Delaney is arrogant, thinks he's indestructible, and a troublemaker. He breaks the rules for the thrill of it. He's a flirt but mostly just because he thinks it's fun. At most, it's a passing interest or general appreciation of aesthetic, but he plays it up as if he is madly in love with everyone he meets, because you only live once, right? Might as well make it a fun one. He's super inquisitive, and that's going to get him in trouble someday. Getting out of the trouble he lands himself in is also one of his best skills, though. He's good at sucking up, not just flirting, and when he makes a promise or commitment, he always sticks to it. He's kind of stuck up and doesn't like being called immoral just because he has erratic tendencies. He has an excess of energy as well as insomnia, so he rarely sleeps. He keeps getting himself into tricky situations and coming out of it a little worse for wear. One of these days he's going to seriously hurt himself, but he has no self-preservation instinct. He always manages to just barely get out of dangerous situations, so he has a lot of scars, most notably missing a piece of his ear, and sometimes walks with a slight limp despite his age.

Delaney has always rushed into things head-first, even before he was a werewolf. Sometimes he likes to joke that it's a surprise he wasn't turned into one sooner; he's twenty-four, and only been one for four years. Which also means he's been avoiding his brother for four years. Not entirely, but...enough to keep him safe. Despite all appearances of detachment from any sort of deeper emotional bond, Delaney loves Sky, and he wishes he could share his life with him more, but he knows he's in a dangerous situation, and he loves it, but he wouldn't wish that on anyone else who didn't choose that life too. A dangerous adventure is one thing, but when his entire existence is dangerous? He'd rather not get his brother involved, who is the kind of person who was always too sweet for their own good. Delaney actually started his chaotic lifestyle when he broke Sky's fall from a drop that would have killed him, and the rush he got from that, despite the broken bones, was enough to send him spiraling into extreme sports and outdoor adventures, and...magic and wolves, which was unexpected, but he's rolling with it. He's the resident tech expert, which was why he was able to travel so easily with a remote job, though it does pain him that the town seems to be stuck in like, the 80s.
