♪ Foxcatcher
tom ; warrior ; tags: ploverheart
When Foxcatcher turned and saw the attractive molly meandering towards him, suddenly his confidence started to slip. He recognized her scent from the PineClan border, so at least he knew she was friendly, but now he was aware that he wanted to make a good impression on her. He cleared her throat as she made it to him, and dipped his head politely, albeit a bit awkwardly. "Hey! Didn't think I'd meet such a pretty molly tonight, but here you are." He meowed, flashing her a wide grin with confidence reinstated.
❋ Brindlebirch
molly ; perma queen ; tags: mapleshadow
Brindlebirch couldn't hold back a purr when Mapleshadow spoke. "You know I'm always happy to see you." Her reply was soft, and laced with nerves, but genuine as it could be. Her eyes widened when the Highgarden molly produced a delicate rose, its petals still full of color despite not being in season, and she swallowed her surprise to hear Mapleshadow stuttering about something- not what she had ever expected from the confident molly. She leaned down and daintily touched her nose to the petals, holding her breath so as not to damage it, and when she rose again she couldn't keep the smile from her muzzle. "Mapleshadow- it's beautiful. Seriously, no one's ever given me something so lovely." She glanced at her paws for a moment, building up the courage to say what she next had in mind. "It... it's like you, in that way."
❧ Poppyshade
molly ; warrior ; tags: jayswoop
Poppyshade did her best to let go of the breath she'd been holding, but it did nothing to loosen the knot in her stomach. She hadn't been to a Gathering since arriving in VagaryClan several moons ago, usually hiding her face to avoid being chosen- but it hadn't worked this time. The violent times she had left SpruceClan in had saddled more than its fair share of trauma on her shoulders, and now she couldn't bear to be around this many strangers at once without feeling on edge. So her pace was quick as she weaved in and around the crowd, trying not to meet anyone's eye, and doing her best to shake the tension from her muscles. Suddenly though, she heard a call, and she turned in shock to see a familiar face along gazing at her expectantly, the mountainous scent of SpruceClan radiating from his pelt. She let out a surprised laugh and bounded toward him eagerly. "Jaypaw! Hey! Wow, it's been so long I almost didn't recognize you! I guess I shouldn't call you Jaypaw anymore- what's your warrior name? I'm Poppyshade now."✥ Lotusfall
molly ; warrior ; tags: splitfire
Lotusfall peered over the hill, taking in the many different pelts and scents before taking a tentative step in. She drew in a slow, nervous breath and padded down, looking anxiously for her mate's colorful fur. She wanted to update Splitfire on their daughter, Lilykit, but it had been a while since the two had seen each other, and she hoped that Splitfire would be happy to see her again. Unable to see her yet, Lotusfall took a seat near a large fern bush and waited for IslandClan to arrive.

Night of the Stars trotted into the Gathering with her chin and tail high. While she really may not be all that confident, at least she could look like she was and fool the others into believing it. She remembered how at her last Gathering she had met the regal but kind Crown of Embers, and wondered if she might see him again, or someone entirely new.

snowclancan bring three more.
briarstar / leader / 56 m / tags: open
the tabby molly sits near the leader’s area, but doesn’t seem to want to interact with anyone yet. she looks annoyed, her tail flicking back and forth.
jinglenose / deputy / 36 m / tags: open
the tom blinked around, his eyes scanning the crowd. jinglenose held a rock in his paw, rolling it back and forth as a kit would. he had a wide smile plastered on his face. ever since he had become deputy, gatherings had been a treat. but he didn’t like being so far away from his mate and kits.. it made him nervous.
glimpsebark / med cat / 34 m / tags: open
“have fun, wispwillow!” glimpsebark mewed to the other molly— she had become fond of wispwillow over the moons she had known the blind cat. wispwillow nodded, a solemn smile on her face as she slipped into the crowd. glimpsebark sighed and walked away, going towards where the medicine cats met.
wispwillow / warrior / 35 m / tags: civet’s scurry the order of the hyena
what was an aide? a deputy? wispwillow thought, but kept her questions to herself. order of the hyena? sounded like a tribe. the molly in front of wispwillow had a tribe-ish name as well. “in snowclan its mostly.. snow, and cold. but in the summer we get relatively nice weather.” wispwillow tried to loosen up in favor of the conversation. “I don’t know if I'd be able to survive the hot weather, I’ve gotten too used to the cold.” the molly attempted a small smile.
snowballshine / warrior / 13 m / tags: pinepaw duckclan
“right?!” snowballshine exclaimed, happy that someone expressed her views. the other cats just thought that gatherings were for showing off and making sure that you had a good rep. at least that’s what their mother thought. “I like noise, but yeah, all the cats talking make a lot of it.”
seapaw / app / 12 m / tags: aulandrawhisk cascadeclan
aulandra. that name sounded familar. why? "hi. I'm fine.. bored, actually." seapaw's eyes gazed past aulandrawhisk into the crowd of cats around them. "seapaw, nice to meet you." the apprentice paused before adding, "how are you?

‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾Moonclan☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙
attending: halfmoon, blizzardstorm, lilybloom, fluttercloud, birdpelt, fairytail, neptunepaw
Halfmoon - leader - 49 moons - female - tags; silverstar [cascadeclan]Having already lead her clan to the past gathering (her first as leader), Halfmoon felt more sure in her pawsteps as the group travelled from down the mountains. Her dark grey pelt still felt heavy with the burdens of a leader, but some of the earlier anticipation & anxiousness has left her now, allowing the she-cat to stand taller beside her clanmates. Upon entering the clearing Halfmoon turned slightly to allow the others to disband and mingle among the many strangers while she stood still beside the almost towering frame of her deputy. There didn't really need to be any words exchanged between the two, something Halfmoon had learnt to grow grateful for, as the two had come to understand eachother and find a certain comfort in shared silent company. Giving herself another moment Halfmoon drew a breath before stepping fully into the gathering, tail swaying gently in goodbye to Blizzardstorm as she headed towards the other leaders, grey-blue eyes already locked on a familiar face.
"Silverstar". Halfmoon greeted the younger leader with a gentle smile as she came to settle beside the molly. With their clans' recent alliance Halfmoon found the quieter she-cat easier to talk to, and perhaps even, if she let herself think so boldly, a friend.
Blizzardstorm - deputy - 46 moons - male - tags; cherryfire [highgarden]The large deputy had kept a close eye on his daughter the entire trip down from their mountain home, unable to help the surge of nerves at the thought of Birdpelt getting lost among the sea of strangers, after everything his small family had gone through the last few moons he could barely stand the thought of losing his last kit. Seeming to shake himself out of his thoughts, Blizzardstorm's watchful gaze followed the young hunter as the group disbanded and began to mingle, the deputy comfortable staying rooted in his spot beside the nervous Halfmoon. When eventually the smaller molly moved off into the crowds, Blizzardstorm released a small sigh of his own and turned his attention from his daughter, he needed to remember his mate's words, nothing good could come of coddling Birdpelt now. In his idle wandering gaze the deputy caught sight of a young molly walking nearby, the large white tom wasn't so sure what drew him to edge closer to the molly but in just a few pawsteps he was close enough to reach out to the heir.
"Well, hello! You seem like good company".
Lilybloom - healer - 54 moons - female - tags; winterwood [duckclan]The younger healer's whiskers twitched in amusement as the other, Winterwood, gave his reasoning for being so out of breath, it seemed Lilybloom's initial assumption hadn't been so far off.
"It's quite alright, Winterwood. I'm Lilybloom, of Moonclan, and I'm almost certain there's no such thing as being late to one of these". The healer's tail fanned out in front of the pair, as if to make it more obvious she was meaning the gathering.
Fluttercloud - warrior - 41 moons - female - tags; desdemona (golden kingdom)
The warrior lifted her lazing gaze at the sound of approaching paw steps, finding another Molly with striking orange eyes heading towards the collection of pebbles where the warrior currently lay. Fluttercloud dipped her head in greeting as best she could before shifting slightly to make more room suitable for the molly. ”Hello, a pleasure to meet you. Ah not at all, please”. Fluttercloud flicked her tail over the space she’d made.
Birdpelt - hunter - 23 moons - female - tags; woodchuck [celestial beings]
Birdpelt couldn’t help but to tilt her head slightly as her newfound companion took a moment to respond, seemingly lost in staring at her, the hunter wondered for a second if she perhaps had said something weirdly. Birdpelt could feel her eyes widen at the sudden compliment, her head subconsciously ducking slightly in her sudden embarrassment, not knowing exactly how to respond to Woodchuck’s comment. “Oh thankyou Woodchuck! Your’s are beautiful too! And hmm, I’m not too sure what to say, I guess to all of us our own clan’s are quite normal? We tend to sleep through the days and stay awake as the stars come out, spending most of the night playing about in our territory”. The young hunter could almost hear the excitement in her own voice as she spoke of home, eyes sparkling as if reflecting the stars she could so easily see in memory.
Fairytail - hunter - 43 moons - female - tags; wildebeest's stampede [order of the hyena]Fairytail often wondered why she so readily volunteers to attend gatherings when, once she enters the usually packed clearing, she tends to find a quiet place to sit in comfort, exactly as she had done now. She was quiet by nature, a calming presence to most of her clan-mates, and usually easy to fall into conversation with. But at such large gatherings the hunter always found herself shying away from larger groups of conversing felines, prickles of anxiety coating her long fur as she went about finding her own spot. From where she now sat, between the roots of one of the many tall trees, Fairytail caught sight of a potential new companion as she watched the tom walk around closer to the outskirts of the gathering.
"Hello there", Fairytail's soft voice called out a greeting before she even realised the tom had stepped closer, the hunter could feel her fur warming as she called his attention and suddenly words came up short. Shoot, why did she have to become so awkward around strangers?
Neptunepaw - warrior-to-be - 10 moons - female - tags; jayfur [hazeclan]It seemed the young molly had yet to learn to keep her eyes forward during these large gatherings as in no time Neptunepaw found herself almost butting into the legs of a large tom, causing the younger to fall back in a mild shock. With large eyes blinking up at the stranger, Neptunepaw slowly rose to stand on her paws again and gave a small amused huff.
"Hello! I'm okay! Sorry for not looking". Her fur grew warm in her embarrassment of almost getting herself trampled in her first gathering, oh what would Blizzardstorm say?

ROOKSTAR - Tom - 57 Moons - Roi - Tagged: Night of Open Stars (Kyanite Keep)
Rookstar was watching his clanmates when a new cat walked into the group of leaders. He could see that Richterscreech, Oiseaudapple, Spirit, and Lapinhop were behaving themselves, so he stood and padded over to the newcomer. "Hello," he meowed, dipping his head as he knew this cat would be the head of a Clan and therefore deserve respect. She had her head and tail high, seemingly confident in her place and herself, and Rookstar took a deep breath. He could only hope she was conceited and self-absorbed, but he chided himself internally. He always told himself to not judge others before meeting them, and he shook his head to clear his thoughts about how this molly might act. "My name is Rookstar of ChessClan. I have seen you at previous Gatherings, but I've heard nothing of you," he meowed. While he'd seen her interact with other leaders, not many cats seemed to know who the she-cat was. If he was honest, she'd grabbed his attention before. He was always interested in meeting new cats, leaders and warriors alike. The past few Gatherings he'd spent time talking to leaders, so he knew that he'd need to approach a warrior or two at the next one he attended. He could feel his pelt dragging him down, and he quickly shook himself to try and feel less like he was melting. Being long-furred during the warmer moons was never a good thing, not in Rookstar's opinion, but he would work through the heat until he could cool off in the mountains on the return home. At the thought of a snow-capped mountain, he almost bounced with excitement, but he didn't want to act like a kit in front of a leader he had just met and not even learned the name of.
CHASMSTAR - Molly - 48 Moons - Dame - Tagged: Frost's Sheen (Golden Kingdom)
Chasmstar watched intently as Frost's Sheen spoke of her father. The name Crown of Embers was distantly familiar to Chasmstar, a name she'd overheard in snippets of conversations amongst other leaders at previous Gatherings. As Frost's Sheen asked if ChessClan was the Clan she thought it was, Chasmstar couldn't help but puff out her chest with pride. She had done what she'd wanted to achieve, to make a name for the Clan that had taken her in as a kit. "Yes, that is the one and only ChessClan. We're a rather large Clan, but you'd never guess from how few cats we bring to these events," she meowed, knowing they'd brought only their high ranks and a pawful of cavalier this time. Sometimes there were plenty of cats to attend, and other times they'd prefer to stay in their nest. "I do believe I have heard of your father, though only in passing words," she meowed, not willing to admit she had a habit of eavesdropping to those around her. A good leader was able to know what to admit to and what to keep hidden, and she believed her surveillance of all she passed should stay out of the spotlight. It was true that ChessClan was becoming well known, whether from their sheer number, their numerous out of Clan relationships, or their constant attendance of the Gatherings where they rarely spoke to the same cat twice. She knew certain cats sought out certain cats, like Richterscreech with his mates, Wolfwhiskers with Emberspark, or several younger cavalier with crushes, but Chasmstar made it a point to make her rounds and find new cats and new leaders to speak to at nearly every Gathering.
RICHTERSCREECH - Tom - 67 Moons - Tour - Tagged: Open
Richterscreech just chuckled as Rookstar bounced around like a hyperactive kit. The tom had always been over the top and excited, and Richterscreech couldn't help but feel a fatherly love towards him. The two had been close ever since Rookstar had been his apprentice, and he smiled as the tom padded into the crowd. Richterscreech didn't spot any of the cats he'd previously talked to, so he smiled happily as he said hellos throughout the crowd. He was happy to be back after missing the last Gathering, but he was also too nervous to approach any cat just yet. With a smile, he sat down and began to scan the crowd for any familiar face. He just wanted a light conversation to carry through the night, but he didn't know who to approach first.
WOLFWHISKERS - Tom - 72 Moons - Fou - Tagged: Emberspark (HazeClan)
Wolfwhiskers snorted as Emberspark called him a big softy. He knew she could reach the parts of him he preferred stay hidden, but he knew she was right. Faondapple had become a wonderful young fou, and he knew the Clan would be in good paws when he retired to make her the head fou. "I've served my Clan for plenty of moons. I'll likely only stay until I finish Lichenpaw's training, nut I may stay long enough to train another. It depends on how tired these old bones feel," he meowed, knowing there were plenty of older cats he was mocking with his words. As Emberspark's face fell, he could tell something was troubling. "You'll get an apprentice from this next batch. Your leader would be feather-brained not to give you one," he meowed, knowing it was true. Emberspark wanted to teach so badly that she should have had an apprentice far before now. Rookstar knew to give apprentices to those who loved to teach before those who don't genuinely want to pass on their knowledge. "You'll have to tell your leader that I said you deserve to be a mentor again," he chuckled, hoping she knew he was joking. He felt as if he could act like this around her, the way he couldn't act around his clanmates since he'd painted himself as the grumpy and reserved medicine cat. It was true that he dedicated all his time to learning, teaching, and healing, but sometimes he wished that he could spend more time with his family and friends without havign to worry what herb he would need to find to help the next injury.
FAONDAPPLE - Molly - 26 Moons - Fou - Tagged: Cloudtongue (PineClan)
As the tom introduced himself as Cloudtongue of PineClan, she smiled. She'd heard of PineClan before; Rookstar had spoken to their leader once. As he asked her about why she was called Faonpaw if she had her full name, she dropped her head to hide her blush of embarrassment. "I meant Faondapple," she meowed sheepishly, knowing she'd messed up. She was still getting used to calling herself Faondapple, and she couldn't believe she'd already goofed up at her first Gathering as a full fou. "I'm still getting used to the name," she chuckled lightly, hoping Cloudtongue wouldn't make fun of or laugh at her. She'd worked so hard, training entirely as a warrior apprentice and then switching to be Wolfwhiskers' apprentice, that she'd gotten so accustomed to being called Faonpaw. Her training had taken nearly twenty moons, after all. She had been Faonpaw longer than both Faonkit and Faondapple combined, and yet she was still entirely embarrassed to call herself the wrong name. "This is my first Gathering with my full name, and I'm so excited to be here," she purred, tail curling high over her spine. Most medicine cats that she had met had been kind, if not a little grumpy, and Cloudtongue seemed to be on the kinder side. She had yet to meet a genuinely cruel medicine cat, but she doubted that would ever happen. Why would a cat who hated other cats want to help them? In any case, she hoped to never meet a medicine cat she didn't like.
LINDTPAW - Tom - 14 Moons - Fou Apprentice - Tagged: Open
Lindtpaw let out a quiet growl as Lichenpaw began to chase him. "You'll never catch me!" he cried, running in a circle around Faondapple. The two cats were delighted as they ran, and he skidded to a halt as Wolfwhiskers began to scold them. "I have more sense than a kit," Lindtpaw gasped, placing his paw on his chest as if in shock. Wolfwhiskers just shook his head and padded off, quickly followed by Faondapple. "Well, where would you—" Lindtpaw was cut off as he realized Lichenpaw had already dashed away. The molly was clearly eager to be at the Gathering, so he stumbled through the crowd slowly. He wanted to find other apprentices, maybe even another medicine cat apprentice, but he felt that the chances were low. With a grumble, he sat down and let his eyes flutter closed. He was just going to take a quick nap, and then he'd find someone to talk with.
LICHENPAW - Molly - 10 Moons - Fou Apprentice - Tagged: Open
Lichenpaw nipped at Lindtpaw's tail and began to chase him, growling lightly as they spun in circles. As Faondapple tapped her on the nose, she spotted Wolfwhiskers trying to hide his smile. He quickly reminded them of the rules, and Lichenpaw stuck her tongue out at him. As soon as he began to leave, she took off at a full run into the crowd. She was so eager to find a cat to talk with, she just wanted to know more about the world. She'd never left the territory, and all she wanted was to learn about other Clans nearby. Other Clans were always so interesting, even if she loved ChessClan more than any other cat.
OISEAUDAPPLE - Tom - 21 Moons - Cavalier - Tagged: Quakestone (Highgarden)
Quakestone spoke of tournaments, and Oiseaudapple longed to have something similar in ChessClan. "It's feather-brained that roses can't participate in the spring tournament. If you could, I might just sneak in to watch you put all the toms on their tails," he meowed with a huff, pretending to be more serious than he really was. As she mentioned the rose tournament to find an heir if there wasn't one, Oiseaudapple shuddered. "I couldn't imagine having to rely on a tournament for the next dame and roi. It's a good thing that we have a tour to take over when they pass," he meowed. Richterscreech was getting old, so it was clear that he would be replaced soon since it didn't seem that Rookstar and Chasmstar were going anywhere anytime soon. Quakestone asked about traditions in ChessClan, and he just shrugged. "Our final assessment is a two moon ordeal. We have to start at the far point of the Northern Pass and survive on our own in the treacherous terrain until we make it back to camp. No cat comes back unscathed, and many don't come back at all," he meowed. He was reminded of when Fourmisplash took off after a gut feeling told him that Acaiheart was hurt. When the tom returned with the injured apprenti, it had only made Oiseaudapple even more afraid for his own final assessment. Yet, all he'd returned with was a hidden scar on his belly from a close call with an eagle. "It's a shock I made it through with just the one scar," he purred, his heart racing as he remembered the fight for his life.
SPIRIT - Molly - 21 Moons - Cavalier - Tagged: Sunlight (The Fallen)
Spirit held her long tail close as she stepped around paws and tails alike. She narrowed her eyes as an unsuspecting paw nearly stepped on the tail that was longer than her body, and she turned around to snap at them. Her lip was curled in a snarl as she approached a tom sitting by himself. He stuck out, which is why she approached him, and she dropped her sneer to replace it with a smile. "Hello there!" she called brightly, her tail swishing left and right behind her. "My name is Spirit," she introduced herself, head high but eyes twinkling with mischief. She was clearly a young warrior, barely old enough to have not needed apprentice training, so she hoped to not say or do the wrong thing. She was still extremely new to ChessClan herself, barely having made it through two moons before being asked if she wanted to attend the Gathering. She'd been eager, of course, to leave the territory after several moons of wandering. She didn't like to sit still, so she'd enjoyed the journey far more than any other cat in the party. Rookstar and Chasmstar had bickered the entire way, but that was all Spirit knew. She hadn't been in the Clan when the two were young and spry, madly in love with not a quarrel between the two. "I've never attended one of these Gatherings before, so do you know what I'm supposed to do? Rookstar said all I was supposed to do was talk, but is that true? He doesn't always say everything he means to since he gets tongue-tied so quickly," she meowed, chattering seemingly endlessly. She slapped a paw over her muzzle and looked up sheepishly, nervous in the chance the stranger now believed her to be a chatter-box.
LAPINHOP - Tom - 22 Moons - Cavalier - Tagged: Shadowgaze (TidalClan)
Lapinhop's long legs were aching by the time he reached the Gathering. His eyes were strained from being narrowed against the bright sun through most of the journey, so he walked with his eyes mostly closed until they reached the crowd. He stepped on several paws and tails until he stopped to apologize to one molly. "I'm extremely sorry, my eyes still hurt from that intense sunlight we had today. Why couldn't we have had a single cloud for cover?" he moaned dramatically, resting his paw on his forehead and swooning backwards. He had hoped to make a good impression on the molly, who was just a blob in his sight as he tried to open his eyes wider. He knew there was only the light of the full moon, but it would take him several moments to adjust to the semi-darkness. He'd been warned as a kit that his eyes would make him more easily hurt by the light, but he hadn't believed them until recently when he couldn't leave the trees until the sun was beginning to set. He sat beside her and rubbed his eyes with his paws, the blurryness beginning to retreat from his vision until he finally stopped and turn to look at the molly fully. She was rather pretty, with her pelt shimmering in the moonlight. Lapinhop noted that every pelt seemed to shine in the moonlight in a way completely different than in the sunlight. "It's beautiful out here tonight, now that I can see," he chuckled. He was tired and could have taken a nap right there, but he knew he needed to stay awake and at least talk to one cat at his first Gathering.
THE ORDER OF THE HYENA !!
HYENA'S BREATH - Molly - 36 Moons - Matriarch - Tagged: Open
Hyena's Breath narrowed her eyes as she approached the Gathering. The last time she had attended the Gathering, she hadn't had a single member in her Clan other than herself. Now, she had an Aide, an Herbalist, and three Scavengers. All five cats followed along behind her, and she turned to nod at them slowly. They fanned out behind her, their thin frames hidden behind long claws and bared teeth. She wouldn't do to have her Clan present themselves as quiet and calm, and she nodded as she saw them hiss at the cats who got too close to them before they reached their destination. "Now, you know to only gain information. Never give away any news about the Order," she meowed, slinking off towards the leaders as the rest of her Clan broke apart behind her. She sat down and swept her tail close to her, her strangely mottled tortoiseshell pelt making her blend into the dappled shadows across the ground.
CIVET'S SCURRY - Molly - 34 Moons - Aide - Tagged: Wispwillow (SnowClan)
Civet's Scurry could see the confusion in Wispwillow's face as she learned her name, and she had to stop from chuckling. It's true that the Order had a name and naming system unlike many other Clans, and Civet's Scurry couldn't help but smile at Wispwillow as she thought. "Oh, snow? I've never actually seen it," Civet's Scurry meowed. She'd lived on the savanna her entire life, joining the Order not long after Hyena's Breath had taken over. While the savanna could get snow, it hadn't happened in the seasons Civet's Scurry had been alive. "What's it like? I've heard it's cold and beautiful," she meowed, remembering the stories her mother had told her as a kit. Was it true that each individual snowflake was unique? Was it true that it covered the ground like a soft blanket and the grass became invisible? Civet's Scurry bit back her questions, not wanting to overwhelm Wispwillow with all her thoughts. Civet's Scurry did want to see snow once in her life, so she sincerely hoped that in this next cold season it would snow. The rainy season was near, and she didn't want to spend the entire time underwater, but she knew the likelihood of snow was zero since it would be warm until the end. She frowned as she realized she might have to travel to see snow, but the thought of wandering to witness what she hoped was all she dreamed seemed exciting. "How do you survive in all the snow, Wispwillow?" she meowed, wondering genuinely how it happened. Did they have to dig out their dens after each snowfall, or did they nest underground? Did they nest on top of the snow, or did they have a sheltered place that snow didn't reach.
OSTRICH'S CRY - Molly - 43 Moons - Herbalist - Tagged: Halepen (CascadeClan)
Ostrich's Cry listened to Halepen explain what each of the ranks did at the Gathering, noting that something called a deputy existed. The Order didn't exactly have a deputy so to speak; the Aide carried out the Matriarch's wishes, making them almost like a second in command, but the Shadow was more respected than the Aide in every fashion. As Halepen commented on her name and asked where she was from, Ostrich's Cry bit back a sharp retort about how he didn't need to know. She took a deep breath to calm her threatening temper and put on a clearly forced smile. "I am from The Order of the Hyena, a Clan that takes shelter on the Savanna," she meowed, wondering if she should scare him with stories of the predators and massive prey animals that they shared their home with. The predators were dangerous, but you couldn't survive if the prey animals the large predators went after stepped on you. Giant hooves and teeth alike haunted the Clan's dreams, and Ostrich's Cry shook her pelt out as she was brought back to the present. "Halepen's a rather unique name as well. I've never heard of a hale, a pen, or a halepen," she meowed, not knowing if Halepen was one name or a prefix and a suffix. There were so many unique names in the world, and Ostrich's Cry wanted to learn more about them. She might have found the cats detestable and rather avoid them, but sometimes doing things you didn't like was all you could do to reach your goals. Ostrich's Cry only wanted knowledge, not friends or companions or a mate. She found that she'd never felt the love other cats spoke of, and she was content with that. Her wish to learn was much more important than any form of relatoinship.
ZEBRA'S GALLOP - Molly - 40 Moons - Scavenger - Tagged: The Tree (DuckClan)
Zebra's Gallop was shocked by the cat's name. She'd heard of several unique styles of naming, but never anything like his. She curled her lip as she looked at him, wondering what his clanmates' names were if his was 'The Tree'. "What's up with your name?" she meowed, finally settling on bluntly asking him about it. She felt as if being polite and watchful would end with a boring conversation, so she went for it and decided to ask any question that ever popped into her mind. The tendrils of fog were just beginning to creep around the edges of the Gathering, and Zebra's Gallop took little comfort in the fact that it reminded her of home. The foggy nights were the worst; those nights were when the predators were bravest. Those nights, no cat slept in fear of a midnight attack. Those nights, all cats sat at the rim of camp so as to protect and guard all sides. The stars and moon were twinkling above, and she almost wished for the unobscured sky they saw at home. She always felt as if they were closer to the stars than any other Clan since the sky seemed to touch the ground on the Savanna. "Where do you come from?" she asked quickly, realizing she should probably speak more than five words that could be taken as rude. She felt as if she wasn't speaking enough, but she didn't want to speak too much and seem chatty. Conversations with strangers were hard to Zebra's Gallop; there were too many variables to consider to avoid hurting the strange cat's feelings. She shook out each paw individually, dirt and dust from the ground falling off quickly.
WILDEBEEST'S STAMPEDE - Tom - 38 Moons - Scavenger - Tagged: Fairytail (MoonClan)
Wildebeest's Stampede was wandering when he heard a stranger call out to him. He turned towards her, and he saw her clam up almost immediately. As he stepped closer, she seemed to get deeper under her own skin until an awkward silence surrounded them both. He knew she was likely to be awkward around strangers, but he couldn't help but cast one last glance over his shoulder towards Lion's Shadow. "Hello, my name is Wildebeest's Stampede," he meowed, his voice rough and deep. He had always had a low voice, quiet and rumbling, even as a kit. His mother had teased him for not having the characteristic squeaky kit voice, and he knew his littermates would have if he had had any. As an only kit, he'd grown up preferring his alone time, and the intense crowds of the Gathering were already unsettling him. "I can tell you're a tad nervous, but so am I. I prefer the quiet of being alone," he grumbled, hoping to break the ice with the molly who had called out to him. He offered a small, lop-sided smile. He was missing one of his large teeth, which always left his smile lop-sided. It wasn't exactly missing as much as it was broken, but that's what comes when you gnaw on the bones left by the vultures of the large prey animals. He watched the crowd near them, baring his teeth any time a cat seemed to wander their way. He'd rather keep this conversation one-on-one so as to keep the both of them from being any more awkward than they already were.
LION'S SHADOW - Tom - 41 Moons - Scavenger - Tagged: Mallowbrook (LightClan)
Lion's Shadow spotted a molly sitting and listening, almost similarly to the way he was. With a sigh, he heaved himself to his paws and padded over. Talking to another seemingly calm cat would do no harm, so he waved his tail in greeting as he approached. "Hello there," he called softly, his voice not loud but carrying. "I am Lion's Shadow, scavenger of The Order of the Hyena," he meowed in introduction. As he sat by the molly, he was taken aback with just how many cats had arrived at the Gathering in such a short period of time. His ears flicked back and forth, catching snippets of all the conversations surrounding them. He heard declarations of love, whispered pieces of gossip, and news of grief and sorrow. He couldn't help but hear, he had always been able to hear more than the average cat and listen to many things at once. He hated how it always caught him off guard in large groups, which was why he liked how small the Order was, but he knew he'd have to focus as hard as he could on the conversation he was hoping to have with the strange molly.

CASCADECLAN ! Attending:
Silverstar, Aldernight, Halepen, Choralpaw, Orchidrise, Aulandrawhisk, Pilferplum, Castedbreak, Caperpaw Silverstar | Eye of the Cascade | female | 46 moons | Tags: Halfmoon [moonclan; LooneyLani]
Seventh Gathering, the Storm's Eye thought to herself. Seventh, seventh... it felt like she'd attended way more than only seven. The leader watched as her clanmates wandered off; she noticed how her deputy always had that strange glint in his eye -- like an eagle hoping to single out a kit. She frowned at that. Aldernight would never hurt a kit. Well, he'd hurt Banjaxlock all those moons ago... but he wouldn't these days. Right? Silverstar's thoughts moved onto the Cascade's newest troubles -- an uneven ratio between ready torrents and available effluxes. She could assign two torrents to each efflux, but surely, that would decrease the quality of their education. Besides, effluxes chose their torrents; it wasn't her duty to choose for them. If an efflux wanted to train more than one feline at once, then she wouldn't stop them.
A semi-familiar voice interrupted her musings, and Silverstar turned to see the leader of MoonClan approach. "Halfmoon," she greeted, a smile growing on the silver molly's maw. The alliance offered her confidence that she hadn't held before. "I didn't see your clan last Gathering." Then again, not many at all attended the last full moon. "Have you been well?"
Aldernight | Storm's Tempest | male | 49 moons | open! [clan; username]
Halepen | Aura of Ripples | male | 22 moons | Tags: Ostrich's Cry [The Order of the Hyena; sharpiesandhamilton]
Halepen stood as the other feline approached, silently signaling for Choralpaw to run off already. If she was desperate enough, the seeker could always hang out with Orchidrise instead. It might've been the cat's tone or her tail, but something made the newcomer seem dangerous. Halepen almost wanted to laugh at that. After Langsat and Aldernight, Storm, even after himself, he should be immune to danger. The cats of the Cascade lived out in the open; the only dens were dug into the earth and reserved for the sick. Pre-dug graves, if anyone felt like being critical about it. Herbs were easy enough to find in a rainforest; they were stored away around camp—far enough away from the Lachlan that they weren't carried off into the lake during rainstorms, of course. And since it rained literally every other day, cascadors always carried a strangely unique fresh-and-exotic scent. That being said, extreme luck was the only reason that hordes of predators hadn't descended upon the clan yet. "I am Halepen, born from the Storm, healer of the Cascade," the tomcat returned the greeting. "Not much happens, to be honest. The leaders talk amongst themselves, the deputies make treaties, healers do whatever they want, and normal warriors hang out and talk. Oh, and apprentices use this time as a chance to make friends and earn a name for themselves outside of their birthclan." He inspected Ostrich's Cry impassively. "That's an interesting name, by the way," the healer remarked. "Where's your clan from?"
Choralpaw | Seeker | female | 10 moons | Tags: open! [clan; username]
Orchidrise | Gladehunter | female | 18 moons | Tags: open! [clan; username]
Aulandrawhisk | Hayhunter | female | 15 moons | Tags: Seapaw [snowclan; beebun]
The molly rolled her eyes dramatically. "Of course you're bored -- the entire point of a Gathering is to speak with other cats; otherwise, it's guaranteed to be boring." Unless there was some drama going on the high ranks, but that didn't happen very often. Y'know, with the truces and stuff. "Nice to meet ya, Seapaw," Aulandrawhisk chirped. "I'm doing pretty well myself -- oh, it's my first Gathering as a warrior! I mean, nothing at all changed 'cept the older cats don't give me that 'apprentices are so cute' look anymore." She added in afterthought, "Which clan are you from again?"
Pilferplum | Cyclone | male | 19 moons | Tags: Sycamoretail [duckclan; recognize]
The red tabby huffed a laugh at the return of his bow. Cascadors hated formalities, claiming that their traditions weren't the same as over-the-top decorum. His bow was a blow to any of his stuck-up clanmates watching. "Yup," Pilferplum confirmed. "CascadeClan, the Cascade, whatever as long as 'Cascade's in there somewhere. So where are you from?"
Castedbreak | Skullhunter | male | 32 moons | Tags: open! [clan; username]

HazeClan
Pantherstar | Female | 73 moons | Leader | Tagged: Cyanstar (QuickClan)
Upon being around some cat comforting and familiar to her, Pantherstar almost forgot about the others around them. Allowing her attention to focus on Cyanstar, but did her best to glance around the gathering here and there. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw her mate Pearblossom speaking with their son. Smiling, Pantherstar returned her gaze to Cyanstar and purred at the mention of Snakespots and the others dying to come visit Turtledove. The large gray and white she-cat perked up at the mention of more kits from Cyanstar and Falconflight along with her sister Dandelionspring. "I will most certainly have to pass this wonderful news onto mother. You know she'll be down in a heartbeat. We truly happy for you and the clan. I can't wait to meet those kits." She purred.
Starlingflight | Male | 75 moons | Deputy | Tagged: Spiritshackle (LyricClan)
Starlingflight was making his way towards where the other deputies usual sat themselves only to find himself getting tangled up with another cat. Letting out a startled meow the brown tabby took a few steps back and looked to see who was before him. It was a young looking she-cat who was clearly annoyed with herself or maybe even him for the incident. Quickly dipping his head to apologize, STarlingflight spoke. "I'm so sorry... Are you okay?" he asked, lifting his head back up to meet eyes with the she-cat before him.
Jayfur | Male | 83 moons | Advisor | Tagged: Neptunepaw (MoonClan)
Giving a small shake of his head and letting out a small chuckle, Jayfur crouched low to the ground to be at better eye level with the young apprentice. "It was not your fault little one. I should have been more careful. I am glad you are alright though. I am Jayfur of HazeClan." he meowed, dipping his head a bit before rising back up to his full height. "Tell me... Is this your first gathering?" he asked curiosuly.
Cloudynight | Male | 45 moons | Med. Cat | Tagged: Swancry (LightClan)
The fluffy black and white tom made his way about, almost taking a seat next to other medicine cats. That was until he caught sight of a familiar young medicine cat he had spoken to before. Swancry of LightClan. Smiling the tom padded over and dipped his head, gesturing to the spot next to her and speaking. "Mind if I sit Swanycry?" he asked, smiling politely at the young she-cat. She didn't know him that well, but back then with things going roughly because of the heartache and pain his brother caused Cloudynight had found himself in a dark place. That was until Swancry gave him kind words, giving himt he encouragement he needed.
Vaporwind | Male | 26 moons | Med. Cat | Tagged: Pearblossom (QuickClan)
Dipping his head to allow his mother to offer a quick lick between his ears, Vaporwind closed his eyes and let out a low rumbling purr. After she was done the tom lifted his head up, beaming brightly at her. "Oh you know how he is. He keeps me busy, but Cloudynight has always been a fair mentor. I think if any cat is working to hard it is him. I might kick him out for once and make him go visit his mate and daughter in PineClan. Get him to spend some more quality time with them." Vaporwind chuckled.
Emberspark | Female | 81 moons | Warrior | Tagged: Wolfwhiskers (ChessClan)
Wolfwhiskers always seemed to have the right words, it was amazing how he was able to lift her spirits. Letting out a chuckle, Embarspark gently nudged him allowing herself to linger a bit longer. Afterall she enjoyed the tom's touch and him in general. "I'm sure whatever you decided after Lichenpaw's training, your clan will thank you for all that you have you done. Who knows you might find retirement to be boring." She teased. With the thought of telling Panhterstar what Wolfwhiskers had said about how she herself should be allowed to teach another apprentice, Emberspark thought she just might. After all what did she have to lose? It wasn't like Pantherstar was unreasonable, heck the other she-cat might even find it a bit amusing.

snowclancan bring three more.
briarstar / leader / 56 m / tags: open
the tabby molly sits near the leader’s area, but doesn’t seem to want to interact with anyone yet. she looks annoyed, her tail flicking back and forth.
jinglenose / deputy / 36 m / tags: fishleap tidalclan
the deputy had sat still for too long, and was now searching for someone to talk to. spotting a slightly familiar face, he started to walk over to fishleap, another deputy he had talked to before. the tom was soon near enough to speak and mewed, “hello.” to the other tom.
glimpsebark / med cat / 34 m / tags: open
“have fun, wispwillow!” glimpsebark mewed to the other molly— she had become fond of wispwillow over the moons she had known the blind cat. wispwillow nodded, a solemn smile on her face as she slipped into the crowd. glimpsebark sighed and walked away, going towards where the medicine cats met.
wispwillow / warrior / 35 m / tags: civet’s scurry the order of the hyena
a lot of cats have never seen snow, wispwillow thought. “it’s nice— cold and beautiful are the perfect words to describe it.” wispwillow paused, wondering if she should reveal where her clan kept its camps. briarstar would say no, but she could just say a little bit right? it wouldn’t hurt. “it covers the grass and even the trees get covered. the kits love to play with it, and you make things out of it? not sure how to explain it. the kits make things called snow-cats. we actually move camps a lot, depending on the season. in winter we move into the mountain’s caves. and in summer we just kinda go wherever seems good.” wispwillow smiled softly at civet’s scurry.
snowballshine / warrior / 13 m / tags: pinepaw duckclan
“right?!” snowballshine exclaimed, happy that someone expressed her views. the other cats just thought that gatherings were for showing off and making sure that you had a good rep. at least that’s what their mother thought. “I like noise, but yeah, all the cats talking make a lot of it.”
seapaw / app / 12 m / tags: aulandrawhisk cascadeclan
seapaw giggled at aulandrawhisk’s first statement. that was very true, but the apprentice didn’t feel like talking at the moment. seapaw was hoping that this gathering would be her first one as a warrior as well, but she had failed her warrior assessment, sadly.. “snowclan, and older cats do that? I don’t think I’ve noticed.”

ᴠᴀɢᴀʀʏᴄʟᴀɴ
I'm Poppyshade now."
✥ Lotusfall
molly ; warrior ; tags: splitfire
Lotusfall peered over the hill, taking in the many different pelts and scents before taking a tentative step in. She drew in a slow, nervous breath and padded down, looking anxiously for her mate's colorful fur. She wanted to update Splitfire on their daughter, Lilykit, but it had been a while since the two had seen each other, and she hoped that Splitfire would be happy to see her again. Unable to see her yet, Lotusfall took a seat near a large fern bush and waited for IslandClan to arrive.
ᴋʏᴀɴɪᴛᴇ ᴋᴇᴇᴘ
♛ Night of the Stars
molly ; queen ; tags: rookstar
Night of the Stars almost jumped out of her fur at the tom that had actually addressed her- she hadn't expected anyone to approach, and had been too focused on seeming sure of herself. Unfortunately this seemed to give her exactly the opposite results as she had still been nervous and easy to startle, and she inwardly cursed herself for appearing so foolish in front of another leader. After attending a few Gatherings she had learned that most leaders of other Clans carried the "star" suffix, so she knew she was in the presence of a fellow high rank. She cleared her throat and dropped into a gentle bow, low enough to signify her respect but not touching the ground, which would deem her the rank of warrior in the presence of a superior. No, she would make sure that each Clan she interacted with was aware of her leadership, hoping that the prospective respect would help her settle into the role herself. She softened her gaze and Rookstar a small smile. "It's lovely to meet you, Rookstar. I am Night of the Stars, of Kyanite Keep." She offered a quiet chuckle at his mention of not knowing her. "Yes, it's true that Kyanite Keep- and myself- are still quite new to Gatherings. And there are so many cats, it's difficult to address all of the Clans." She took a seat and swept her tail across her paws. "You must be a bit warm- this weather isn't suited for long fur. How was your journey here?"

‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾Moonclan☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙
attending: halfmoon, blizzardstorm, lilybloom, fluttercloud, birdpelt, fairytail, neptunepaw
Halfmoon - leader - 49 moons - female - tags; silverstar [cascadeclan]
Halfmoon returned her companion's smile as she came to settle beside the molly, giving herself a moment to respond as she glanced out ahead of where the two sat, half-heartedly seeking out any of her clan-mates, though Halfmoon knew there was no need to do so. Her clan-mates were more social able than she these days. The thought brought a kinder smile to the molly's face, a flash of recent memories coming to mind of the light hearted teasing she'd received from her mother & some of the wise elders in the clan. Having realised suddenly she was drifting off in thought Halfmoon gave a small shake of her head, as if to rid herself of the clouded thoughts before she came back to focus on Silverstar. "Ah yes, we have been well, just a tad busy, I honestly hadn't put much thought towards the gathering last moon". The leader grew a little sheepish at her confession, hoping it didn't make her sound too much like a new & fumbling leader. "We've been growing in number quite quickly, our nursery at the moment feels like it's overflowing. But I'm grateful for it! And you, Silverstar? Have you been well"? Halfmoon tipped her head ever so slightly towards the molly, finding she truly was curious to hear her companion's answer. Perhaps she did see the silver pelted leader as more of a friend than she'd realised.
Fluttercloud - warrior - 41 moons - female - tags; desdemona (golden kingdom)The warrior lifted her lazing gaze at the sound of approaching paw steps, finding another Molly with striking orange eyes heading towards the collection of pebbles where the warrior currently lay. Fluttercloud dipped her head in greeting as best she could before shifting slightly to make more room suitable for the molly.
”Hello, a pleasure to meet you. Ah not at all, please”. Fluttercloud flicked her tail over the space she’d made.
Birdpelt - hunter - 23 moons - female - tags; woodchuck [celestial beings]Birdpelt couldn’t help but to tilt her head slightly as her newfound companion took a moment to respond, seemingly lost in staring at her, the hunter wondered for a second if she perhaps had said something weirdly.
Fairytail - hunter - 43 moons - female - tags; wildebeest's stampede [order of the hyena]
Unable to hide the fact she felt awkward did little to help the warming of Fairytail's fur as the tom seemed to second guess the ... conversation.. the two were slowly falling into. Oh why did it have to be now that Fairytail clamped up? The hunter's worries slowly began to die down as the tom spoke, the deep tone of his voice helping to soothe Fairytail's anxious nerves and allow her a moment to catch her breath. She lifted her head a little higher as her new companion continued to speak, her own softer smile appearing again at the tom's comforting words as her breathing began to finally even out, even her long fur seemed to soothe itself out as she relaxed. "It really is nice to meet you, Wildebeest's stampede, I'm Fairytail". The hunter noticed how the tom looked towards the other strangers mingling about around them and couldn't help but to release a small amused laugh, though Fairytail was truthfully grateful. "It definitely is a tad more comforting in the quiet, I feel I should still apologise, usually I'm much better." Fairytail's smile turned sheepish as she glanced around the two.
Neptunepaw - warrior-to-be - 10 moons - female - tags; jayfur [hazeclan]
Neptunepaw's gaze steadily followed the larger tom, her pelt laying flat as he lowered to her own height, something that seemed to amuse the young molly as her eyes took on the excited glint mostly found in the eyes of the kits & other to-bes. "Hi, Jayfur, I'm Neptunepaw! And yes! How did you know"? Neptunepaw did little to subdue her curiosity as she stepped a little closer to the advisor, her dark eyes shining as she glanced up at him awaiting a response.

lightclan
coalstar / leader / female / 37 moons / tags; open
determined not to let her nerves get in the way of her time at the gathering, the molly's gaze scanned the area. she was a clan leader, after all, and she needed to present herself as such. with a soft sigh, coalstar turned to approach the small clearing where other leaders had already gathered, chattering among themselves. after a few moments of searching the crowd, her eyes fell upon another leader who didn't seem to be occupied by the others' conversations. the leader approached the other molly, dipping her head in greeting as she spoke. "hello! I can't say that I've seen you around here before. I'm coalstar of lightclan".
stagleap / male / deputy / 35 moons / tags; open after the rest of the clan disappeared from sight, the deputy's attention turned to the rest of his surroundings. although he had been the clan's deputy for quite some time now, he had only attended a couple other gathering prior to this one. he hadn't had many chances to speak to the abundance of other cats who joined these types of gatherings, and while his former conversations had been pleasant, he still knew very little about the other clans. it was important to stay on friendly terms with the other clans, after all, and stagleap had genuinely enjoyed getting to meet the variety of unfamiliar cats that he had come across. stepping through the groups of cats that had already gathered, the tom gazed around in search of someone to converse with.
swancry / medic / female / 26 moons / tags; open
though it had taken her a moment to place who the newcomer was, she quickly recognized him to be cloudynight, the other healer from the gathering a couple moons prior. truth be told, she couldn't help but feel glad to see a familiar face, and a friendly one at that. although their brief conversation had been heavy, to say the least, the molly had genuinely enjoyed the tom's company. hopefully he'd bring better news this gathering. "oh, sure! of course." swancry said with a nod, gesturing towards the empty area beside her.
mallowbrook / warrior / female / 38 moons / tags; open
mallowbrook's ears pricked upon hearing an unfamiliar voice from close by, and she quickly turned her head to face the newcomer. "hello!" she said, dipping her head in greeting. she listened intently as the tom introduced himself, curling her tail neatly around her paws as he spoke. "I'm mallowbrook of lightclan. It's a pleasure to meet you." she greeted lion's shadow with a small smile. she didn't recognize hearing of the tom's clan before, and the clan's name itself sounded a bit strange to her. the molly paused for a moment, remembering the long and tiring journey it had taken to get there. there were bound to be other clans that lived an even further distance from the gathering area, with their territories being so much unlike her own clan's. she couldn't begin to imagine how difficult a day's journey, or even more, might be. "I can't say that I've ever heard of the order of the hyena before. are you from around here?"
sunflicker / warrior / male / 24 moons / tags; opensunflicker trailed behind his clanmates, his ears pricked as he took in his surroundings. while he had been expecting to see a decent amount of other cats, the sheer amount of those who had also attended still managed to catch the tom off-guard. though he still wasn't entirely sure what was happening, he was excited nonetheless. it was his first gathering, after all, and he'd been looking forward to being able to attend one for a while. as the tom drew closer to the crowd, his gaze searched the cats around him, hopeful of finding a friendly face among the crowd.
leafgaze / warrior / female / 22 moons / tags; openleafgaze glanced around at her surroundings as she approached the gathering area, her eyes shining with excitement. though she had been a part of lightclan for quite some time, this was the first time that she'd actually be attending one of the gatherings herself. the young molly had been itching to leave the confinements of lightclan's territory, and the change of scenery was more than welcomed by her. and she'd finally get to meet some cats of the other clans, too! maybe she'd even make a friend during her clan's brief visit. with a wide grin on her face, she rushed forward eagerly, almost tripping over her paws as she weaved through the groups of cats.
