Russetfang blinked at Magpiecreek, then frowned, glancing around camp, now noticing her son and his mentor still hadn't returned. "Hmm. Really? Well, I know they were training late, it's most likely that Graypool lost track of time and is heading back now. But since I'm forming a dusk patrol anyways, we can look for them as we go." She nodded at the medicine cat apprentice. "It's a bit unusual, but if you're concerned, you're welcome to come on patrol. Magpiecreek, Softstar, would you like to come as well?" She glanced over at her apprentice, considering asking him along, but decided against it. I've worked him plenty hard enough already today.

Willowing gazed at Russetfang, a thankful gleam in her eyes. "Thank you. Hopefully my feelings are wrong..." And she whispered, "May Starclan bring them back safe..."

xxxx magpiecreek yawned, tired. “I’d like to go, thank you.” the warrior was tried, but thought that she should go out anyways. magpiecreek felt like she should help, even if there was no need too. the she-cat’s gaze slid over to softstar, wondering if her mate would come as well. she hoped that russetfang was right, that they only had lost track of time and were heading back right now. but willowwing had an off feeling about this, and so did magpiecreek. besides, it’s best to trust a medicine cat’s judgement.

"Oh! It was great! We went hunting first and I caught a squirrel!" his tail flicked proudly. Then we practiced my fighting skills. She taught me how to accurately preform a move..I can't remember what its called though. Basically you swipe a claw over the opponents shoulder, then roll away. As they turn to attack back, you can stand up quickly and attack there face! Apparently the face bleeds a lot so its very effective!" he described blankly, not really caring if the kit was listening.
"Isn't that cool?" he seemed to yip.

Willowing walked around, impatiently waiting to go. Something was terribly wrong. She didn't know what but...she knew it was bad. "Starclan, please help...I don't know what to do!"

xxxx magpiecreek was watching her kit talk to the apprentice, stingpaw. she couldn’t hear them, and was oblivious to the fact that stingpaw was telling cranekit about a battle move and talking about blood. she smiled in the two’s direction before turning around to a impatient medicine cat apprentice. magpiecreek blinked at the cat when she started to talk to herself - or starclan. probably starclan. she glanced at russetfang, then to softstar and all the cats who were out at the moment.

The deputy frowned as she watched the medicine cat apprentice pace, her concern beginning to grow. At first, she'd thought they were just worrying, and she wasn't particularly concerned; Graypool was young, yes, but she was eager to prove herself, and Russetfang trusted her son not to go along with any undue risks, like going too close to the borders of other clans without need. But Willowwing was becoming more and more agitated, despite the two only being gone for a relatively short time. She's acting very strangely... what if Starclan is trying to tell her something is wrong...? That would mean Beepaw could be in trouble right now!

Softstar seemed lost in thought, as she was looking off into the distance and hadn't replied, so the deputy turned to Magpiecreek and the medicine cat apprentice. "Let's go. The three of us will suffice. Willowwing... have you received a sign, or is this just a feeling? If it's a feeling... I dearly hope you're wrong." She sighed, tail twitching, the apprentice's agitation beginning to affect her as well, then headed for the camp exit. "Let's check the outside border first. We can refresh the scent marks and make sure Graypool and Beepaw didn't pass by," she said over her shoulder, moving at an even but brisk pace.

Willowing nodded, ready to get started. "It's a feeling but...it's just- Graypool is my sister and....It feels off. They wouldn't have been gone so long. She's usually more careful. I'm worried." She followed Russetfang, wanting to run.

xxxxmagpiecreek blinked. they were going then, apparently. the two started off before the warrior, and it took her a moment to gain her bearings. she set off at a fast stride until she reached the two. soon enough, the warrior was walking beside the deputy and the medicine cat apprentice. magpiecreek hoped her clanmates were ok.
