--The move starts. The group is large enough that a couple more cats are lost as Twolegs invade just as the clan gets ready to move. It wasn't the start that Raptorstar had hoped for, but he knows nothing can be done and they need to get moving if he's to keep the majority of the clan safe.
--The apprentices and mentors adjust to training while traveling. Terrapinpaw takes to helping the new apprentices hone their skills, enlisting Brightpaw's help as their mentors focus on keeping the clan safe for the most part, and keeping them fed.
--Charclaw takes it upon himself to scout ahead, enlisting Durianchase, Blackbirdshriek, Morningdew, and Eveningrain to help him. While Raptorstar and Cicadastar are too busy trying to balance the clan to notice his clear leadership, Blackbirdshriek finally decides to break his silence towards his brother so that Charclaw's help does not go unnoticed. The small patrol become the official sentries, sent ahead to make sure the clan can keep going. They save the clan more than once from various predators or dangers.
--Timberleaf is exhausted, and Slatefang warns him that he needs to rest too. Leafbare is a cruel season, after all...

▶ OVERVIEW

CascadeClan shelters in a small, lush, fertile river-valley centered around a pond. The weather is mostly warm, moist, and humid. A farm can be found on the hill northwest of Cascade known as the Ricefields. Rice and wheat are grown there and it makes the perfect hunting ground. To the east of Cascade is a jungle filled with exotic creatures known as the Wildcries. It's rumored that another Clan lives deep in the tropics, but no cat of Cascade has ever met one of theirs. The jungle is the second hunting ground, but only skilled cats can go in there since the Wildcries are a very dangerous place. Cascade cats have no dens excluding the nursery, known as the Lodge. Cascadors sleep in nests made of lush grass. All cats sleep in the same area regardless of rank; however, sick cats sometimes stay at the Barn while carrying drizzles and younger droplets remain in the Lodge. Cascade cats can be found in all colors though some are less common than others. Dark-furred felines are seen often, with red coming in as a close second. Brown is significantly rarer for whatever reason, as are cream and other diluted colors. Solid white is much more common than partially white, though these felines rank in between greys and brown. Only shorthaired cats dare to venture in the wilds near the equator, though the occasional naive, lost, and pampered kittypet can be seen failing to cross the street.
