He nods and begins to help sort, quickly memorizing the herbs. He sure hoped that he didn’t mess up in front of the medicine cat. He didn’t want to make a fool of himself. He always was interested in medicine cat things, but always hated how some of the herbs stung.

Ryekit Looked up fro sorting and said smiling, “Oh hey Softpaw. My mother is talking to Rabbittail last I saw.” He nods and says looking at Softpaw, “I hope you don’t mind. I thought I could do something more productive than sit around and do nothing.”

Hazyfur smiled back and mewed, “I sure hope so, this is my first apprentice, after all!” He looked down at the kitten again and laughed. “Haha, aren’t you only a moon old? You’ll get your mentor in five moons, and I bet you’ll love it! I certainly did! I was able to go out of the camp for the first time ever, and I made fast friends with my mentor.”
He got to his feet, “Do you want to go see the apprentices now, Littlekit? I’m sure they wouldn’t mind us dropping by to visit! Although we better go quick, I’m sure they’ll want to train with their mentors today... oh wait, I am a mentor now...” He looked slightly disappointed. “Oh... You and momma can stop by later on, if you still want to. For now, I have to take Emberpaw to train outside camp.” He trotted away, towards the apprentice’s den.
