"RUN!!" Icefeather screeched as they all ran at full speed back to camp.

The badger followed them for a while, but then lost interest... but it still knew where the camp was.

" We must report that evil thing to LeafStar! Its a stupid piece of evil Fox Dung " WhiteFoot panted. " Im glad we got away, we could have battled him, but we would be mouse brained to do that " He said, still panting from the running.

A border patrol was just about to leave (Sandfur, Shadowclaw, Amberstripe and Angelwing)
"Stop!" Leafstar called to the patrol
"Urgent clan meeting! There is a badger on our territory! Be aware! If you scent it anywhere near camp, come back straight away. We all know how deadly badgers can be..." She trails off, caught in a wave of sadness over close friends being slain by badgers

" We have to drive it out somehow " WhiteFoot told LeafStar.

"I know! I could go and chase it out! I was once abducted by my people and taken to a V.E.T. - they measured me there and said something like I was the size of a wolf! I could scare it no problem!"

Socks leaves the camp without waiting for an answer. She charges through the forest after the reek of badger. She sees the badger and barks at it. Eventually she herds it over the Forbidden-Thunderpath and into Shadowclan territory.

"We have a new apprentice! I will mentor Spiderpaw. I hope that she will be the strong Warrior that we know she can be. She will start her training at sunhigh tomorrow."


Slightly dazed by all the attention, Spiderpaw walks under the Tall-tree, where she stands beside Leafstar and everyone cheers her.
"Phew, Sandfur, I'm so nervous! What if I mess up in front of Leafstar?" Worried Spiderpaw
