Zayd could barely hear Aspen's gentle voice asking where he was leading them over the sudden noise filling the hallway. Most students would be heading home around this time, but Zayd needed extra credit and he assumed Aspen had like, a club or something. They wouldn't be going to those today, though, because Zayd had other plans. "You'll see." He glanced back at her, and took her hand so she wouldn't get lost in the sea of students flowing around them. Her hand was... really soft. Not to mention small. He tried to ignore the thoughts that surfaced in his mind and focused more on getting them out of the building without being spotted by someone who knew where they were supposed to be. They busted through a pair of double doors on one of the more usually quiet wings of the school. Thankfully, the parking lot ahead was completely vacant, save for a few empty cars. The woods he traversed through this morning lined the end of the asphalt. As they made their way outdoors, he released Aspen's hand. "Well, the hard part is over. We can relax now." He commented softly, looking back at the windows of the brick prison. They entered the woods and soon enough, emerged facing a large lake. "We're here, Aspen." He looked at her, beaming.
