Natsumi continued towards Midnight. He raised a hand in greeting, walking closer to her.
“Hey. Kinda quiet out here, don’t you think? Nice night like this, there should be at least one or two of them Shadows out.” He said while his gaze flickered across the forest.
Natsumi nodded, a smile forming on her fair face. "Aya pissed me off, so I came out here looking for action. She always has to be better than everyone else...." Her words were clear, but by the end they were an almost an inaudible mumble.
Midnight turned his head swiftly to the tree where the shadow was hidden. She ignored the movement, partially because she didn't want to give away the advantage, partially because the shadow had shifted positions enough so that it was in her blind spot. She cursed silently while wondering if he'd seen the shadow. She changed her pose nonchalantly while gazing into his eyes trying to convey her thoughts. She was trying to alert him to the shadow, so that they could attack together while keeping the advantage. She only hoped they'd get through...
