Ice Cream watched as the other deputy strode confidently into the deputy's area with curiosity. The other tom looked to be about his age, with bright orange fur that stood out even among this gathering. Smiling slightly, Ice Cream stepped forward to meet the other deputy.
"Why hello there! I'm Ice Cream, of Cocoaclan! It's lovely to meet you."

Sodapop - He / Him - 16 moons - TAGS: Darry, Ponyboy

The young warrior bounded into the gathering excitedly, leaving the other Cocoaclan cats behind as he peered through the cats for his brothers. They would be so excited to hear he'd found his own clan after they'd gone their own ways looking for homes! He'd missed his bros so much!
His excitement faded a bit as he realized they were early, he knew he was part of the reason as he'd pushed everyone with his own joy, but that didn't quench his spirit in the slightest. Instead, he found a small vantage point and started to spin slowly, ready to greet his bros as soon as they entered the gathering!

Croissant - She/Her - 49 moons - OPEN: Warriors

Peeking back at her apprentice, Croissant smiled. She'd requested this trip to give him a fun adventure out of the clan, though Snoball had decided to stay home this time. Croissant didn't mind much, rather looking forward to how happy she'd be to see her wife when she got back home. Not paying much attention, she wandered off to relax in a nice sunny patch of grass, where she could watch her apprentice with one eye as she chatted with those who also came to laze in the sun, which was warm and gentle on her skin.

Lambpaw - He / Him - 9 moons - CASCADECLAN: Embikpaw

Lambpaw looked in awe at the other apprentice and smiled shyly. This older apprentice also wanted to hang out with him? That was so cool! His siblings were gonna be super jealous. "Yes! I mean...Yeah, you can hang out with me." He puffed his chest and attempted to look cool. "I'm Lambpaw, from Cocoaclan!"

darry trotted off the Long Path as rufus was waving his tail in farewell. the Lux, vita, had seen them off as Law XIII dictated, but there was no time for goodbyes for darry. he was off to find his brothers. they had split up in hopes of finding better pickings as single cats and not a trio but that didn't stop him from worrying about their well-being. luckily, vita had told him of dreams she's seen and tiberius permitted the pair to attend the upcoming gathering in hopes to hear news.
rufus broke into a canter to catch up. "slow down," he huffed as he readjusted the flowers held in his mouth, "i don't want to lose any petals."
"right, sorry," darry slowed his pace and the two walked alongside underneath the setting sun, "i'm worried about hearing anything about ponyboy and sodapop."
"i thought that was the entire point of our trip," rufus pointed out.
"in fear of bad news," darry said, "but i know i must know either way."

as the moonlight started to light the landscape surrounding them, darry ducked under a thick brush and darted out the other side. rufus protected the two flowers he had picked specifically for darry's brothers and followed. emerging, he saw a few strange cats already mingling about. before he could ask if darry saw anyone familiar, his unofficial boyfriend had taken off at a canter again towards a younger tom. "sodapop!" he heard darry exclaim. "you look well! did you find a nice place to shelter? are you finding enough food? your fur looks kept, that's good."
rufus approached slowly as to not overwhelm the cat. he set the flowers down and laid his tail gently over them, to shield them from sight until he could present them to both brothers at once. "i'm rufus of the Crusade," he introduced, "also darry's beau."

It was simply her way of starting a conversation—after all, she had two brothers, a trickster mentor, and one concerningly mischievous healer as role models, much to her parents' dismay.

Ice Cream chuckled. "Well no, not quite. We're from near a twoleg city, they abandon huge dens they call warehouses and factories sometimes, and our clan picked one that used to do things with Cocoa, like make something called chocolate." Looking around, he nodded at a chocolate-coated cat wandering past. "Chocolate for twolegs is the color of chocolate fur, which is where they get the name, I think. So you're from near the ocean? Tidal Clan, it sounds very ocean-y."

Upon seeing Darry, Sodapop had run forward to greet his older bro fondly. "Darry!! I did! I foundaclan and all the cats have names like me! It's Cocoaclan and there's Pizzastar and Moonpie and Ice Cream and Tealeaf and Englishmuffin and...." (this continued for a good three minutes as he listed every cat in cocoaclan). "We eat good things like pizza and hamburger like we used to find in the big green food boxes!"
Finally noticing the other cat and remembering what he'd said, Sodapop blinked. "Hi! I'm Sodapop! I'm Darry's brother! What's a beau?"

Lambpaw felt himself smile. "Wow! How did you pick Embik after sheep? My parent named me lamb 'cuz they said my skin was as soft and warm as lamb's wool!" The naked apprentice was pleased with this. As uncool as parents were, it was ALWAYS nice to be reminded of how soft and warm his skin was, he bathed with his tongue at least 4 times every day to keep it so.

Rocketpop - He / Him - 18 moons - Keyclan: Starship

Rocketpop slid into the gathering a few hours after his friends, having gathered up the nerve. He was hoping that cute molly he'd seen a few times on patrol would be here. Starship? From the neighboring Clan. They'd exchanged some polite greetings, but hadn't had a real conversation since the last time he'd been at a gathering, when both of them had been apprentices.
He felt nervous, hoping he wouldn't make a bad impression in his attempts to make friends.

We live in a rainforest now and the cascadors have never heard of sheep before, so they call me Embik' instead. I, however, have never seen an embik before, but I don't think others don't really care," he admitted with a laugh.

With Pantherstar and Jayfur both at camp, Starlingflight was tense, afraid he would do or say something wrong while he reperesented HazeClan at this moon's gathering. Pantherstar was resting as she was down to her final life and Jayfur was needing a break from all his hard work. What was he to do. Starlingflight gulped a bit as he padded towards the area that leaders and deputies normal hung out, not sure what he was going to say when he got around the other leaders.

Aldernight's eyes scanned the clearing meticulously, picking apart the weaknesses of every cat he could see. Leaders were usually hard targets; they knew how to carry themselves to look strong—deputies, too. Warriors tended to emit emotion easily whereas apprentices, surprisingly, were hit or miss. The Tempest's gaze settled on an older-looking tom, and he bit back a predatorial smirk when he noticed the feline's throat moving in a gulp-like manner. He'd found this night's target.

The black cat sauntered over casually, dipping his head respectfully at the otherclanner. "Good evening," he greeted. "I am Aldernight, deputy of CascadeClan. And who might you be, esteemed feline?"

one stepped into the clearing, smokefur was walking alongside him. smokefur had been sticking to his side a lot recently, and one suspected it was due to his dislike for badgermask. he glanced over his shoulder at the she-cat who was walking alongside her daughter hornetpaw. he watched as she sent the apprentice off to go chat while she went to find someone to talk to herself. one stayed beside smokefur expecting the medicine cat to stay near him the whole night.

badgermask was not walking among the higher ranks as she had hoped. but hornetpaw insisted on badgermask walking with her into her first gathering, and she just couldn't say no. she looked down at the smaller cat, a tinge of pride filling her as she saw her daughter's yellow eyes wide with curiosity about the gathering. the group came to a halt. "why don't you go find some other apprentices to chat with? i'll be talking with other cats if you need me." hornetpaw excitedly nodded her head and headed off, badgermask watched her disappear into the crowd.

smokefur was keeping a close eye on one. he didn't expect badgermask to do anything to him at the gathering, but he didn't like her talking to him. she was beating him in their little game they were playing, and was succeeding at getting one to trust her. he thought that if he can keep one as far away from her it would remove some of her influence. he sat next to one, not engaging in any conversation but keeping a close eye on badgermask.

hornetpaw weaved in and out of the cats trying to spot one that looked relatively her age. her eyes landed on a cat running around the outskirts of the gathering. curious she bounded towards them. "what are you doing?" she asked, following him at a steady pace.

Upon being approched by a black tom, Starlingflight stiffened. He took a few deep breaths before dipping his head respectfully and speaking. "Hello... I'm Starlingflight, deputy of HazeClan." the brown tabby meowed. After moons of being in the position he figured he get use to it, however that was never the case. He was still always shy and a bit skittish around new faces, unable to fully put on the fake confidence he tried so hard to do.

Having no clue on why he was able to attend the gathering the ginger tabby tom looked around a bit confused. He did however promise Sealshine to look after Linnetpaw, who so eagerly bounced beside him. Squirrelnut chuckled, amused by the young appretnice as he watcher he gaze about in wonderment.

With her mentor back at camp, Linnetpaw had promised to stay close to Squirrelnut. However the tom himself acted like an apprentice as well. She was sure he wasn't all there, but he had a gentle and kind heart. As she gazed about she quickly spotted another cat around her age. Before allowing the ginger tabby tom next to her to respond, Linnetpaw dashed off and introduced herself. "Hi! I'm Linnetpaw of HazeClan." she meowed happily.
