♪ Foxcatcher
tom ; warrior ; tags: ploverheart
When Foxcatcher turned and saw the attractive molly meandering towards him, suddenly his confidence started to slip. He recognized her scent from the PineClan border, so at least he knew she was friendly, but now he was aware that he wanted to make a good impression on her. He cleared her throat as she made it to him, and dipped his head politely, albeit a bit awkwardly. "Hey! Didn't think I'd meet such a pretty molly tonight, but here you are." He meowed, flashing her a wide grin with confidence reinstated.

❋ Brindlebirch
molly ; perma queen ; tags: mapleshadow
Brindlebirch couldn't hold back a purr when Mapleshadow spoke. "You know I'm always happy to see you." Her reply was soft, and laced with nerves, but genuine as it could be. Her eyes widened when the Highgarden molly produced a delicate rose, its petals still full of color despite not being in season, and she swallowed her surprise to hear Mapleshadow stuttering about something- not what she had ever expected from the confident molly. She leaned down and daintily touched her nose to the petals, holding her breath so as not to damage it, and when she rose again she couldn't keep the smile from her muzzle. "Mapleshadow- it's beautiful. Seriously, no one's ever given me something so lovely." She glanced at her paws for a moment, building up the courage to say what she next had in mind. "It... it's like you, in that way."

❧ Poppyshade
molly ; warrior ; tags: jayswoop
Poppyshade's body slumped as she sat unceremoniously on the ground, her claws digging in to the dirt. "I told him to come with me. He was so scared, and I... I left him. Stars, I told him!" She hissed suddenly, but halfway through it stopped short and choked into a sob. She looked away from Jayswoop as if the movement would erase the guilt and grief writing a novel across her expression. After a few moments of slow but heavy breaths, she glanced back at him with watery eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize... the battle must have been so horrible to go through. I just... have a lot to talk about with Brambletuft, now."

✥ Lotusfall
molly ; warrior ; tags: splitfire
Lotusfall peered over the hill, taking in the many different pelts and scents before taking a tentative step in. She drew in a slow, nervous breath and padded down, looking anxiously for her mate's colorful fur. She wanted to update Splitfire on their daughter, Lilykit, but it had been a while since the two had seen each other, and she hoped that Splitfire would be happy to see her again. Unable to see her yet, Lotusfall took a seat near a large fern bush and waited for IslandClan to arrive.

ᴋʏᴀɴɪᴛᴇ ᴋᴇᴇᴘ

♛ Night of the Stars
molly ; queen ; tags: rookstar
Night let out a soft mrrow of amusement at Rookstar's worry of turning into a puddle. Her own silver and black pelt was quite short and she often found herself wishing for longer fur since the caverns that made up Kyanite Keep's camp certainly didn't lend any heat, especially in the colder seasons. Standing here in the Gathering, though, she couldn't say she envied the other leader's predicament. "I hope you get a chance to cool off before the night's end. Do you have this trouble in your own territory, or is it cool where you live?" She observed the tom's lax appearance, deciding that he was decent company after all, and doing her best to set aside her nerves. "I'm glad to have made your acquaintance as well," she meowed, giving another slight dip of her head. She stiffened a bit upon hearing that Rookstar had never heard of Kyanite Keep, but she had to remind herself that after the original Clan fell to civil war, it would make sense that no modern cat would know of them. "You seem like a level-headed cat. So, what is your experience leading ChessClan like?"

☄ Blaze of the Stars
tom ; king ; tags: open
Blaze of the Stars was completely new to Gatherings, and it was painfully evident in the way he had to stop short once he crested the hill and looked in. He couldn't help but be awed by the sight of more cats than he had ever seen in his life, which was admittedly short compared to some, but he certainly hadn't thought he was going to be this surprised. The overwhelming amount of new scents hitting his nose made him dizzy, and he paused to collect himself before gathering his courage and plunging into the clearing. He knew he was supposed to sit near the leaders, but as he was new and Night had already wandered off somewhere, he just picked a relatively clear spot and sat awkwardly with his tail wrapped over his paws.

//ARCTICCLAN//

Dandelionstar - Tom / Leader / Tags: open
Dandelionstar led his clan to the edge of the gathering, glancing back at his clanmates who looked kind of confused too. He was glad he wasn't alone in his confusion but he quietly led his clan to an open spot in the clearing. He didn't know where the leader's were meant to be, and sort of wished Lavendereyes could be there with him, but she was in the nursery so for a temporary deputy all he had was Ghostfall, a responsible cat, sure, but not what Dandelionstar had in mind when he asked Lavendereyes who the temporary deputy should be.

He should've seen it coming, Ghostfall was her mate. Well, he couldn't go back in time, so he kept his thoughts to himself. Dandelionstar made himself comfortable, listening the the many voices around him, some of his own cats and some from other clans.

Ghostfall -Tom / Temporary Deputy/ Tags: open
Ghostfall followed Dandelionstar to the small empty space in the clearing, he glanced around, there were so many cats with so many scents, almost overwhelming. The tabby sat down, taking in the different sights, the different cats with different colours and how green the place looked, nothing like the white snowy plains of ArcticClan.

Frostgaze -She-cat / Medicine Cat / Tags: open
Frostgaze glanced around, getting distracted by the sight of so many cats, almost forgetting to follow the rest of her clan she paused, her ears twisting, trying to take in all the noises, then she had noticed that Dandelionstar had led the clan to a grassy patch. The lynx point she-cat pushed through the crowd with an awkward smile, apologising every step of the way.

Other cats attending that aren't mentioned:
Hootflower
Morningchill
Dunlinswoop

SPRUCECLAN
-----

CRICKETPOUNCE | Deputy | M | 82 moons | TAGS: Frostflower (PineClan)
A flash of waving white fur in his peripheral vision caught Cricketpounce’s eye. Perhaps it was coincidence, but the nearly inaudible one-two step of a PineClan cat, stealthy as even the clumsiest of their number were, could not be ignored. “Frostflower!” Cricketpounce called, whirling around to greet her with a smile. And as he’d thought, the white molly hovered just behind him, long tail swaying in the gentle breeze. “I’m so glad to see you here this evening. It’s really been too long. How have you and Ramkit been?”

JAYSWOOP | Warrior | M | 40 moons | TAGS: Poppyshade (VagaryClan)
Jayswoop, already fighting back his own tears, rushed forwards to butt his head against Poppyshade’s shoulder. It was the best comfort he could think of. “None of this was your fault,” he choked out. “That Sharptalon guy took everything from us. Badgerstripe’s childhood, Ravenswoop’s future, your brother, the lives of so many good, good cats...” Here, Jayswoop had to pause, the grief of Riverhowl’s passing still heavy on his mind. When he turned back to face Poppyshade, the look in his face could only be described as thunderous. “It’s his fault. All of it. I’m glad he’s dead.” Jayswoop’s uncharacteristic fury leaving him, he sighed, and offered his old friend a smile. “Um... before... before he died, Violetspark did end up asking Crowears on a date. Thought you might want to know.”

CRIMSONTAIL | Warrior | M | 26 moons | TAGS: open!
Crimson bared his teeth in frenetic glee, splitting from the fold of his clanmates into an enveloping crowd. SpruceClan called him Crimsontail, perhaps a wry jab at Crimson’s daunting plumage, but he wasn’t particularly bothered. Hardly a moon he’d spent with the mountain cats, and now he was accompanying them to a meeting between more clans than he could count. He liked the thrill of it, of running headlong into danger and the shock of adrenaline that followed suit. The Gathering wasn’t exactly dangerous, as far as he knew, but it was still nice to be somewhere where he could play around for the evening. And as Crimson raced into the fray, he could hardly help himself from yowling in delight. This was certainly going to be fun!

BRAMBLINGPATH | Warrior | F | 23 moons | TAGS: Owltalon + Hornetsting (The Fallen)
By her third circle around the Gathering place, Bramblingpath found herself succumbing to boredom. Surely, it would be more interesting to find someone to talk to! As she slowed her brisk pace to a walk, the nearby bushes rustled in the wake of a small clan entering. Two mollies, one a mottled tortoiseshell not unlike herself and the other pitch-black in color, trailed off to a stop as the two older warriors leading the way split from the group. Curious now, Bramblingpath let her head tilt to the side and padded closer. “Hello,” she greeted, smiling lightly at the two newcomers. “I’m Bramblingpath from SpruceClan. Mind if I join you two?”

STORMPAW | Apprentice | M | 9 moons | TAGS: Caperpaw (CascadeClan)
Stormpaw paid little attention to the cats around him at first, too focused on the whirlwind of his thoughts. It was a regular enough occurrence for his mind to be occupied with Darkpaw and Betonypaw’s shenanigans that he didn’t snap out of the haze until . Eyes brightening with eagerness, Stormpaw padded after the small cat he’d spotted behind a larger, black and white tom. They were an apprentice, probably, who looked about as old as he was. Curiosity sparked, and so the little ginger tom wriggled past the warrior keeping an eye on the object of his attentions. “Hey,” he called to the black tabby, his own striped tail rising in curiosity. “M’names Stormpaw. What’s yours?”

GOLDEN KINGDOM
-----

FROST’S SHEEN | Crown Princess | F | 23 moons | TAGS: Chasmstar (ChessClan)
“How fascinating!” Frost’s Sheen purred, long white tail flicking side to side with childlike intrigue. But Chasmstar’s explanation of the ending tradition struck a chord of empathy. With a half-smile, Frost thought back to the bloodstained legacy of the Golden Kingdom and the tenuous relationship she and Crown of Embers shared with the spirit of its founder. It was with some relief that she allowed her mind to drift instead to Chasmstar’s query. “For those who adhere to the traditional naming system, yes,” she meowed. “A suffix is chosen to describe the qualities of one’s name.” Frost’s Sheen laughed airily, dipping her head. She knew perfectly well that it was an odd system, but hopefully, Chasmstar would understand. “We are born with one name, which changes with rank just as a clan cat’s might. Myself, I was known as Kit of Frost in kittenhood, Young Frost as a squire, and then became Frost’s Sheen upon knighthood.”

LYNX’S PROWL | Knight | M | 54 moons | TAGS: Sunflicker (LightClan)
“It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Sunflicker!” Lynx’s Prowl rumbled, offering his own smile in return. He stretched out slowly, dropping down into a seated position and tilting his head towards Sunflicker. “I’ve always thought these Gatherings were a nice place to make friends. Is this your first?” After a moment of thought, Lynx offered another question. “Ah, but I’m getting ahead of myself. I meant to ask you what clan you call home! Myself, I come from the Golden Kingdom.”

MAISIE | Knight | F | 43 moons | TAGS: Conuresun (TidalClan)
“Life in TidalClan sure sounds nice,” Maisie hummed, already visualizing it in her mind’s eye. “Peaceful days by the shore... why, that’s any cat’s dream! Or, at least, for us the Golden Kingdom. We don’t often see a body of water bigger than a puddle!” Chuckling a bit at the mental image of Conuresun and Sanderlingfrost bobbing up and down in the ocean’s tides, Maisie nodded as her half-sister confirmed the absence of her mate. “You’ll have to tell him that I said hello!” she purred. “It was nice to meet him at the last Gathering.”

DESDEMONA | Knight | F | 37 moons | TAGS: Fluttercloud (MoonClan)
“Thank you,” Desdemona murmured, climbing atop the rocks, and nodding in appreciation as she settled into the space that had been cleared for her. The stones were still sun-warm and made a pleasant surface to sprawl all four of her spotted legs across in contentment. For a moment, Desdemona just relaxed into the warmth, focused on nothing but the quiet breathing of her neighbor. But while sitting in comfortable silence with this unknown molly was already quite nice, she was curious as to whose company she was keeping. “My name is Desdemona,” she offered, flicking one silver ear in the molly’s direction. “What’s yours?”

RUSA’S RACE | Knight | M | 16 moons | TAGS: Blaze of the Stars (Kyanite Keep)
Rusa’s Race might not have had the same je ne sais quois that made Otter’s Fang so imposing and intelligent, but he had been raised by the tom. Rusa knew the tells of a cat with power, and he knew just as well how to spot a cat feeling out of place. Right ahead of him was a ginger tom, sitting alone and without conversation for the night. Already, the young knight began to plan. He was the son of a king’s advisor; associating with powerful figures was practically in the job description! Rusa grinned sharply, bone-white teeth flashing, and bounded forwards to meet his newest friend. “Greetings!” he sang, little bobtail twitching. “My name is Rusa’s Race, and I am but one knight representing the Golden Kingdom this evening. What’s a cat like you doing without company?”

YOUNG ALYSSUM | Squire | F | 8 moons | TAGS: Willowdancer (Celestial Beings)
Alyssum smiled to herself as she padded into the Gathering-place after the rest of the Golden Kingdom. It was indeed a bustling, noisy hubbub of activity, just as Frost had said, and the cacophony of sound and scent assaulting her senses had Young Alyssum nearly reeling. Still, though, the excitement brewing beneath her skin went untempered. She knew she was small and dainty, like her father and her sisters and her brother, but she was not afraid. Not even when she bounded headfirst into a full-grown molly! Stumbling backwards, Alyssum’s face felt as warm as her ginger fur as she stammered apologies to the ticked tabby before her. “My name is Alyssum, and I’m a squire from the Golden Kingdom,” she said, once she’d collected herself enough from the embarrassment. “Sorry again for bumping into you!”

CHESSCLAN - JUNE 2021 - 006

Postby chaotic creativity » Tue Jun 08, 2021 3:06 pm

      CHESSCLAN !!
ROOKSTAR - Tom - 57 Moons - Roi - Tagged: Night of Open Stars (Kyanite Keep)
Rookstar noticed that Night of Open Stars was steadily becoming more relaxed, and he let out a mental sigh of relief. "In ChessClan, there's always a wonderful breeze. If the day gets too hot, the camp is right on a stream that is perfect to take a dip in," he chuckled. His clanmates constantly teased him for being part fish, but he would spend plenty of time in the stream if he felt like it. She began to talk again, and he nodded along until she was waiting for an answer. He took several noticeable seconds to think, but he smiled as he knew what he wanted to say. "It's a struggle to gain the respect of so many cats, but I've figured out that being friendly often helps. I've got a young son who just received his apprenti name, and I noticed a lot more cats paying attention to me when they noticed how I spent many hours out of my days in the nursery with him when he was still young," he meowed. Many of the younger mothers had grown closer with him while Dauphinpaw had been in the nursery, and he knew of several younger mollies who would now back him up if the Clan began to splinter as he feared it may. Half of the Clan backed him, but the other half backed Chasmstar with their entire hearts. "There's been more good times than there have been bad," he meowed, shaking his head to banish the thoughts of his Clan troubles. He didn't need to let Night of Open Stars know about the issues, as it was Clan matter, even if he wished to bare his soul and lay all his troubles out before her. He had a bad habit of not keeping his worries to himself when he needed to, and he was sincerely working on it.

    CHASMSTAR - Molly - 48 Moons - Dame - Tagged: Frost's Sheen (Golden Kingdom)
Chasmstar listened to Frost's Sheen's explanation of her name with wide-eyed wonder. 'Kit' and 'Young' seemed to be similar to the suffixes '-kit' and '-paw', so it made rather perfect sense in her mind. "Frost's Sheen was a rather perfect name for you, if you don't mind my saying so," she meowed gently. She often wondered why Chasm had stood out to Loonfrost so much when she was named, despite Loonfrost's constant explanation of her stripes reminding her of the deep dark of chasms. "My own kits were rather easy to name. Loutresplash looked just like a little otter when she was born, Oursfang was broad-chested like a bear, and Bouespeckle had splatter-shaped brown markings which made him seem like he'd been playing in mud," she chuckled, her eyes softening as she remembered the time when her kits had still loved her. She simply left out her two kits who had passed due to Quickcough, but her heart longed for her three remaining to look at her the way they used to. They simply hated her now, and her heart fell as she remembered the day where they denounced her as their mother. "There's nothing like deciding on the name for a kit in the first few seconds you know them. I do, however, know some mollies who wait until their kits are nearly a moon old before naming them," she shook her head, not understanding why a molly would do that. As she realized that she was talking about kits with a molly who was rather young, she cleared her throat awkwardly. "I'm a mother, sorry, I get caught up when talking about the little beetles," she meowed, using the nickname she had always called her kits when they were little.

    RICHTERSCREECH - Tom - 67 Moons - Tour - Tagged: Open
Richterscreech just chuckled as Rookstar bounced around like a hyperactive kit. The tom had always been over the top and excited, and Richterscreech couldn't help but feel a fatherly love towards him. The two had been close ever since Rookstar had been his apprentice, and he smiled as the tom padded into the crowd. Richterscreech didn't spot any of the cats he'd previously talked to, so he smiled happily as he said hellos throughout the crowd. He was happy to be back after missing the last Gathering, but he was also too nervous to approach any cat just yet. With a smile, he sat down and began to scan the crowd for any familiar face. He just wanted a light conversation to carry through the night, but he didn't know who to approach first.

    WOLFWHISKERS - Tom - 72 Moons - Fou - Tagged: Emberspark (HazeClan)
Wolfwhiskers flicked his ears as Emberspark nudged him and spoke of him finding retirement boring. It was true that he enjoyed working, always having something to do, but he always thought he could use the days to laze about and do nothing but sleep in the sun. He could imagine the warmth now, stretched out on stones by the stream. He let out a shaky sigh, nodding to Emberspark. "I've looked forward to retirement since the day I joined ChessClan," he jested. He couldn't help but feel as if he'd worked for more seasons than he could count, but it'd barely been three season-cycles since he joined the Clan. His eyes wandered to where Lichenpaw and Lindtpaw were sitting, and he knew he wouldn't retire when they received their full names. He wanted to teach another medicine cat from the beginning; he wanted to see the lights turn on with each action and remedy they learn. "They'll never get my creaky bones out of the medicine den, and you know it. I'll haunt the place as a ghost once I'm in ÉtoileClan," he meowed, nodding firmly to Emberspark. The molly was sweet and kind, and he felt safe to be himself around her. He may continue to act tough and stoic, but she knew he had a kind and soft heart. Rocherpebble constantly teased him about how close they had grown, but Wolfwhiskers always looked forward to the Gatherings in the hopes of seeing her again. He almost wanted to tell her this, but he bit his tongue and looked away. He'd been so bold with Morningwhisper, his last closest friend, but something about Emberspark made him unwilling to admit his feelings and thoughts.

    FAONDAPPLE - Molly - 26 Moons - Fou - Tagged: Cloudtongue (PineClan)
As the tom introduced himself as Cloudtongue of PineClan, she smiled. She'd heard of PineClan before; Rookstar had spoken to their leader once. As he asked her about why she was called Faonpaw if she had her full name, she dropped her head to hide her blush of embarrassment. "I meant Faondapple," she meowed sheepishly, knowing she'd messed up. She was still getting used to calling herself Faondapple, and she couldn't believe she'd already goofed up at her first Gathering as a full fou. "I'm still getting used to the name," she chuckled lightly, hoping Cloudtongue wouldn't make fun of or laugh at her. She'd worked so hard, training entirely as a warrior apprentice and then switching to be Wolfwhiskers' apprentice, that she'd gotten so accustomed to being called Faonpaw. Her training had taken nearly twenty moons, after all. She had been Faonpaw longer than both Faonkit and Faondapple combined, and yet she was still entirely embarrassed to call herself the wrong name. "This is my first Gathering with my full name, and I'm so excited to be here," she purred, tail curling high over her spine. Most medicine cats that she had met had been kind, if not a little grumpy, and Cloudtongue seemed to be on the kinder side. She had yet to meet a genuinely cruel medicine cat, but she doubted that would ever happen. Why would a cat who hated other cats want to help them? In any case, she hoped to never meet a medicine cat she didn't like.

    LINDTPAW - Tom - 14 Moons - Fou Apprentice - Tagged: Open
Lindtpaw let out a quiet growl as Lichenpaw began to chase him. "You'll never catch me!" he cried, running in a circle around Faondapple. The two cats were delighted as they ran, and he skidded to a halt as Wolfwhiskers began to scold them. "I have more sense than a kit," Lindtpaw gasped, placing his paw on his chest as if in shock. Wolfwhiskers just shook his head and padded off, quickly followed by Faondapple. "Well, where would you—" Lindtpaw was cut off as he realized Lichenpaw had already dashed away. The molly was clearly eager to be at the Gathering, so he stumbled through the crowd slowly. He wanted to find other apprentices, maybe even another medicine cat apprentice, but he felt that the chances were low. With a grumble, he sat down and let his eyes flutter closed. He was just going to take a quick nap, and then he'd find someone to talk with.

    LICHENPAW - Molly - 10 Moons - Fou Apprentice - Tagged: Open
Lichenpaw nipped at Lindtpaw's tail and began to chase him, growling lightly as they spun in circles. As Faondapple tapped her on the nose, she spotted Wolfwhiskers trying to hide his smile. He quickly reminded them of the rules, and Lichenpaw stuck her tongue out at him. As soon as he began to leave, she took off at a full run into the crowd. She was so eager to find a cat to talk with, she just wanted to know more about the world. She'd never left the territory, and all she wanted was to learn about other Clans nearby. Other Clans were always so interesting, even if she loved ChessClan more than any other cat.

    OISEAUDAPPLE - Tom - 21 Moons - Cavalier - Tagged: Quakestone (Highgarden)
Quakestone spoke of tournaments, and Oiseaudapple longed to have something similar in ChessClan. "It's feather-brained that roses can't participate in the spring tournament. If you could, I might just sneak in to watch you put all the toms on their tails," he meowed with a huff, pretending to be more serious than he really was. As she mentioned the rose tournament to find an heir if there wasn't one, Oiseaudapple shuddered. "I couldn't imagine having to rely on a tournament for the next dame and roi. It's a good thing that we have a tour to take over when they pass," he meowed. Richterscreech was getting old, so it was clear that he would be replaced soon since it didn't seem that Rookstar and Chasmstar were going anywhere anytime soon. Quakestone asked about traditions in ChessClan, and he just shrugged. "Our final assessment is a two moon ordeal. We have to start at the far point of the Northern Pass and survive on our own in the treacherous terrain until we make it back to camp. No cat comes back unscathed, and many don't come back at all," he meowed. He was reminded of when Fourmisplash took off after a gut feeling told him that Acaiheart was hurt. When the tom returned with the injured apprenti, it had only made Oiseaudapple even more afraid for his own final assessment. Yet, all he'd returned with was a hidden scar on his belly from a close call with an eagle. "It's a shock I made it through with just the one scar," he purred, his heart racing as he remembered the fight for his life.

SPIRIT - Molly - 21 Moons - Cavalier - Tagged: Sunlight (The Fallen)
Spirit nodded as Sunlight shared her name and her Clan. She had heard snippets about The Fallen, she believed that one of her leaders had spoken with One at a previous Gathering. "I guess apprentices would like that sort of thing," she meowed, sticking her nose up as if she hadn't been their age less than a season-cycle ago. She was glad she had joined ChessClan when she did, just barely old enough to be a cavalier. She didn't know how she would have reacted if they had wanted her to train as an apprenti despite being as old as the oldest apprenti. She did watch the other cavalier closely, having so recently escaped from being a kittypet, but she was learning quicker than if she were being taught one on one. She had learned through trial and error during her journeys, but she was still a weak hunter and fighter. She participated in more drills than the average cavalier, mostly learning from those sparring around her, and she attended as many hunting parties as she possibly could. "Some of those apprentices are probably stronger and more skilled than I ever could be," she chuckled. Several young cats dedicated themselves so whole-heartedly to their studies that they were able to outsmart even senior warriors. Those were always the apprenti that brought the most honor and pride to their mentor, and Spirit hoped that one day she could train her own apprenti like that. "Have you been in The Fallen for very long?" she piped up suddenly, remembering she was in a conversation with Sunlight.

    LAPINHOP - Tom - 22 Moons - Cavalier - Tagged: Shadowgaze (TidalClan),
Lapinhop's long legs were aching by the time he reached the Gathering. His eyes were strained from being narrowed against the bright sun through most of the journey, so he walked with his eyes mostly closed until they reached the crowd. He stepped on several paws and tails until he stopped to apologize to one molly. "I'm extremely sorry, my eyes still hurt from that intense sunlight we had today. Why couldn't we have had a single cloud for cover?" he moaned dramatically, resting his paw on his forehead and swooning backwards. He had hoped to make a good impression on the molly, who was just a blob in his sight as he tried to open his eyes wider. He knew there was only the light of the full moon, but it would take him several moments to adjust to the semi-darkness. He'd been warned as a kit that his eyes would make him more easily hurt by the light, but he hadn't believed them until recently when he couldn't leave the trees until the sun was beginning to set. He sat beside her and rubbed his eyes with his paws, the blurryness beginning to retreat from his vision until he finally stopped and turn to look at the molly fully. She was rather pretty, with her pelt shimmering in the moonlight. Lapinhop noted that every pelt seemed to shine in the moonlight in a way completely different than in the sunlight. "It's beautiful out here tonight, now that I can see," he chuckled. He was tired and could have taken a nap right there, but he knew he needed to stay awake and at least talk to one cat at his first Gathering.

THE ORDER OF THE HYENA !!
    HYENA'S BREATH - Molly - 36 Moons - Matriarch - Tagged: Open
Hyena's Breath narrowed her eyes as she approached the Gathering. The last time she had attended the Gathering, she hadn't had a single member in her Clan other than herself. Now, she had an Aide, an Herbalist, and three Scavengers. All five cats followed along behind her, and she turned to nod at them slowly. They fanned out behind her, their thin frames hidden behind long claws and bared teeth. She wouldn't do to have her Clan present themselves as quiet and calm, and she nodded as she saw them hiss at the cats who got too close to them before they reached their destination. "Now, you know to only gain information. Never give away any news about the Order," she meowed, slinking off towards the leaders as the rest of her Clan broke apart behind her. She sat down and swept her tail close to her, her strangely mottled tortoiseshell pelt making her blend into the dappled shadows across the ground.

    CIVET'S SCURRY - Molly - 34 Moons - Aide - Tagged: Wispwillow (SnowClan)
Civet's Scurry nodded as Wispwillow spoke. The danger of a blizzard nearly lured the molly in, her feelings catching her off-guard at the sheer amount of fear she could feel ebbing through her bones at the thought of one. "It's good that your Clan has measures in place for the worst outcomes. The Order doesn't have a set place to go if the floods ever reach our camp," she chuckled. Hyena's Breath clung to the hope that it would never come to pass despite Civet's Scurry's constant nagging to set aside plans for every opportunity. Civet's Scurry planned for the worst and hoped for the best; those words were her entire life motto, even if it often annoyed Hyena's Breath. The two mollies had become extraordinarily close over their few moons together, despite what both would say. "I'm genuinely hoping that neither of our Clans are subjected to the torment of harsh weather in the next few moons," she meowed politely, smiling at Wispwillow. The herds were moving back home, and it was never good for a pop-up storm to happen. The herds split and got lost, often trampling through camps and leaving behind a wreckage that would take nearly a moon to clean up. Civet's Scurry groaned silently at the thought of rebuilding camp again, but she would do it if Hyena's Breath was completely set on them staying in the same place rather than move despite what every cat begged her to do. The camp may hold personal meaning, but it would hold no cats soon from how unprotected it was.

    OSTRICH'S CRY - Molly - 43 Moons - Herbalist - Tagged: Halepen (CascadeClan)
Ostrich's Cry listened to Halepen explain what each of the ranks did at the Gathering, noting that something called a deputy existed. The Order didn't exactly have a deputy so to speak; the Aide carried out the Matriarch's wishes, making them almost like a second in command, but the Shadow was more respected than the Aide in every fashion. As Halepen commented on her name and asked where she was from, Ostrich's Cry bit back a sharp retort about how he didn't need to know. She took a deep breath to calm her threatening temper and put on a clearly forced smile. "I am from The Order of the Hyena, a Clan that takes shelter on the Savanna," she meowed, wondering if she should scare him with stories of the predators and massive prey animals that they shared their home with. The predators were dangerous, but you couldn't survive if the prey animals the large predators went after stepped on you. Giant hooves and teeth alike haunted the Clan's dreams, and Ostrich's Cry shook her pelt out as she was brought back to the present. "Halepen's a rather unique name as well. I've never heard of a hale, a pen, or a halepen," she meowed, not knowing if Halepen was one name or a prefix and a suffix. There were so many unique names in the world, and Ostrich's Cry wanted to learn more about them. She might have found the cats detestable and rather avoid them, but sometimes doing things you didn't like was all you could do to reach your goals. Ostrich's Cry only wanted knowledge, not friends or companions or a mate. She found that she'd never felt the love other cats spoke of, and she was content with that. Her wish to learn was much more important than any form of relatoinship.

    ZEBRA'S GALLOP - Molly - 40 Moons - Scavenger - Tagged: The Tree (DuckClan)
Zebra's Gallop's mind was racing as The Tree spoke. She was still perplexed, but she chose not to press the issue. Some traditions of other Clans would never make sense to her, and she felt it not to be beneficial to try and understand. With a sigh, she listened to where he came from. She had never heard of tribes, but she had definitely heard of Clans. "Matriarch Hyena's Breath might know more about tribes, so I'll have to ask her for more information about them. I've never actually heard about them," she meowed. The savanna was only home to the five Orders, none going by the name 'Clan' or even using traditional Clan naming systems. The only reason they were considered a Clan was because they claimed themselves to be one. "If I'm being honest, I've never heard of DuckClan. I've never actually heard of any Clan, but that may be because I'm so new to the Order, who is not bordered by any Clan," she chuckled. They were a secluded Clan, and she rather liked it that way. There was a high chance that this would be her last Gathering, mostly because she never wanted to return to such a large group of cats. It was rather unsettling to be surrounded on all sides after living in such a small Clan as the Order. She wasn't used to the large number of cats in one place, but she wondered if the Order would ever grow large enough to have more than a dozen cats in their camp. She couldn't help but chuckle at the thought, especially since the Order had been so small for several moons now.

    WILDEBEEST'S STAMPEDE - Tom - 38 Moons - Scavenger - Tagged: Fairytail (MoonClan)
Wildebeest's Stampede could see that Fairytail was slowly becoming more comfortable the more they spoke. Fairytail was a rather unusual name, mostly because Wildebeest's Stampede didn't know what a fairy was. "You have nothing to apologize for, Fairytail. Some cats struggle with conversation and meeting new cats, and that's completely fine. Several friends I've had were the exact same way," he chuckled, remembering how Crash and Boom had always frozen and mumbled any time they met a new cat. At the thought of his old friends, who he hadn't seen in many moons, he couldn't help but wonder what they were up to now. What was in the past stayed in the past, so he turned his attention back to Fairytail. "It's good to be wary with what kinds of cats are running around nowadays. There's been too many stories of cats trying to take over Clans to fully trust a cat at your first meeting," he rumbled, hoping to comfort her but wondering if it was at all the right thing to say. "I'm not saying that I'm one of those evil cats, at least I don't think I am, I just thought it might help. I mean, with your nerves. Well—" he quickly clamped his jaws shut and shook his head, refusing to speak another word before he fully thought out what he was meaning to convey. Zebra's Gallop always teased him that he had a tendency to get tongue-tied out of the blue, but he always hated it when it happened around a cat he'd never met before.

    LION'S SHADOW - Tom - 41 Moons - Scavenger - Tagged: Mallowbrook (LightClan)
Lion's Shadow stared at Mallowbrook as she mentioned never hearing of the Order before. "We've come a rather long way, if I'm being honest. It was a several day journey to attend, which is why we don't make it to every Gathering. This is my first, and my Clan has only attended one other," he meowed, his voice just as quiet as when he had introduced himself to Mallowbrook. They had left approximately three sunrises before, and they'd traveled for several days to attend the Gathering. Hyena's Breath had spoken that she would only like to attend a maximum of every other Gathering, but Lion's Shadow knew they wouldn't even make it to that many. It was simply too far, and too tiring to attend very many. Lion's Shadow may still have been a relatively young scavenger, but he didn't want to spend most of his life traveling. He had settled in the Order for a reason, but he was willing to attend a Gathering every now and then. "Have you had to travel far? I'm not sure where any other Clans come from," he meowed. As a new member to the Order, he only knew that they didn't border a single Clan. Before the Order, he hadn't even known Clans outside of the five main Orders of the savanna even existed. Now that he was here, he was aware that Clans came from all around. While the Order may be removed from most of the Clans, he knew that he would happen across a Clan no matter what direction he traveled in. There were too many scents of different Clans to count, and it almost shocked him that this was just a small fraction of most of these Clans. It was beyond thrilling to think that so many Clans existed.

VagaryClan and Kyanite Keep | June 6 | 9

ᴠᴀɢᴀʀʏᴄʟᴀɴ

Poppyshade didn't realize how much she'd needed Jayswoop's touch in that moment until he was there, head buried in her shoulder fur, and she took a moment to rest her head on his while holding back another sob. Her mind was still swirling with disbelief- she couldn't believe that Violetspark was actually dead, not when she had been praying to StarClan that her siblings were well. When Jayswoop leaned back and recalled the precious things that Sharptalon had stolen from SpruceClan, it took almost all of her energy to shake her head sadly, but she found herself feeling a short flash of fear when her friend suddenly turned serious, a threatening gleam in his eyes. But the moment passed quickly, and she felt herself deflate as Jayswoop sighed wistfully. "Well... at least he did one thing right." She mewed, hoping the joke would lift the mood. "I... can't imagine how Crowears must feel. Please send him my regards, if you can. And please tell Daisystem I think about her every day. I know the last time I saw her, we were fighting, but that doesn't mean I don't miss her."

✥ Lotusfall
molly ; warrior ; tags: splitfire

In spite of herself, Night felt her eyes widen as Rookstar described the size of his Clan. Kyanite Keep itself was only four cats at the moment, and she shrunk in on herself just slightly as insecurity washed over her. But she let out a slow breath, determined not to let the seasoned leader notice her uncertainty, and nodded along. "I do my best to spend time with my Clanmates- admittedly, it must be a lot easier for myself than you, since ChessClan sounds like it is several times the size of Kyanite Keep." She offered Rookstar a friendly smile in hopes of showing that her comment was lighthearted. "And I'm glad to hear that there have been more good than bad experiences. I will say you seem a bit troubled, though- I don't wish to poke my nose into business that isn't mine, but if you need a friendly ear, I promise I won't use what you say against you." The statement was genuine, but she knew the offer could come off as offensive or intrusive, so she gave the tom another careful, hopeful smile.

☄ Blaze of the Stars
tom ; king ; tags: open
Blaze glanced over at the energetic little tom that had bumbled his way, unsure who he was or where had come from. His scent was entirely unfamiliar, as was the case with the rest of the Clans here, but the Clan name he had spoken of rung a faint bell in Blaze's head. Perhaps Night had mentioned it to him in the past? Either way, this stranger was here in front of him now, waiting expectantly for his response. He lightly cleared his throat and nodded to Rusa. "Hello there. Golden Kingdom, eh? I believe I've heard the name before. I'm Blaze of the Stars, king of Kyanite Keep. It's lovely to meet you." He cocked his head slightly at Rusa's question. "Like me? Ha! Well, I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I may be a leader, but between you and me, the leader's group looks a bit intimidating." He offered a small grin in return to Rusa's excited one.

SpruceClan + Golden Kingdom | June | 8

Postby ponz » Wed Jun 09, 2021 6:57 am

SPRUCECLAN

Jayswoop couldn’t help a chuckle, even if it sounded quite watery. Poor Violetspark, often his partner during sparring practice as apprentices, always had been slow on the uptake. “I’ll let Crowears know,” he promised her, as Poppyshade settled down and let the stiffness melt from her frame. “Daisystem misses you, too. I think just knowing you’re alright will make her day.” With the majority of the tension having faded into a comfortable silence, Jayswoop let his thoughts wander back to all of SpruceClan back in their camp. “There’ve been some good things, too, after the battle,” he meowed, hoping to brighten the mood. “Like... Ivystar appointed Cricketpounce to deputy, and stars, he’s doing an incredible job! And my niece, Bramblingpath, she’s become a warrior! Oh, and Daisystem and I, we’re thinking of having kits!”

“Why, thank you!” Frost’s Sheen purred. She ducked her head, flattered. “That is quite kind of you, Dame Chasmstar. I must admit, your own name is striking, but quite suiting as well. ‘Chasm’ is a powerful title to bear.” It was all Frost could do not to smile at the descriptions of ChessClan’s dame’s little ones, charmed by the nickname of ‘beetles’ for cats who were certainly grown warriors by this point. Her own mother, Snow’s Shimmer, had always called Frost, Light, and Ivory ‘bluejays’, because they’d mewled for attention day and night. “I think it is very sweet, how much you care for your kittens,” Frost’s Sheen said gently, blue eyes softening as the regal Chasmstar’s stern facade began to slip somewhat. “My eldest sister had a kitten of her own not too long ago... little Lavender is small, but already the terror of the nursery! I suspect she was named for her darker coat, and certainly not for a personality as delicate as a flower.”

“King Blaze of the Stars!” Rusa’s Race crowed, half in greeting and half in excitement. His suspicions had been right; Otter’s Fang would be proud, he just knew it! “Pleasure to meet you. And I simply couldn’t agree more,” Rusa sniffed primly, before breaking character to giggle at his own voice. His enthusiasm was tempered only by the relief of positive reception from King Blaze. Glancing back to the older tom, the small sepia point smiled goofily. “My dad— Otter’s Fang— is the Royal Advisor to Crown of Embers, and he always has to go be polite and “do diplomacy” or whatever. But just between you and me, that sounds sooooo boring. It’s better to hang out with cool cats, like me!” Still grinning, Rusa’s Race gave Blaze of the Stars another, more focused once-over. “You said Kyanite Keep, right? I thought my dad said Night of the Stars was their leader?”

Re: CascadeClan — Seventh Gathering — June [6]

Postby /nyx. » Wed Jun 09, 2021 8:36 am

CASCADECLAN !
Attending: Silverstar, Aldernight, Halepen, Choralpaw, Orchidrise, Aulandrawhisk, Pilferplum, Castedbreak, Caperpaw

Silverstar | Eye of the Cascade | female | 46 moons | Tags: Halfmoon [moonclan; LooneyLani]
Silverstar hummed, "It's not required to attend each full moon, though my younger clanmates insist that they'll die from boredom if I don't allow at least some of them to interact with otherclanners." She didn't mind much; her ways of leading differed from the other leaders. And then there were certain clans that attended Gatherings only once every couple of seasons... not that she had any right to judge. Silverstar smothered a laugh. "Yes, I'm doing well. I know how it feels, an influx of kits. The Cascade has more kittens than mentors at the moment; even with the rate at which the apprentices are graduating, I don't think we'll have enough." The molly shook her head. "Not that it's too troubling. The warriors seem excited to pass on their skills; at this rate, the kittens will be allowed to choose their instructors." Silverstar fell silent for a moment, the oddest feeling that she was forgetting to mention something... "Ah! I'm carrying," she shared, "kits. A gift from the Storm... the Stars. Though if I'm truly honest, I'm not sure how this parenting thing will work," the leader admitted sheepishly.

    Aldernight | Storm's Tempest | male | 49 moons | Badgermask [the fallen; salvation.]
"Congratulations," Aldernight offered. He thought about the ongoings of his own clan, parroting amiably, "Nothing much. Too many kittens and apprentices for the warriors to handle. The esteemed leader's solution? Graduate all the current apprentices without telling anyone, then assign each of them an apprentice, presuming that they prove themselves responsible enough to keep the rank. He shot Badgermask a wry look. "Does that sound effective to you?"

Halepen | Aura of Ripples | male | 22 moons | Tags: Ostrich's Cry [The Order of the Hyena; sharpiesandhamilton]
The savanna... Halepen forced himself not to comment so soon, not even when flashes of danger danced in his mind. Did that mean they interacted with lions daily? An Order rather than a Clan. That difference was... important. Yes, Halepen decided right then, Ostrich's entire order was something to be wary of. The butchering of his name forced him back to attention, not that be minded. Halepen was a stupid name; it wasn't even natural. "It's one word, no suffix or prefix," the healer disclosed. "A fruit-like herb that grows in the Cascade's territory. It's poisonous." The official pronunciation wasn't really halepen, but it sounded like that with the Cascade's accent, and otherclanners didn't need to know the truth. He complained, "My name used to be Ignition, like fire, which sounds way cooler in my opinion, but no, all healers need herb names. Jadewonder was lucky; she wasn't born a healer so she got to keep her name." He didn't really care if Ostrich understood his troubles or not; he'd gotten over it long ago. Most cats in his clan thought he was a brat, too immature to be a proper healer; they were the only reason he acted the silly way he did outside of camp. Randomly, he asked, "An ostrich is a big bird -- too/two long legs, blackish plumage, and a curved neck, hm? Like a cassowary?"

Choralpaw | Seeker | female | 10 moons | Tags: open! [clan; username]
Choralpaw dashes away, then glances around frantically. As long as she can see Castedbreak, she's not lost.

Copsewhistle | Aquamarine | female | 107 moons | Tags: Spruceleg [TidalClan; DaniCalifornia]
"Too old for Gatherings," Copsewhistle grumbled to herself, not bothering to hide her irritation. "See who's stopping me? No one! Lazy cascadors, always bumbling around." The former MistClan elder paused, scenting the air. Was that? "Spruceleg!" the molly called out, a smile growing on her maw. Ha, this is why she wouldn't take 'no' for an answer -- to encounter her ex-clanmates and see how far they'd come. Copsewhistle hobbled over to the other feline. "Are you happier now that MistClan's gone?"

Aulandrawhisk | Hayhunter | female | 15 moons | Tags: Seapaw [snowclan; beebun]
Aulandrawhisk kept on smiling, chastising herself for messing up proper pronouns. Bad her! She really should've known better. "Really?" she exclaimed, excited. "That's not a problem. I'll just stay here with you. If I leave, you'll get bored again, anyway, and bored cats always find trouble to get into!" she teased. "Or at least, that's what my friends always did." The warrior added, "Tell Snowballshine that I said congrats, alright?"

Pilferplum | Cyclone | male | 19 moons | Tags: Sycamoretail [duckclan; recognize]
"Nah, not really," Pilferplum replied. "Or sorta? I dunno." Usually, rebellions were squashed down pretty quickly, but the Cascade... had never been Pilferplum's idea of a safe place. There was always some underlying tension in the air no matter how hard he tried to ignore it... "Yeah, I dunno. But! The cats from my generation are all on good terms with each other. The older ones and the important high ranks... I think they all hate each other? Like an ongoing, serious game of mossball that no one's ever gonna win."

Castedbreak | Skullhunter | male | 32 moons | Tags: open! [clan; username]
Castedbreak steps away from his apprentice, searching for someone else to speak to.

Caperpaw | Torrent | male | 10 moons | Tags: Stormpaw [SpruceClan; ponz]
The apprentice grinned at Stormpaw. Storm, Storm, a sacred name in the Cascade, but a normal name in most other clans. "I'm Caperpaw!" the feline proclaimed, prancing around Stormpaw. "How long have you been an apprentice for, mm? What have you learned?" Other clans were soo intriguing. Caperpaw wanted to know everything about them in a not-weird way, of course.

CHESSCLAN - JUNE 2021 - 007

Postby chaotic creativity » Wed Jun 09, 2021 10:34 am

      CHESSCLAN !!
ROOKSTAR - Tom - 57 Moons - Roi - Tagged: Night of Open Stars (Kyanite Keep)
Rookstar smiled and nodded as Night of Open Stars spoke, but he shook his head as she offered to listen. "It's far too much for one night, anyway," he meowed with a dismissive wave of his paw. "I hope things have been going well for Kyanite Keep in its first few moons of life," he chuckled, assuming the Clan to be rather young if it only had four members. While the size of a Clan didn't always reflect the age, four was an awfully small number for any age of Clan. "I was just a little apprentice when ChessClan was first started, but I still remember how every cat knew every cat in those days. Now, it's hard to tell faces and names apart from the sheer number of cats in the Clan," he chuckled. He had debated on splitting the Clan into three groups, each with their own Tour to lead them, but he knew that ChessClan deserved to stay together. There were plenty of places to split the camp into, but there was something special about how big the main camp had grown. The mix of snores, sighs, and breaths of his clanmates soothed him to sleep each night, and he always had trouble sleeping when he wasn't slow close to over two hundred other cats. In fact, the number of cats at the Gathering soothed him to be more comfortable in a place that wasn't home. "Is it just you, tonight, or did you bring your entire Clan?" he meowed, wondering if Kyanite Keep in its entirety was at this one place. ChessClan used to bring every cat able to attend, but barely any warriors attended anymore. Rookstar hoped to change that in the coming moons.

    CHASMSTAR - Molly - 48 Moons - Dame - Tagged: Frost's Sheen (Golden Kingdom)
Chasmstar listened intently as Frost's Sheen spoke of Lavender. "You must be proud for your sister to already have a little one of her own," she commented with a smile. Certain kits had big personalities so early on, and they were always the most fun to watch grow. "She sounds like the perfect little niece. Is your nursery rather full at the moment?" she asked, shuddering at the thought of how many kits were currently residing in her own nursery. Several were older and nearly apprentices, but the mothers in ChessClan seemed to have larger litters more often than smaller ones. There were several mornings where the shrieks of kits playing made the molly wish the litters would be smaller, but the nights where she could sit and watch the piles of kits slumber would always remind her of her love for kits. "I can't wait for Leaffall, if I'm being fully honest. The trees are so beautiful, turning the mountains a blend of amber, gold, and brown. Not to mention the cooling of the weather, which is a welcome change after the unbearable heat of Greenleaf," she meowed. The breeze may keep her cool, but she much preferred when the weather was cooler. Snow often came mid to late Leaffall, and she couldn't wait for several of the kits' first snow. They were always struck with wonder and joy, and she couldn't help but wiggle a bit at the thought of it.

Ostrich's Cry recoiled at Halepen's sharp, but brief, explanation of his name. She knew he was withholding information, but a cat could choose just how much or how little to reveal about themselves. "Ignition is a rather cool name, and I'm sorry you weren't allowed to keep it," she meowed, scratching the front of her leg with her claws. As Halepen described an ostrich and compared it to something called a cassowary, she nodded. "They can't fly, and they've actually got lighter grey necks with black feathered bodies. They're fierce birds, rather dangerous if you get to close," she snapped, gnashing her teeth together as a joke. "The legs are the most dangerous part of them, though. They've got sharp talons, and they'll kick and scratch if they feel threatened. We know to avoid them if at all possible," she meowed, eyes narrowed.

HazeClan
Pantherstar | Female | 73 moons | Leader | Tagged: Cyanstar (QuickClan)
Upon being around some cat comforting and familiar to her, Pantherstar almost forgot about the others around them. Allowing her attention to focus on Cyanstar, but did her best to glance around the gathering here and there. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw her mate Pearblossom speaking with their son. Smiling, Pantherstar returned her gaze to Cyanstar and purred at the mention of Snakespots and the others dying to come visit Turtledove. The large gray and white she-cat perked up at the mention of more kits from Cyanstar and Falconflight along with her sister Dandelionspring. "I will most certainly have to pass this wonderful news onto mother. You know she'll be down in a heartbeat. We truly happy for you and the clan. I can't wait to meet those kits." She purred.

Starlingflight | Male | 75 moons | Deputy | Tagged: Spiritshackle (LyricClan)
Straightening up a bit, Starlingflight bowed slightly before meeting the she-cat's eyes once more. "I'm Starlingflight of HazeClan. The clan's deputy." he meowed, introducing himself. The tabby tom side stepped out of the way of a passing cat, looking around to find a spot to settle. Upon finding a decent spot Starlingflight sat and motioned for Spiritshackle to join him. "Come. Why don't we chat here. Less likely of a cat to trip over either of us." he purred.

Jayfur | Male | 83 moons | Advisor | Tagged: Neptunepaw (MoonClan)
Jayfur did miss having younger kits to look after, after all he enjoyed being a father. Now his daughters had grown and where beginning to start their own lives. However as he was getting older, he would settle with being a grandpa in the future and being a mentor. "I just tend to have a knack of knowing who's attending their first gathering. Tell me Neptunepaw, what do you think of it this far?" he asked curiously. Part of him instinctively wanting to protect the young apprentice.

Cloudynight | Male | 45 moons | Med. Cat | Tagged: Swancry (LightClan)
Pleased to know that Swancry and LightClan had been fairing well, the large fluffy black and white tom let out a content sigh. With everything getting back to normal Cloudynight felt like HazeClan themselves had been fairing well as well. Although there had been a decent amount of kits getting ready to become apprentice, with more yet to still reach the age of six moons. Smiling a bit Cloudynight spoke, finally answering the she-cats question. "It's been alright. HazeClan has many new apprentices with many more on their way in a few short moons. Means Vaporwind and I will have our paws full at some point." he chuckled.

Vaporwind | Male | 26 moons | Med. Cat | Tagged: Pearblossom (QuickClan)
Dipping his head to allow his mother to offer a quick lick between his ears, Vaporwind closed his eyes and let out a low rumbling purr. After she was done the tom lifted his head up, beaming brightly at her. "Oh you know how he is. He keeps me busy, but Cloudynight has always been a fair mentor. I think if any cat is working to hard it is him. I might kick him out for once and make him go visit his mate and daughter in PineClan. Get him to spend some more quality time with them." Vaporwind chuckled.

Emberspark | Female | 81 moons | Warrior | Tagged: Wolfwhiskers (ChessClan)
"You know. If you do retire that just means I'm gonna have to break a lot of rules to be able to have our chats." The ginger and white tabby she-cat chuckled. "I don't think the elder's den would be able to contain me... I'd still want to get out and explore. I've always been a curious cat what can I say." Emberspark chuckled once more. She wasn't sure if Wolfwhiskers would truly believe her about breaking rules just to talk to him. He was comforting in ways no cat had ever been or at least different from the way her family had comforted her. She wouldn't admit it out loud, but the Fou had been on her mind frequently.

IslandClan || June 2021 || 01

Postby obnixious » Wed Jun 09, 2021 10:48 am

IslandClan
please let me know if you'd like to to bring anyone else! I have more spots open

Swanstar | 101 Moons | Female | Leader | Tags: Duckstar (DuckClan)
paraSwanstar carefully picks her way through the crowd, head held high as she make sher way to where the other leaders gather. Her soft brown fur has been gaining more white recently, but it still carried much of its shine. She looks over the small crowd for a few moments, before carefully picking her way over to a soft yellow and white molly, a soft smile on her muzzle. "Hello there," she greets, head tilting gently to the side, "would you mind if I joined you?"

Minnowflight | 85 Moons | Male | Deputy | Tags: Richterscreen (ChessClan)
paraThe brown tabby wanders into the gathering with a bounce of his step, staying close to his mate and his little apprentice. He bumps his shoulders against Poppyflower's when they get closer to where the higher ranks sit, and takes a quick moment to nip at his ear fondly before he prances off to where the deputies go, ignoring the noises of complaint coming from his mate.
paraLooking over all the deputies, he heads towards a familiar tom, ears perked excitedly. "Hello! You're Richterscreech of ChessClan, right?" He doesn't remember talking too much to the other tom himself, but they are bordering Clans, so he recognizes him well enough.

Poppyflower | 81 Moons | Male | Medicine Cat | Tags: Open
paraThe ginger tabby scoffs as his mate prances off, playfully complaining about how the bite had hurt, and watching him head off to the other deputies with a clearly besotted look. Then he looks back to his apprentice, and gasps in mock offense at the look, swiping out to bat at his ears with a soft paw. The little apprentice ducks away easily, and before he can tell the little tom to go make some friends, he's already darted off into the crowd. It makes Poppyflower smile, remembering fondly when his and Minnowflight's own kits were so small, and makes his way over to where the other medicine cats have gathered.

Frostbitepaw | 10 Moons | Male | Medicine Cat Apprentice | Tags: Lichenpaw (ChessClan)
paraThe little ghost bengal did his best to stick close to his mentor, and scrunches up his face at all the clear signs of affection between Poppyflower and Minnowflight, sticking out his tongue at his mentor when the old tom playfully swatted at his ears. Frostbitepaw gives a small laugh, and then prances away from his mentor, tail lashing behind him as he heads into the crowd to try and find someone to talk to. This is his first gathering, and he's excited for it!
paraEventually he spots a little point molly, and trots towards her curiously, ears perked as he comes up to stand by her. "Hello! My name is Frostbitepaw, what's yours?"

Splitfire | 74 Moons | Female | Warrior | Tags: Lotusfall (VagaryClan)
paraThe black and ginger molly pranced eagerly into the gathering area, neck craned up as she tried to find her mate. She absently says goodbye to Badgersniffle as she splits away from the black and white molly, her mismatched gaze scanning the different pelts of different strangers for the soft red and white of Lotusfall.
paraEventually she catches sight of Lotusfall's soft pelt, and jumps a little in spot for a moment before taking off into the crowd, weaving easily between the strangers with a purr building up at the back of her throat, and happy "Lotusfall!" eascaping as she gets close enough to be heard.

Badgersniffle | 64 Moons | Female | Warrior | Tags: Rippledream (Celestial Beings), Shadowgaze (TidalClan)
paraBadgersniffle heads into the gathering at Splitfire's side, happily splitting from the older molly as they both set off to find their own respective mates. She's used to seeking out Rippledream, and it doesn't take her very long to catch sight of her mate, and the stranger that she's talking to. The sight makes her laugh a little, hoping that her mate has maybe made a new friend! So she prances over all the same, big fluffy tail leaving a meandering trail in the dirt behind as it flicks back and forth absently. "Rippledream!" She greets excitedly, bounding over to the two with a bounce to her step. "Who's your new friend?"

Pyrespire | 60 Moons | Male | Warrior | Tags: Willowdance (Celestial Beings)
paraThe large laperm heads into the gathering with a single goal in mind, dipping his head politely and mewing gentle "hello"'s to anyone he passes, but only having one he truly wants to speak with. He's looking for Willowdancer, and is excited to tell her about Maplespirit's new name. Her agreeing to be his mate had been quite a shock, and part of him feels guilty about his first litter, but he wouldn't trade Singehowl in for the world, nor does he regret having them with one of his best friends. Ivyblossom was a delight, and he still thoroughly enjoys her company, but he's glad to have settled down proper with WIllowdancer.
paraAnd speaking -- well, thinking -- of Willowdancer, he catches scent of her, and reroutes his course to follow her smell, excited to see her once again. Sure they can meet at the border, but it's much more fun to spend a whole night talking with her at the gatherings.
