Fleck - Tags: Quetzal
He had been sleeping when he felt a bundle of fur crash into him. Fleck jolted up with a snarl brimming from his lips, then paused as he saw the flustered, handsome tom before him. βItβs uh, itβs fine. I shouldnβt have been sleeping there anyways,β he said awkwardly. The ginger tom coughed to clear his throat, then continued. βMy name is Fleck. Youβre... Quetzal, right? What are you doing here?β He inwardly slapped himself - why was this tom so... so... charming?! Normally he wouldβve chewed anyone else out, but for some reason found himself tongue tied.

"Quetzal I am, and Fleck you are," the somali chirped jovially. "An' well, I reckon I'm here because you are. And dear Kalypso there, too." He nodded to where the lanky siamese lie outstretched in the sun. Quetzal leaned in, his yellow gaze shifting from side to side as he murmured in a hushed voice: "I had a dream, 'bout two days ago. Some starry fellers told me I needed to be here." The tom straightened, rolling his broad shoulders. "Wish they would have given me more notice; I live clear on the other side of the island. 'twas a bit of a trek but I managed just fine. It's been awhile since we've all been in the same place together. How ya been? You look good!"
Quetzal wasn't one to be such a chatter box, but his anxiety about the dream and of seeing the other cats was making his mind whir as fast as a hummingbird's wings. Some of the cats around the island used to talk of a group of cats who used to live among one another, united under a noble code. It seemed to him that the ghosts of those cats had been reaching out to the others on the island; it couldn't be a coincidence that several of them were here, showing up at the same time in the same place. What could they want? Maybe one of them was going to be chosen for something special.

Kalypso didn't particularly consider herself one to follow orders, but her piqued interest led her paws to the broken tree two days after the dream she had received. She wanted to see what these sparkly ghost cats had in store for the island -- probably something far more exciting than what was usually going on, anyway. It was so hard to get to the others these days, so many of them were always so rude! She could never get a mouse-length over any "border" before it was all "RRRRR! Get off my land! RRROOOOW! HISS" --and what fun was that? She wasn't much for physical mischief; she much preferred to weasel her way into cats' heads, and they didn't like to give her any chances to do so. If StarWhatsit had a plan for them all, Kalypso would have her pick of the litter. No-one would be able to hide from her prying claws anymore.
She smirked as she came upon the broken tree. The siamese didn't bother hiding, but strode out into the open and spread herself languorously in the rays of the sinking sun, in plain view of anyone watching or approaching the area. With any luck, some unfortunate soul would come and talk to her. She kept her eyes wide and inviting as she gazed around, pausing only to groom her fur every now and then, or watch some seagulls fly overhead. Kalypso perked her ears at a sudden commotion at the edge of the gathering place. Narrowing her eyes, she spotted the handsome Quetzal among the ferns, along with Fleck's paler ginger coat.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxββββIt was sudden, silence quickly broken by a sound carried upon the wind, albeit a quiet one, no more than a whisper. "Whoever you are, silence yourself! Can you not see I'm trying to rest?" She hissed, though the whisper did not cease. Ears lowered, the large feline arose to her paws, green gaze narrowed as she scanned the area. Alright, where was this nuisance? It was time to show them a thing or two since they seemed so intent on annoying her.
ββββ"You coward, show yourself." She demanded. Her lips began to curl slightly, revealing pearly white fangs. Suddenly a form appeared before her, eyes glittering ever so bright. "Amusing you are. If only I had the time to truly enjoy it." The strange being said with a shake of his head. "And who might you be? I don't have time for games." She replied with a huff. The tom laughed softly, before speaking once more. "If it matters that much, I am Eaglesky, one of your ancestors." Before Equinox could speak, the tom raised his tail to signal for silence. "You are right. You have no time for games, you should be glad this isn't one. I advise you to take my words seriously. Head to the broken tree. I cannot answer all of your questions, time is short. Do as requested and perhaps, things will become clear." The russet molly bristled, tail beginning to lash. "Broken tree? For wha-" Before she could even finish her sentence, the tom had disappeared, a mere echo in her mind of a single sentence. "Danger lurks nearby. Head to the broken tree, your answers will rest there."
ββββAnd thus, the molly now saw her destination up ahead, her ears twitching at the sound of water nearby, the waves casually lapping at the shore's edge. However, as she neared the broken tree, the forms of other felines came into view. "I don't remember that tom saying anything about other cats. Ugh..." The feline grumbled some other words under her breath, continuing to stride toward those visible. Most of them were alone, with the occasional small group chatting among themselves.
ββββShe felt herself growing increasingly irritated as she observed those around her. That tom must've lied to her. She didn't see any answers nor anything that was remotely interesting, instead she had walked right into a group of cats. Even worse, those types of cats. "What is this?!" She exclaimed, a clearly displeased expression upon her face. "A cheerful little gathering? How lovely. I had thought this would be something important, but it seems I've made a mistake... What an unfortunate waste of time." She concluded, slowly settling down upon the ground. She hadn't aimed her words at any cat in particular, instead merely releasing her feelings into the very air. She despised this all already. Perhaps she ought to leave, obviously there was nothing important here anyway.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxββββHe could feel someone watching him, a pair of eyes that couldn't be seen but surely could be felt. His eyes darted about wildly, tail twitching nervously. The lynx-point didn't dare speak, for fear of what may come to pass due to it. Maybe if he stayed quiet, whatever it was that was watching him would go away. He remained such for what seemed like forever, shoulders tense and eyes wide with alertness. Alas, he believed that he was in the clear. He exhaled, shoulders slacking. And then, a voice spoke.
ββββ"At last. You have finally relaxed." Of course, after that statement the tom instantly tensed up again. "I- Of course I'm relaxed! Who are y-you? W-Where are you?" He called out, before a sudden figure appeared in front of him, harboring a starry pelt. A sigh escaped from the feline before she spoke. "Please, do not be fearful. I am merely an ancestor of yours, Fernflight. I have come with important news, words that one must heed to if they wish to truly li-" Winter was quick to cut the cat off, icy gaze narrowed slightly. "What do you mean? Ancestor? Doesn't that mean you're dead? Wait...does that mean I'm dead?!" He exclaimed, looking himself over to assure that he hadn't suddenly become a starry figure himself. "No, you're not. Young one, these things are complicated. You s-" "Young one? Who said anything about being young? I'll have you know I'm not a kitten." The starry cat let out a huff, her tone now changing. "Such is quite obvious. Now let me speak. You're needed at the broken tree, arrive there in two days. Do not pester me with questions, there's no time for them. Things will become clear with time." And with that, the cat disappeared, right as Winter was about to speak. Sheesh. Could've at least been a decent ancestor.
ββββWinter hadn't slept very well since having the dream, constantly wondering whether or not he should follow the instructions given to him. He didn't like the idea of travelling there just because of a dream, but something about not doing it just didn't sit with him right either. In the end, the tom decided he'd just do it. He'd merely have to hope nothing negative would come out of it, even as simple as a waste of his time.
ββββThe moment he set eyes on the broken tree he knew he was in trouble. There were other felines nearby, thus placing a sickening feline within the pit of his stomach. Winter was not a social character, thus trying to immediately make himself small and unnoticeable. He thought he'd be the only one...apparently not. Skittering off, the tom found a decent place to hide himself for the time being. He hoped. Now to find out what he was supposed to do. Just great...I knew I shouldn't have come. Where is that stupid so-called ancestor now? He asked himself, tail twitching as he warily watched the other felines.

Fleck - Tags: Quetzal, Finn
βOh, really?β Fleck asked, surprised that he wasnβt alone in his dream. βA tom named Leapingstar who claimed to be my ancestor visited me. And yea, I donβt live very close either so it was a bit of a pain getting here. Iβve been good, though youβre about as big as I remember, heh.β He paused as he looked around at the slowly gathering crowd of cats, some he knew, others barely. They all mustβve had similar dreams... Then Finn came up to the tree with a loud βHi!β βItβs going. I assume youβre here because of those star cats too?β

ο½γ ISLAND CAT β’ tom β’ fifty-six moons β’ no crush/mate β’ tags and mentions: others at treeγthe closer axel got to the tree itself, the more unfamiliar scents crossed his senses. he noticed then that there were quite a few cats already here, it seemed he hadn't been the only one to be told to come here. the cat approached and dropped his little leaf full of herbs before deciding to greet the others "well, seems i have plenty of company today. I take it we all are here due to some strange cats?" the tom questioned the others before running a few quick licks over his chest to flatten his pelt a little. the moon was almost high in the sky, meaning that something was bound to occur hopefully, though he didn't know as to what.

ο½γ ISLAND CAT β’ female β’ thirty-four moons β’ no crush/mate β’ tags and mentions: none γthis was quite the trek and she wasn't fond of making it. having left hours prior, she was just within sight of the tree. when she spotted the other cats she lashed her tail in annoyance. "just great." she muttered as she stayed a good bit away in the distance. she didn't need to be at the tree to see what would happen, or so she thought. the feline sat down where she was, blending in quite well with the darkness due to her pelt. the moon would be high in the sky soon, then she'd leave once whatever happened occurred. reaper had no other reasons to be here after all.
