Jake nodded and looked around, then the wind shifted and he smelled something, "Wait, is that elk?" He said and dropped into a hunting crouch, in winter his coat offered no camoflauge, so he had to depend on stealth.

"I may be weak but I am fast" Cellestra said. She crouched next to Jake ready to attack and chase it down.

Jake started stalking slowly, after a few minutes it was within sight, He looked at Cellestra as a signal and ran out of the bush, The elk bellowed loudly in surprise and reared on it's hind legs, making Jake unable to go for it's throat without being kicked. The elx turned and started to run, "C'mon!" Jake yelled, running after the elk.
The snow was starting to fall more and the wind was picking up, but Jake didn;t stop running.

Cellestra Jumped and ran after the elk seeing if she could run in front of it to make it stop.

Jake winced as the cold whipped at his face, making it hard to see, the snow was falling heavily now, and He could just see the back of the elk, and Cellestra trying to get around it.

Cellestra almost there breathing heavily "ive almost got it!' she ran faster and faster.

Jake couldn't keep up, his lungs were burning from the cold. He could barely see the elk anymore, there was so much more snow. He pushed his back legs harder, eager to bring this food back to his pack.
The elk saw Cellestra coming up at it's side, it bellowed and skidded to a halt, and started to kick at her, not hitting her but as a warning to back off.
Jake caught up and saw the elk "Go for it's throat!" He called to Cellestra, the elk's back was towards him so he bit on it'a hind leg hard, hearing the bone crunch.

Cellestra coughed and jumped for the throat.

The elk bucked weakly one last time before collapsing, it struggled for a moment before it finally lay still. Jake smiled and looked at Cellestra, "Nice work," he barked loudly, the winds were so loud he could barely here him self. His smile dissapeared as he noticed this was not just another storm, but a blizzard.
He walked over to Cellestra, "We need to take shelter," he said, "stay here, I'll find someplace" he said and walked into the blinding storm. He tried to find someplace that would sheild them during the storm.

Cellestra, scared to death, huddled next to the dead elk waiting for Jake to find shelter.
