is a very important one for everyone to learn, so i'm glad he's become more confident in himself and learned how to prioritize himself when he needs it. <3
