I alway thought butterflies had faces like this:
    :-)
I was freaked out as I learnt that they don't actually look like that. But had some elephant-like trunks.

    ----

I also once dreamt that we had a volcano in our backyard and I believed that this really happened.
Like I literally jumped from furniture to furniture because it exploded. But I was SO convinced that this was a real memorie
and we really had a volcano in our backyard.

    ----

I also was convinced that when you get married you automatically get pregnant.
So I never wanted to get married.

Since I was five, I firmly believed in the fact that I could shapeshift. It took a while, until I was 10(?) for me to realise that I was not, in fact, a shapeshifter.

A real bummer, really…

pretty sure i used to think teachers slept at school... i was always looking around corners wondering where would be the most comfy spot for a nap. though that was partly for myself too... gotta find a nice grassy spot or a spot with minimal dust inside yknow

I seriously thought "Fighted" was a word in like the 1st grade and I was trying to convince my teacher so much that it was. I'd be all like "The cat fighted the dog" and she's like no child, fought.

I'd look at her like she was crazy haha

I held that belief until I started getting into reading more, mostly fantasy books but oh boy I felt like an idiot lol

misunderstood a elementary school textbook and thought that the guy who invented the colored photograph actually just invented colors in general, and the world was black & white before then...

this ones not too crazy, but i was convinced that animals could talk. especially my pets.

i also believed that there was an actual freddy fazbears pizzeria location when i was younger. i'd find videos where they would debunk everything and still yet i was so convinced man.

I still like to believe this

I used to think that clouds that were shaped like Pokemon were the Pokemon acting as guardians for me like guardian angels, it all started when I saw a giant cloud shaped like reshiram.

that people could hear my thoughts if they were close enough to me.

i had a really bad fear of sleeping alone when i was younger so my mom would lay in bed with me until i fell asleep and id always ask her "did you hear anything?" except id have to do it twice because of my ocd lmao. needless to say it got pretty annoying.

When I had my very first thunder storm, and it wasn't light either, tv turned to static, lights went out. I thought the sky shattered and there would be "pieces" of the glass sky on the ground, and I held that belief until I went out the next morning.
