But we don't know what the August PPS is actually worth since it was such a random release; we had no baseline to work with. It could very well be worth the same as an ex-list pet, or it could be much more common. That's up for the community to decide. That being said, I could definitely see the gold gacha dog being rare. This release reminds me of the kintsugi litter with the rare broken PPS.

That's why random monthly rare outcomes are so fun - shake things up a little! Render everything we know about rarity useless! uwu

This is true, but I still think that part of why people get so hype over the pets that look a little different (see: stump cat gen helper litter example) is because they are hoping that a similar situation will happen. Even if the pets end up not keeping that hype, it feels like they might be preemptively hoping it will happen and to cash out for it hence the insane autos and boosters that we've seen listed.

Though I admit it's been awhile since I've seen people actually OFFER near as much as what is being asked. Some of the bids are just whoaaa... I didn't even see people offer this much over last years Halloween banner dogs and I feel like those were probably a little harder to get a full collection of than this gold gacha dog considering there were multiple

I hope that once the Golden Gacha pup is fully grown the demand will lower, at least a little bit, due to less tension about what it grows into..
