I'm sorry, I meant to reply to this earlier but this is based on my own opinion mostly so I didn't want to reply just in case someone else actually knows the trend in old animal egg demand. I'll still give my reasoning, to show it's not totally being pulled out of nowhere, but it's still based on reasoning rather than trade evidence.Animal egg 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 = 2011
Animal egg 22, 25, 26, 27, and 28 = 2012
Animal egg 31 and 38 = 2013
Animal egg egg 46 = 2014
Animal Egg 75 = 2018
I'll start with the commonly held value: Items are worth an uncommon from their year. If you do that and use the 2 UC:1 R thing and 2:1 year thing then without accounting for quantity, I'd value the eggs at:
4 '11 R + 1 '14 UC + 1 '18 UC (I simplified it a little), aka 1 '09 R + 1 '14 UC + 1 '18 UC
Without accounting for quantity, the store pet would be overpay if you valued the eggs this way, as 2015 store pets are 2 '09 R
However, this is where my personal opinion comes in entirely (I've seen this opinion a few times but I've also seen AE=UC a lot). I don't value animal eggs at an uncommon of their year, but at a rare. Not only are the eggs popular and really collectible, they're also not handed out for free to everyone. They're banner items, and just as how many banner pets end up rare and/or desired by many, I see no reason not to value them at a rare for both rarity (my best guess at rarity at least) and demand purposes.
In that case, they're underpaying by a little. The eggs would be instead worth twice the amount I listed above, or 2 '09 R + 1 '14 R + 1 '18 R. They'd just have to add a 2014 R and a 2018 R, if you don't account for quantity.
Personally I feel that that's definitely not too much add to ask for in this trade, because they're asking for a large quantity of the eggs and they're already offering most of that value. If you value the eggs at an UC, I'd consider it fair given the quantity. If you value them at a rare each, I personally would ask them to add perhaps another '10-'09 R's worth, to account for both quantity and age of the eggs.
Sorry for the essay, hope this helped somewhat
