Suggestion: Re releasing items on the 18th

I support this! I think something like this didn't used to be possible, but from what I understand, certain changes were made to how items work to allow the Item Pound to work. I am hopeful that those same tweaks would make steps towards permitting a re-release of old items, too. ^^

-snip- Another thought to the topic is the fact that it wouldn’t need to be the 18th, maybe a separate day to fully appreciate items by themselves would be a wonderful idea. Some users might overlook the box otherwise as they are only specifically waiting for the pets to be released and focusing on that

I'm glad someone added this, too. I feel a similar way - I'd love items to get their own day for their own attention. ^^

Support! Since there’s no way of knowing an item’s rarity, very old items and hard to get items (e.g. token items/banner items) that were only released in small amounts would be given out instead (so not all the old items, as the confetti item is really easy to get, and was released twice in huge amounts, as well as a few others). Items are really hard to obtain (even really common ones), except from the L&F, so it would help to boost trading for them!
I also agree with belle, about having a separate release date for items! I never even thought of that!

support! as a newer player (just really got into this game earlier in january 2021) and item lover, i'd love this and others would too. i personally know how to value items, but they're still really hard to get as people either don't trade items at all, only trade doubles (which the older more valuable items no one would have a double of), or because of how few there are going around and their age they are just really rare and harder to afford especially for newer people or people who just don't have very valuable things. i've even found that items demand plays a part sometimes. (usually in nature items, plushies, halloween, more high demand items everyone wants) i have so many dressup ideas that i just don't have the specific items for. i went on a hunt for a 2011 nature item released from easter and no one would accept my offers, as much as it was so hard to find someone who actually had it. (i offered 2-4 2011 uncommons) i only got the item i was looking for after paying a 2010 rare + old uncommons and C$.

i'd love another way to get some good items i'm wanting and some of the older ones back in the trading system, so again, this has my full support.
