ARRIVALS.

- The young apprentice Firestream's patrol picked up calls themselves 'Auto' (short for Autocat) and wished to join PineClan after secretly spying on them these past couple of moons by creeping away from their twoleg whenever it was asleep. The patrol is a bit unsure taking a kittypet in but see promise in their skills for being able to watch them from afar without getting detected. Later that night, Minkstar welcomes the youngster to PineClan as Bistortpaw and appointed Juniperpelt as their mentor.

- Velvetrabbit's litter is celebrated between all of PineClan after the sudden loss of her son Rufousheart, but none are so happy as the family themselves. After her first litter visits their new siblings, Velvetrabbit asks for her eldest daughter, Lemontail, to go to HazeClan and let Inkfire know. It doesn't take long for the warrior to get permission to leave and set out for her stepfather's Clan, the walk to PineClan filled with general excitement and getting to know each other. Velvetrabbit and Inkfire name their triplets together as Firelilykit, Plushkit, and Velveteenkit. After more talking, they both decided that Velveteenkit would be given to Inkfire at three moons old to live with him in HazeClan.

- Asami is a little somber, knowing that yet again another one of kits is going to be raised without a father. Nevertheless, she keeps her newborn daughter close and names her Momo. Once the nursery is given a bit more privacy, her older daughters, Sato and Swampheart creep in to visit while their baby sister is asleep and huddle closer to their mom. Asami feels a little silly in retrospect, why feel bad about being a single mother when the family she has is more than enough?

- Checkerwhisker's family and all of the curious eyes of PineClan were shocked when the young warrior trotted in with three rambunctious kittens at his heels, the triplets resembling the tom a little too closely to ignore. Lilacpounce blinks owlishly as she approaches them, a bit perturbed that her son never mentioned she'd be a grandma. Checkerwhisker at least has the decency to look embarrassed, but he apologizes and introduces his mother to his little ones first; Weevilkit, Leafminerkit, and Aphidkit.

DEPARTURES.

- Phoebewhisker hadn't spoken much to her kits since she left QuickClan seasons ago aside from quick greetings at Gatherings. She wasn't quite sure how to, after she left so abruptly with not a single word. Despite how suddenly she cut her ties to her former Clan, she'd often think of her kits and how they were without her. Sometimes she wondered if any of them would've left with her if she told them she was leaving. It'd been mid-afternoon when she heard the news, gently shaken awake by Eveningfoot who was one of the guards watching over PineClan as the rest of their Clanmates slept. The young warrior informed her that she had two visitors from QuickClan who came to see her and that they were waiting just outside the entrance. Tiredly getting up to her feet, Phoebewhisker thanks Eveningfoot and heads outside, startled awake by seeing her two daughters looking at her, their faces equally grave. Greeting their mother, Mintstem takes a heavy breath and says there's no easy way to say this, but that Phoebewhisker deserves to know, and reveals that Sproutclaw recently passed away. Shell-shocked, Phoebewhisker remains quiet, but eventually responds that she's thankful they told her. The small family exchanges brief conversation before Mintstem and Cherrydawn announce they're needed back in QuickClan and say their goodbyes. After they leave, Phoebewhisker once again goes quiet, alone in her thoughts.

RANK CHANGES.

- Ringlettail and Foxfang's litter reached their sixth moon! The milestone is celebrated among their families, but their grandfather Aspenheart is notably missing from the occasion. Rosefur, his former mate, is both bitter and antsy because his disappearance and is only calmed by Aspenheart's own mother; Skunknose. Ringlettail and Foxfang themselves ensure that their children don't notice anything off and instead make sure all three are impecably groomed and ready. By midnight, Minkstar welcomes them as Bluetpaw, Admiralpaw, and Rosepaw. Their mentors being Asphodelface, Grousetail, and Kingfisherstorm respectively.

- Following her kittens's apprenticeship, Ringlettail returns to full warrior duties. Foxfang is very happy at the thought of hunting side-by-side with her again.

- Checkerwhisker decided to move to the nursery to watch over his kits, but he'll still participate in border and hunting patrols as the kits are fully weaned.

Current Environment (Border/Hunt): With Leaf-fall in full swing, most of the twoleg activity from Greenleaf started dying down. The twolegs that remain, however, are loud and rambunctious and far too curious for their own good. They seem to be setting up more fires than usual due to the cold, but are able to keep at least those under control.

- Poppynose applied +1 dock to Mistflower's scratch; Rosefur then offered the younger warrior to lay beside her in her own medicine den nest. When the younger cat complains of a bellyache, Poppynose is close by to give her +1 juniper berry.

- Weaselstorm is uncharacteristically kind as the senior medicine cat applies +1 burdock root to Asterwhisker's wound and gives her one +1 poppy seed. Penstemonpaw asks why to Shadeleaf under her breath and she explains that her old mentor feels an attachment to the warrior as she's the daughter of Weaselstorm's own mentor - Skunknose.

- Shadeleaf then shooed Penstemonpaw to go and help her brother, nosing the apprentice toward the medicine store before going to check on rest of the warriors who were sent on patrol. Penstemonpaw plucked a fresh bit of +1 hawkweed and then sauntered up to tease the newest warrior of PineClan for having to rest on his first moon, but she falters when she notices the perturbed look on her littermate's face. Laying by his side, Penstemon asks him what's up, and Turkeypelt swallows down the hawkweed before signing that he felt a 'boiling' sensation during this assessment that distracted him. Like a force out there was telling him something was wrong, and the feeling only got hotter when he was around those twolegs and their fires. Worry clouds Turkeypelt's eyes, and Penstemonpaw drapes her long tail around him to comfort him. Her eyes glance at Weaselstorm briefly, wondering if maybe this is something she should bring up...

- Skipperflower takes slow, uncomfortable steps inside the medicine den, loudly complaining of a bellyache while totally unaware of Penstemonpaw and Turkeypelt's dilemma. He blinks, finally taking notice of how grim the two cats look and awkwardly asks if nows a good time. Penstemonpaw too quickly answers that everything's fine and to take a seat while she goes to find +1 mallow leaves for him before retreating to the herb store, leaving the toms alone.

- Shadeleaf wonders why so many cats are coming home with bellyaches and tells herself she should ask Ratnose to check their food stores for any rotting prey; hooking +1 parsley in her claw, she goes to help treat Boulderpaw with his stomach problem.

- Shuri smiles to herself as she watches her granddaughter hop to and fro between the den's patients, remembering when Poorwillface did the same as a young cat herself. Penstemonpaw then goes to her grandma, offering +1 ragwort that she graciously takes. The apprentice hovers over her, trying to hide an almost worried look, then lays beside her to nuzzle into her tortoiseshell fur. Shuri jokes that she's not so old that she's fragile and Penstemonpaw only hides herself deeper.

odysseyclan's territory is snowy mountaintops, they are often plagued by blizzards during the worst of leafbare. during newleaf and greenleaf the snow surrounding them will melt, but it will still be chilly most days. except for one week during greenleaf they call "the week of the solstice" or just "solstice". it is a time where prey is abundant and energy is high - it is looked forward to every year. the mountains they dwell in slope down to an often frozen over river - many warriors ice fish, but others stay far away from the ice, even on its coldest days. far, far across is land that has never been explored by the cats of odysseyclan; though in the future they may aim to find a river crossing. they hunt small prey such as hares, birds and mice when they can, though a majority of their prey comes from ice fishing. they send out separate patrols for land and river hunting. their predators consist of mountain lions, foxes, and even the much larger goats that determined warriors occasionally takedown.

the cats of the clan all have thick fur, to prevent themselves from the harsh leafbares. they tend to shed some of their fur during the warmer seasons so they don't overheat, most of it is shed by the week of solstice. odysseyclan cats often come in shades of grey, and occasionally black or white. they are most often tabbies. they tend to be a bit stockier, so their bodies can withstand strong winds and be able to climb craggy walls.

odyssey cats are very proud. they take pride in their skill and the bond within their clan. they speak with a slight accent, and where there's one, there are bound to be others. they don't like to travel alone, and find comfort in their numbers. everyone contributes when possible, including kittens. it's not actually contributing - it's more of a game modeled to seem like they are. it begins to strengthen the bond with the clan that odysseyclan cats value so deeply.

Shiningrock watched his sister, Moondance, limping back to the camp. He trotted up to her, rolling his eyes. "What stupid thing did you do now?"
Moondance scrunched her nose, too annoyed to deal with Shiningrock's rudeness. She attempted to brush past him, looking to Redflame sorting herbs.
He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Don't tell me."
"Why would I want to? You hardly act like a brother anymore, you don't care." She snapped at him, fluffing up her fur.
Redflame scoffed, holding back a laugh. "Looks like you're getting called out there, Shine-boy." He commented.
The white tom glared at the two, turning to leave. "Don't come to me when you're bleeding out then." He added, going to tend to other small injuries.
Moondance sighed, looking towards Redflame. "I'm sorry you had to hear us argue..." She apologized.
The orange tom shook his head. "No worries. All he does is brood all day, I don't know his issue."
She limped over to the other healer, tired of worrying about her brother already.

Bluebellsong held back a sigh as she nursed her kits. She thought about how with her first litter, Aspenfur was never too far away. He was always talking to the kits and telling them stories. Mistpaw always loved his stories. She thought of the two them together, holding back crying. She looked at her smallest kit, Aspenkit. She looked at his deep green eyes, thinking that perhaps that her loving mate was living again through those eyes.
"Mom! I can watch the kits for you, if you want." Moondance offered, limping into the nursery.
Bluebellsong stayed quiet, nodding. Moondance nuzzled her with a small smile. "You know we're all here for you, mom. Sagepounce and Featherstream are just a call away too. We understand, we all lost him too."
Bluebellsong stopped for a moment, tears flooding her eyes. "When did you get all grown up, dear?" She nuzzled her back, her tears soaking in her daughter's fur.
"You promise to ask for help more?" She pushed.
"Yes, dear. I love you and your siblings so much, you're all my life."
Moondance curled up to her mother, smiling. "I love you too, mom."
"Can you just stay here with me? I don't want to be too far from them."
"Of course I can." The two curled up with the small, sleeping kits to enjoy some peace together.
