Sirius smiled and wagged his tail. "It's perfect," he woofed quietly, licking Sarian's nose gently. He noticed Ares backing away and glanced with concern at the loner. "Wait, but...what? I'm confused again."

"Don't get your ranking all twisted up in a knot, Sirius. Aren't I just a worthless loner who's plagued your mate for the last 2 hours?"

Ares snapped, and disappeared into the trees although. Fine, if they didn't want his company. Fine, if he had to be a loner again.

"Well," woofed Sirius, utterly speechless. He didn't know what to think.

Ares didn't even stop to pick the herbs he knew would be useful, he was angry at himself and at the world. Why was he destined to be a loner? Why was he destined to never have a mate either? Sirius and the fae had brought out his longing again, seeing what he wanted to have, but couldn't.

Sarian looked after Ares slightly confused. "What does he mean plagued?"She asked herself.

Sarian flicked her tail. She was going to find out. She bounded after Ares and stopped in front of him. "What do you mean my plagued?" She asked softly.
