family . antonia is due with emperorflock’s kits in 1 moon! jinglenose & scorchcry try for kits. it turns out that the two warriors found are sisters, ellis and wisp, and they know the warrior which briarstar requested, ellis(storm) & minnow(dash) are actually mates. they aren’t ready for kits yet~

- with the sudden death of ravenstone, the clan goes into mourning. lakedusk never realized how much she depended on him before this, spending more and more time with the clans snowreader, littlefuzz.
- thunderkit dares coastkit to spend a night out of the warmth and safety of the nursery. coastkit dies of hypothermia the next day.
- thunderkit retreats into himself, and the whole nursery goes quiet.
- the three new warriors are a bit suspicious, they seem to know bonecall.. and scorchcry. but scorchcry tries to stay away from them.
- the blind warrior soon cheers up the nursery, becoming known to the kits as the illusionist. wispwillow is very good at magic tricks.
- wavecall is called to briarstar’s den, he finds himself in front of bonecall instead, who tries to attack him. but briarstar comes just in time. bonecall is locked up in a cave, being guarded by the clans best warriors.
- wavecall announces to briarstar that he has something to tell her.

“what is it, wavecall?” briarstar meowed, he could tell she was nervous. one of her most trusted warriors had just attacked on of his own, why? was there something about wavecall he knew? or was there something that wavecall knew about bonecall?
wavecall sucked in a breath. “bonecall has attacked me before.” this made briarstar peek her ears up, “I.. I saw him do something. he and two other cats attacked you, briarstar. they took your lives. I’m sorry I didn’t tell before.. I was scared. for pebblesong, for seapaw. I’m still scared. but enough time has passed. I think they killed ravenstone, too, briarstar. that icicle had scratch marks in it. someone was just waiting for it to fall. but.. I think they were aiming for frosteyes. but it hit ravenstone instead.”
briarstar looked like she was thinking, hard. “how can I trust you, wavecall? how do I know that you aren’t with them?” wavecall didn’t know how to answer.
“when I was gone, it was them. those injuries.. they didn’t want me telling. if I came back.. pebblesong and seapaw would have been hurt.” wavecall paused, “I need to check on them.” briarstar frowned.
“I get that your worried for your family, but you’re not going anywhere.” she stopped, “frosteyes! can you get palerose to check on pebblesong and seapaw?” a loud ‘yes’ came from outside the cave-den. as briarstar saw the worry in wavecall’s eyes, she said, “I’m sure that they’re fine, wavecall.”
“it’s.. it’s not that briarstar, it’s palerose.” wavecall was cut off by briarstar.
“how could you! you’re accusing my trusted friend of being a traitor?!” wavecall nodded. “I will not hear of it. we can talk later, but if what you say is true, I must ask something of you.” the warrior’s head titled. “don’t tell anyone. this cannot get out. if someone finds that we have a rebel society, the clan is almost done for. we’ll descend onto chaos.”
