Paleflight
Male | 63m | Warrior
Location: Camp | Tags: Open
The light peaking into the den burned his eyes as he awoke, causing his fur to bristle with annoyance and a low hiss to escape him. Huffing the grumpy tom got to his feet, glancing around the den for a heartbeat before he padded out of the den. His tail gave a single lash, and he paused just a few steps outside the warrior's den. Glancing around camp, he made note that only a few warriors seemed to be up and about. He blinked at the sight of Boastar and silently wondered where Pineflower was at. Paleflight did hope the she-cat would be assigning patrols soon, as much as he disliked it, he had an apprentice to train. The tom had always hated training apprentices, mostly because it required him to try and care for them.
It was the same with kits, and mates really. He found there was rarely a reason to care or like or want for such things. Though he did fall into that trap on occasion. It was odd to have a son, but he managed well enough, Paleflight just tended to treat the young tom son differently than others. Whether that's a bad thing or not would be up for debate. The tom was pulled out of his musings as he sneezed, once again causing him to huff. He'd gotten a minor cold during the last few days of leaf-bare and he was still getting over it. Maybe I should stop and see Azurestream and Rookpaw.
Sealpaw
Female | 10m | Apprentice
Location: Apprentices Den | Tags: Open
Sealpaw had not bothered to groom her fur before she'd gone to sleep the night before, so due to her tendency to toss and turn during the night, her fur was rather messy. Bits of fur were sticking out at odd angles and there were small bits of moss clinging to her fur. She knew of this before she awoke. The white feline awoke within an instant, going from sleeping to wide awake within heartbeats as she always did. Sealpaw glanced around, then shrugged to herself and began to groom her coat, starting to pick out bits of moss in her fur. I hope that Spiderfang gives me the time to groom myself this morning. She mused as she picked out a large clump of moss off of one hind leg.
Ravenfeather
Female | 32m | Warrior
Location: Abandoned Fox Den | Tags: Open
Never let it be said that Ravenfeather wasn't a complicated cat. While she hated a great many things about her life at this point - she wasn't deputy, Boastar didn't look twice at her, she didn't have an apprentice, her cur of a sister was languishing in the nursery - she was nothing but productive. The black feline hadn't gotten much sleep the night before and had ended up leaving camp to do a bit of hunting a few hours before dawn. She's managed to catch a squirrel, a sparrow, and a rabbit before her paws started to protest. The warrior ended up finding an old abandoned fox den just inside the territory before she passed out. Ravenfeather had thankfully been able to bury her prey inside the den, just to keep the critters from getting at them. Now, she was slowly awaking, yawning and blinking lazily for a few moments, before realizing that she didn't recognize where she was.
Needless to say, it caused a bit of panic. The she-cat felt the fur along her spine rise as she caught the faint scent of a fox, her mind not realizing that the scent was at days - if not a moon - old. Ravenfeather leaped to her paws, tail lashing wildly and hissing. Thankfully her mind quickly caught up with her, as memories of last night trickled back to her and the feline relaxed with a sigh. Slumping over and letting out a sound of relief the she-cat leaned on the wall of the old fox den for a few heartbeats. Shaking her head after a few moments the she-cat got up and started to dig up her kills.
Vixensong
Female | 32m | Queen
Location: Nursery | Tags: Open
It was a normally pleasant dream that had caused Vixensong distress. She'd been in a field, with Larkflight, and a few apprentice-sized kits that looked like a perfect mix of herself and her mate. What caused her distress? The fact that only moments after dream-her had told Larkflight that she was expecting another litter, did the dream take a grotesque course. The flame-colored tabby shuddered and curled her tail around her round belly. Gray eyes flickered around her den. It was her den at this point, she was the only queen within the clan, the last had been Marblepaw's mother, and Marblepaw had been an apprentice for moons before she'd moved to the nursery. With no one to confide in, - she didn't have a close relationship with her sister, she was the only queen and the clan's elders were both toms - She felt that she didn't have anyone to come to with her troublesome dreams. But maybe she was being obtuse. There were others she could go to, friends, other parents, even Azurestream could provide her with some assistance. Sadly at this point the queen wasn't willing to speak to much of anyone about her nightmares just yet.
