There NEEDS to be a way to turn off the april fool's joke. I mean ENTIRELY- not just changing to a completely different theme to *only* disable the banner part- I mean ALL of it. I literally cannot go to my pet pages right now and even scrolling the board is stressing me out beyond belief.
I am autistic and have non-epileptic seizures. This has already nearly triggered several seizures in me, and is about to cause me a full-blown meltdown- on TOP of making me stressed, nauseous, and dizzy. This isn't okay. None of it is okay. I don't want to lose an entire day of egg hunting and being able to actually USE the site, DURING AN EVENT, just because it's qUiRkY for April Fool's day.
The only thing I can "turn off" is the banner, and that's by changing to an entirely different site theme. Nothing else gets turned off.

Huh. I had a seizure last night as well. My first one in a while. And it was shortly after egg hunting. I too have autism.

I can only suggest avoiding anything for now and only refresh a neutral site (like the CS time) for banners, although that still doesn't take the top banner away.

I can't use the trade boards or any other part of the dang site until rollover. I had to avoid it all of last night because of this, and I can't do anything today. This prank isn't "harmless" it's literally forcing a ton of people off of the site for an entire day.
And I shouldn't have to change the entire site theme just to be able to look at *some* of the pages.

please be patient, its just one day. :( things will be back to normal in about 5 hours!

Here I thought this was just a 'me' problem. Honestly feels kind of reassuring to not be alone on this.
I was using the Halloween layout prior to this and got pretty used to the dulled colors (soothing), so when April rolled around and suddenly bright colors AND upside down I got very overloaded. Though I think the site's normal colors are more of a struggle for me than the upside down prank.
Honestly, I think a helpful addition (something that maybe could be used alongside future events) is like something of a 'dark mode' for the site or at least an option for a normal version of the site with the colors dulled a bit. At least in my case that would help with the overload.
It's like, I want to be involved and play with the pranked site, but the bright colors alongside the prank make it difficult.

Not sure if this might help some, but since I hate bright colours myself I found a way to dull the colours on sites that don't have dark mode around a year ago. There's this Google Chrome extension called "Night Shift" (purple icon), and you can make a site as dark as you wish! Hopefully it might help someone in general. It might not be dark mode but better than bright.

Accessibility help: you can change your board style here to remove the header: Forum/ucp.php?i=165 and you can also disable signatures and images in posts here: Forum/ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=view . The pet flipping does not affect viewing trades, the text in normal posts people might need for commissions or similar, or the ability to collect tokens because you can view pages such as the time page: time.php to collect them.!

These guys have rightly had a lot of praise today, and I'm also absolutely in love!! It's so incredible to see the autistic acceptance symbol first thing this month <3
