so... intersex pride? whats that all about?
so intersex pride is exactly what it sounds like! but what youre actually wondering is... ok, whats intersex though, right? not to worry!
intersex is an identity part of the LGBTQIA+ umbrella! its what the I stands for between Q and A! so basically, intersex means you were born with a condition where your reproductive organs either A) do not look the same as your average person, or B) do not work the same as your average person. make sense? most fall under the A section, but with recent studies coming out, the B section starts to apply to those with a condition called PCOS, or poly cystic ovarian syndrome.
PCOS is categorized by either large and/or abnormal cysts on your ovaries shown in a scan of sorts, or other body attributes, such as excessive body hair, thickening of the skin, irregular or infrequent menstruals, and more!
now you know a bit more about what intersex is and how it works! but if you wanna learn more about it, i will be adding links below that i think are informative and good to have handy for intersex knowledge!
