Long ago 6 clans lived happily. DeepClan, RainClan, StormClan, SunClan, SaltClan And RoseThornClan. All was peaceful for many many moons until prey grew scarce. Many cats where lost to it, but the RoseThornClan cats. The other 5 clans plotted against RoseThornClan due to them having the largest territory and the prey seemed plentiful there. They where attacked and driven from their home. Lead by a huge black tom named FallenStar they traveled far away from the home they knew. Many losses and hardships later they found a castle ruin forgotten by two legs. It was covered in vines, moss and thorns. Fallenstar decided it would be a perfect home for his clan and he was right. Many moons have passed since then and RoseThornClan have grown and are healthy. But even RoseThornClan has their problems. Loners have made home close to the territory border and are taking prey from the clan. Will they fight these loners or welcome them into their clan?

The Layout

The camp

The leader's den in the king's bedroom, hidden behind vines. It's roomy and dark for the most part, except for some sun that seeps in from broken ruins.


The warriors den and apprentice den share the old mess hall. Now overgrown with moss, vines and thorns. The warriors den is closest to the door, while the apprentice den is further back.
The nursery and Elder's den is in the old throne room. Covered heavily with moss and soft feathers. They built up a big den in the middle with vines and twigs for the kits and one further back for the elders who can bask on the throne in the warm sun.



The medicine den is in the old kitchen, protected by moss, twigs and vines. The den is connected to a hole in the wall that leads into the throne room for easy access if need be. A small brook has made its way through the kitchen now which helps clean wounds and fresh water.


The meeting place is under the old king's balcony. The clan gather at the bottom as the leader speaks from above.


The Territory


The woods surround the castle. It's dance and full of prey. Oak, pine, maple and many other trees make up the beautiful forest.


The beach to the north is huge and untouched by two legs. Sometimes the clan can find rare prey in the tide pools like lobster, crab or rare fish.


The meadow to the south is a good place to train and catch rabbits when they come out to nibble on the plants.

The stream to the east great for fresh water and catching fish or just basking in the warm sun.


The cave to the west is good for shelter if a storm hits. It's well hidden and big enough for a few cats to fit into.

ThornStar/Tom/Leader/Open

ThornStar padded out of his den and shook out his ginger coat. He padded to the fresh kill pile a pulled out a rabbit. Taking it over to his den he sat outside and tucked into his meal. He looked around camp, licking his lips as he did so. The clan had seen many peaceful moons but with these loners moving in next door he wasn't sure what to think. He would need to appoint a new deputy soon.


ShadeStorm/Tom/Warrior/Open

ShadeStorm was already up and moving. He had went out hunting and had caught a few mice, voles and a plump rabbit. Setting them on the pile he picked a sparrow for himself. He sat outside the Warrior's den and tucked right in. He purred softly as SheriFall's tail brushed his shoulder as she padded by.


SheriFall/She cat/Warrior/Open

SheriFall woke up and sat up. She gave her chest a few licks before stretching and shaking out her coat. She padded out of the Warrior's den, running her tail over Shadestorm's shoulder as she passed, smiling when she heard his purr. She picked up a mouse from the pile and sat off in a sunny corner, tucking right in.


Gingerflame/Tom/Warrior/Splashstrike

Gingerflame sat beside Splashstrike as they shared a fish together. Once finished they settled in, sharing tongues in the warm sun, close to the camp entrance.

Maple/She cat/Loner/Open

Maple slipped out from her small den beneath the roots of a maple tree as shook her coat of dust and leaves. She smiled to herself and padded off to the stream for a drink and to hunt, humming a happy little tune.


Raven/Tom/Loner/Open

Raven padded out of his cave like den and stretched, his sharp claws digging into the soft dirt. He looked around and spotted a rabbit close by, nibbling on some alfalfa. He crouched low and stalked forward, stopping each time the rabbit looked up. He soon pounced, the rabbit giving a startled squeak before he sunk his fangs in. He carried his prey back to his den, tucking in to eat right outside it.



Stormkit/Tom/Kit/Open

Stormkit sat at the entrance to the nursery, watching the clan wake up. He sighed softly, moving to lay in a small patch of sun close by. He curled up and smiled to himself as the sun warmed his tiny body.


Frozenpaw/She cat/Appreciate/Open

Frozenpaw sat outside the Apprentice den. She had already eaten a vole and was waiting for her mentor to come get her. She was nervous to start but kept her emotions hidden.


Sage/She cat/Loner/Open

Sage was up early and out hunting. She already caught a Robin but she wanted a few more just in case. She stopped and tasted the air for any sents. She smelled a mouse nest nearby and snuck up on it. She caught 3 nice and was happy with her catch. She brought her prey back to her little beach den and tucked into her robin.


RoseThorn/Tom/Loner/Open

RoseThorn slipped out of his oak tree den. He stretched and shook out his coat before padding to the stream. He took a long drink before he spotted a fish. He waited until it got close before striking, tossing it to shore and killing it. He soon finished his meal and cleaned his coat before taking off, running elegantly through the forest he called home.

Night stalked a shrew as it scurried out of a bush. Night jumped and snapped the shrew's neck. Night picked up his meal and scurried under a bush to eat it. He ate under bushes to prevent bigger pretators from taking his kill.

Lilywhisper looked around trying to find her apprentice, Flutterpaw. Lilywhisper padded around camp, still not spotting the apprentice.

Cranepaw woke up with a little yawn. Cranepaw got to his paws and padded to the entrance of the medicine cat den. He watched the birds fly by and the trees rustling. Cranepaw enjoyed the morning breeze.

Koilake was relaxing under a tree. She flicked her tail and yawned. Koilake was watching everyone else rise. Koilake was waiting for her friend Mistnose to wake.

indentationYawning softly as he awoke, Darknettle glanced around the warrior's den, sighing softly before the lean tom stood and padded out of the den. Flinching back as the sunlight burned his eyes, the tom sighed but shook his head and turned his gaze downward before green eyes flickered around camp searching out his apprentice. Quickly spotting the she-cat, he sighed but dipped his head in a silent greeting after padding over. "I do hope you've eaten, Frozenpaw. " He started, "I'm going to go get us assigned to a patrol, if you haven't eaten already, I'd do it quickly." Darknettle mewed before turning away to pad swiftly towards Thornstar; the clan's leader.
indentationThe tom's ears flattened for a moment before righting themselves as he came to a stop in front of the younger tom. "Good morning Thornstar," He greeted softly, "Is there anything that I can do for you before I take Frozenpaw and a few others out on a patrol?" The tom asked, once more glancing over camp before his eyes came to rest on the ginger tom.

The night before was one such night that she'd left, but with her bad sight she'd couldn't tell time very well, so she was just padding back into camp. The elderly she-cat paused at the sight of so many cats and cursed under her breath. Shaking her head, the elder padded towards the prey pile - following the orders of her rumbling stomach - and picked out a juicy hare. Hmm, Maybe I could share this with Mistnose? She paused then shook her head, He's probably busy. Best find Woolytangle. Hazeshade thought as she padded back to the elder's den, intent or searching for the older tom.

indentationHunting was probably one of Jay's favorite things to do, the tom found it relaxing for so odd reason. It was a beautiful day out, so he figured that maybe just maybe, that today would be a good day to stock up on prey so he didn't have to go hunting for at least a few days. And maybe to get his mind off things. Rumbling thoughtfully, the tom paused at the border of what he knew to be clan territory. The thought of the clan gave him the hebe-jebes, but he often got over that by catching a few mice within their territory. A shiver ran down his spine as he carefully stepped over the border, a growling purr rumbling in his chest.

Without even casting a glance behind her to confirm Cranepaw's whereabouts, Paintedwind shook out her pelt, pausing her sorting through the herbs. "Cranepaw, we're running low on poppy seeds and most of our marigold has wilted beyond use. Why don't you go with a warrior to find some more?"

The wannabe deputy padded over to a huddle of warriors consisting of Liontrot, Otterflip, and Hollowcliff, clearing his throat to get their attention. "Otterflip, take Liontrot and Hollowcliff on a border patrol, and be careful around those loners."

Liontrot rolled her eyes. Despite being laid back, she had no patience for Shrewchaser. However, she kept her mouth shut.

The older tom nodded, heaving himself to his paws and discarding the remains of his sparrow. He looked at the two she cats as if waiting for them to be ready.

The elder, fur matted, scratched at his ear, perking up a bit when Hazelshade approached him. Despite being grumpy, he'd grown fond of his denmates. "I'm not your last choice, I hope?" he rasped.

Juniperpaw sat outside the apprentice den, beaming as she waited for her mentor. She could hardly hold still!

Flutterpaw had long since wandered from camp and into the surrounding woods. His ears stood, alert, and he cast his head around for any scent that reminded him of his family members. It had been moons since they'd disappeared without a trace, but he wasn't going to give up just yet.

Mistnose stretched his front legs before walking out of the old messy hall that was warriors and apprentice den, looking around with his blue eyes he could notice that not many cats are awake and most of them are eating or waiting for their duties. The grey tom was not very hungry right now, so he could wait to eat something later in the day, but he still trotted to the fresh-kill pile and analyzed carefully what to choose, he was going to get something for his mother and his friend Koilake since both of them are elders, and they needed to eat first since probably the queens would get something for the queens.
He saw the elderly white-brown she-cat picking a rabbit before leaving to the elder's den, a small worried smile came into his face, he knew that his mother was not fragile but with her age and failing sight he was worried with her sneaking out of the clan at night, even more since the news of loners in the territory.
A small silent sigh left his lips as he picked a big mouse and looked around again until he found what he was looking for, walking with the mouse in his mouth he went to the tree which Koilake rested, nodding in greeting he dropped the mouse in her paws.
