history reedclan's beginning was too far back for any cat to know. only the leader may know if they are told by starclan.
it is not known if this is actually true, as it is pretty much mythological, but its not often thought twice of. if a leader
leaks it to anybody, they could lose be seriously punished with even death or exiled. reedclan started as two Egyptian cats,
both were madly in love. but the female died after getting stuck out in a sand storm. the male was devastated and mourned
his loss for years, refusing to take on a different mate. he found a secret passage way when he was exploring a part of
the desert he hadn't seen yet. when he entered, he made his way through a series of simple tasks that were specifically
made for a cat. when he reached a tomb, it was a body of a mummified cat. he could tell right away, it was his love.
it wasnt a surprise she had a tomb because the village adored and spoiled her. she was treated like a god. as soon as
he touched his nose to the cold bandages around her body, he was able to go into the place where cats go once they
die. he was not dead though. there he met his mate, and once his time with her was over, he woke up. his mate had told
him to move on and not mourn her any longer while he was with her, so the male cat obeyed. he traveled for years in search
of a new home, and ended up living with a group of loners. the band grew and traveled, eventually becoming reedclan.

territory a marsh with lots of pools of water and lakes that lead from a large freshwater lake. their camp is off to the side
of all the water near the forest, rocks are scattered everywhere that form dens (as seen in the left side of the picture).
there is yet a way to communicate with starclan to be found. though this marsh is known for having countless predators
lurking around. cats can catch fish, frogs, shrimp, turtles (they pry the shell off them when eating), birds, marsh rabbits,
snakes, muskrats, otters, marsh deer (takes several cats), and some woodland prey if they decide to hunt in the forest
by camp. however its recommended that cats don't hunt in the forest because thats where the more dangerous predators
lurk. predators include alligators (very common), bald eagle (common), hawks (common), bobcat (uncommon), cougar (rare),
red wolf (very rare), and other large birds and woodland predators.

meaning; a starclan cat visits a medicine cat in a dream. when they tell the clan, they think a white cat is going to be
killed and a cat will find the murderer and kill them. what it actually means is when the snow falls, predators will
become hungry and search and attack cats for prey. there will be more predators this leaf-bare than ever before.

how arranged mates work at the age of 13 moons, a she-cat gets randomly paired up with a tom. if there are no cats to arrange them to, then they will wait till there is someone. they either like their arranged mate or dont. if a cat becomes mates with somebody other than their arranged one, both cats may be exiled because it is an ancient tradition. however, some exceptions can be made. if a cats arranged mate dies, they will be paired up with a new one if possible. medicine cats and elders do not have arranged mates, but elders may choose to keep a close relationship with their mate.

what are senior warriors? senior warriors are cats normally around 60-120 moons (unless picked earlier by the leader). they have tons of experience and are given responsibility over younger warriors. they can set up their own hunting patrols with only a quick confirmation from the leader or deputy, can train more than one apprentice if needed, have more freedom, and have a higher chance of becoming deputy.

it was another restless night, a night full of blossomswipe's cries from the evening she passed. adderstar practically laid in his den wide awake all night, it was hard to get any sleep while the tom was still mourning her death. blossomswipe passed just a few moons before reedclan's previous leader, plumstar was exiled along with brairstep for breaking the tradition of arranged mates and cheating the code they have. feeling his chest tighten, the thought of blossomswipe missing his ceremony from deputy to leader pained him. he could barely enjoy the day himself knowing she wasn't beside him but that he now would lay alone in his den at night after a long day. not only that she missed his ceremony but that she left not only him but their two kits, Thistlehawk and (insert), two warriors he could barely look at now.

with a sigh the tom rolled over and onto his paws, stretching out his aching body before exiting his den. like usual, since his mate's passing, adderstar was out of his den by the time most warriors were up. finally joining them he could see them awaiting his call for patrol. slowly padding up to the bunch around the camp he sat below his den, which was seated on a slight hill nestled in the root system of a fallen tree. taking a glance at who was gathered, then to the kill pile, a big yawn escaped his maw before he spoke. "liongaze, crowpaw, tallflower, ebonypaw and briarlily" he paused after the molly's name, remembering the previous leader and her actions. he wasn't sure why brairlily decided to keep her name, but he also didn't try to hold it against her, its not like she was even born at the time. shaking his head he continued "you lot are to go hunting, were running low on prey this morning since the evening patrol didn't have much luck." nodding off to liongaze "you'll lead." turning his head to the rest of those who waited, "zinnadusk, amberpaw, featherdusk, littlepaw and cinderwing you'll go on a boarder patrol near the streams. if all is well, don't hesitate to catch something." meeting cinderwing's friendly gaze his ears dropped some. she has been there for him through his mate's passing, even though she also had been hit pretty hard. "cinderwing you'll lead, i trust you'll keep the apprintices from getting too curious in the water." attempting to crack a smile, he didn't want cinderwing to get too worried about him.

eaglefoot was already sitting in the camp clearing, awaiting adderstar. he had a feeling that those who were already out and looking awake were usually those to get picked for patrol. while he watched the large tom come from his den, late, he waited but didn't hear his name. mousedung! this must be because of my evening patrol... he thought to himself just before adderstar practically came after him for the evening patrol. its not my fault the weather is getting colder, how was i suppose to know the fields weren't a good spot! eaglefoot huffed. watching the warriors he called for patrol begin to wake up the apprentices he rocked onto his paws and glided over to his father featherdusk. "make sure to catch me a good fish!" he chuckled, licking his fathers shoulder, "but really, maybe if you catch a fish or two adderstar wont single me out like that..." though adderstar didn't single him out, its what it felt like to the tom.

The little feline huffed while he followed the group, following a little behind his mentor Liongaze. Normally he'd prefer to be at the very back of the group trailing last to avoid 'unnecessary eyes' on him, for this task he couldn't because his mentor was tasked to lead the group.

He let out another sigh, glancing at the larger cat infront of him then moving towards Ebonypaw to which he flashed a nervous smile. Moments before he was ecstatic to know that he was assigned with his first ever mission (even though the more appropriate word would be 'task' mission sounded cooler in his mind). Now surrounded by numerous felines, he's back to his shy self again.

The feline grumbled and let out a yawn. She was definitely no morning feline and that's seen on her grumpy face. She should be awake much later during the day granted that she doesn't have anything to do but earlier, a bunch of kits- apprentices she guessed decided it was a good idea to play-fight above her den and cause a lot of noise to which resulted in a grumpy awakening. She hissed loudly and the felines ran away all the more laughing at what they have done

She huffed before standing and stretching once more, exiting her sanctuary and heading towards where the other felines usually gathered during the morning, hopefully to find some familiar faces along her little journey.

Cypresspaw yawned and grinned at the rising sun and the daylight it brought. He loved a refreshing morning, but he especially loves daytime because its a chance to piss and annoy some felines and warriors especially who are hunting, there's also that chance to snag a leg or piece from fresh kills.This is his daily source of entertainment and way of survival.
