CASCADECLAN has arrived!
Attending: Silverstar, Aldernight, Banjaxpaw, Arilwrath, Muntjacpaw, Langsat, Ignitionpaw, Rhizomecinder, Pilferpaw

Silverstar

Silverstar padded through the crowd with a smile on her maw. Her third Gathering as the leader. She could do this, preferably without making a fool of herself like the first two times. "Hello," she greeted some other molly near the leaders' area. "I'm Silverstar of CascadeClan. Who are you?"

Aldernight

He approached the first higher ranking feline he saw who wasn't already involved with other cats. "Aldernight, deputy of CascadeClan," the black-furred feline greeted smoothly using the traditional term for his rank. "And who might you be?"

Banjaxpaw

Banjaxpaw wasn't upset when his mentor disappeared this time. They both had their own views on the purpose of Gatherings, and Aldernight had his own duties with his rank.

Arilwrath

Arilwrath stalked into the crowd with his head held high. He briefly wondered how long it would take before someone dared to approach him, but as time passed, he decided that he should be the one to initiate the conversation. The torpedo walked up to another tom. Unlike him, however, the other feline didn't seem to be enjoying the night. "Do you not want to here?" Arilwrath challenged. "If so, why did you come?"

Muntjacpaw

The apprentice shifted awkwardly. Rude, he thought towards the she-cat. "Er... I just want to socialize, I guess? Which clan are you from?"

Langsat

The older feline watched carefully as her apprentice engaged someone in conversation. How did he do it so easily?

Ignitionpaw

The seeker followed his esteemed efflux into the high rank section if the crowd, breaking away from her when he wanted. At the sight of a snoring feline, his expression morphed into one of amused bemusement. "I've heard of sleeping on the job, but is it really professional?" the tomcat asked after making to poke the stranger awake.

Rhizomecinder

The spate flicked his tail, gladly accepting the offered seat. "A pleasure to meet you, Miragewater. I'm Rhizomecinder of CascadeClan." He inquired somewhat teasingly, "Are there a lot ducks around your clan's territory?"

Pilferpaw

Pilferpaw ran ahead of Rhizomecinder, jaw dropping at the sight and scents. "Woah... I didn't know the stars had so many followers!"

listening with her full attention on clementineflower, the bicolor molly tried to picture the area that she was describing. she could see how the ginger she-cat spoke of her clan's territory so fondly, it sounded like such a beautiful place. at least, from what she was describing. "that sounds like a very pleasant place." coalstar said with a nod, echoing her thoughts. pausing for just a moment, her thoughts shifted to her own clan's territory. as far as she remembered, clementineflower hadn't asked her about it before. "lightclan has a lot of open fields, though there's some patches of forest as well. our camp is well-protected by a cluster of trees, so we don't have to worry about storms causing any damage." the molly said, taking on a pensive expression. fortunately for her, the weather in lightclan's territory had been fairly mild for as long as she could remember. she was glad, harsh weather was just another thing that she'd have to worry about. "there's some greenery, too, and a few streams. it's nothing too special, but it's a nice place to live." she added with a small nod.

the light brown tom nodded slowly as frosteyes spoke. he had heard that about snow, too- that it could be harmful if you stay around it too long or aren't careful enough. the thought of it was a bit unnerving to stagleap, though he decided not to make that known. and while he had a decently thick coat, he wasn't all too sure that he could handle such cold weather. he was more than happy to stay in lightclan's territory. he tilted his head slightly as the conversation shifted to "snowball fights." he vaguely remembered playing mossball with his siblings as a kit, though that was ages ago. he had long since stopped playing them, and had almost forgotten about them completely until frosteyes had brought it up. the tom had, however, heard of snowball before from eggnog, who was one of the newer additions to the clan. he still wasn't quite sure on exactly what they were, but the fluffy molly had spoken of them quite fondly from what he could remember. "huh. how interesting." stagleap said thoughtfully, giving a slow nod of his head. part of him couldn't help but think that it might be fun, actually. maybe a bit painful, getting hit with a ball of icy snow, but still a bit enjoyable.

eyes wide, mistyhaze quickly turned to face whoever had run into her. thankfully, though, the molly was able to recover from her initial surprise within a few moments. pausing for only a few moments, she took a second to calm her nerves. while definitely unexpected, part of her was glad that she had someone to talk to. it wasn't like she wanted to spend the gathering wandering around aimlessly, anyway. the molly had never been too keen on actually going up and introducing herself to someone else, anyway. though she didn't know exactly why, it always made her feel a bit anxious. she paused for a moment, listening intently as the handsome tom introduced himself to her. "oh no, you're fine! I should've been watching where I was going." mistyhaze said with a light chuckle, hoping that it would mask the embarassment she felt. she usually wasn't this on edge, after all, and didn't want to come off as such. "I'm mistyhaze of lightclan." she said, allowing a soft smile to spread across her face.

freckenose listened to romarintuft speak, her eyes widening slightly when he mentioned how long it took for his clan to arrive at the gathering. almost a full days journey? she couldn't imagine. they must live pretty far, then, just like the tom said they did. when romarintuft asked her about how her own clan was doing, she had to take a few moments to think. while her time in lightclan had been pretty short-lived, it was pleasant all the same. the cats there were nice, after all, and there didn't seem to be much conflict either. "things are going pretty well!" the persian molly chirped, a small grin spreading across her face. she had only recently been introduced to clan life as a whole, but she had settled in nicely. she liked that she didn't feel so alone anymore. "I only joined a few moons ago, but it's been peaceful there so far. nobody has gotten hurt or sick, which is good." while frecklenose understood that it was only a matter of time before something happened, she enjoyed the calmness of the past few moons. it gave her a lot of time to reflect on things. and it made it easier to settle into lightclan as well, which she was more than grateful for. "how are things in chessclan?" she asked, curious to hear about romarintuft's clan. in all honesty, chessclan as a whole interested the molly greatly. it seemed unique in its own way which she couldn't help but admire.

the other tom listened intently, nodding along as flaxduck spoke. thankfully for him, it was seldom that it got very hot in lightclan territory. besides a handful of days in the summer when it was too hot, and a couple times in the winter where it was pretty cold, the weather was usually very mild. sunny most of the time, yes, but it usually didn't warm up too much. bearstep couldn't stop himself from letting out a small, amused chuckle when the other tom brought up the topic of ducks again. he really liked ducks, didn't he? but the other tom truly seemed excited talking about ducks, so it would be best to just go along with it. besides, he was more than happy to talk about ducks, too. in all honesty, he was very fond of animals in general. bearstep paused for a moment, trying to remember how many ducks he had seen during his time in lightclan. he hadn't been part of the clan for very long, but that was understanable considering that it was still fairly new. he had seen a few ducks on patrol, though. "we don't have very many ducks, but I've seen a good few of them outside of camp." the dark brown tom said thoughtfully, nodding slowly as he spoke. "I'm guessing that there are a lot of ducks in duckclan, right?" he thought that it would make a lot of sense if there were. after all, there had to be a reason that the clan was called duckclan.

the white molly took note of the tom's brief indecisiveness, though she didn't pay much mind to it. she listened intently as the other medicine cat spoken nodding slowly in agreement. "well, you're not wrong." she said with a light chuckle. cloudynight was right, you never really know what kind of cats you'll meet at these gatherings. whether for better or for worse. in swancry's case, she didn't want to get caught up in an uncomfortable conversation. she wasn't fond of large groups to begin with, and was always hesitant to join these kinds of things. but as her clan's medic, attending the gathering was something she had to do. fortunately, though, cloudynight seemed like a pleasant enough cat to talk to. but that was only judged based off of the brief interaction the two had with one another. she had started to feel more at ease during the conversation, which she felt like was a miracle to begin with. "how has it been in hazeclan, anyway?" she asked with genuine curiosity. a few moments after, though, swancry realized how intrusive the question might have sounded to the tom. while things had been going pretty well in her own clan, she hadn't thought about whether or not the tom could say the same.

eggnog tilted her head slightly, taking on a pensive expression. quite frankly, the young molly had never really paid much attention to lightclan's relationships with other clans. she did know, however, that lightclan had a handful of allies already. as a fairly friendly clan, they tried to keep good relations with the other groups they came across. but so many things had happened in eggnog's life as of late, it was hard to focus on everything that was happening in her clan. and besides, she knew that she wasn't known to have the best attention span. however, the name opal's circus did sound a famliar to her, so maybe she had heard it before after all. coalstar had most likely discussed it with the clan as a whole before. so it would make sense if it turned out that both clans were actually allies with one another. kitty would probably know about it more than her, though. "huh, I think we are." the molly said, her expression brightening. "that would be so cool!" eggnog very much liked the idea of her clan having allies. that would mean that she could visit friends in other clans. how cool would that be?

she placed a paw on his. "you know you don't have to go public, right." She meowed "I don't care if the rest of your clan knows how I feel about you; as long as you do, my heart is content." She subtly licked his nose and let out a small laugh.

"Yes," she laughed "I have a feeling that she's not done, either. I could never, but I'm just praying that the guardian gives us both healthy and happy families."

Once in the deputy area of the gathering, the she-cat couldn't help but pace a little. Her leader was due any moon now and now a majority of the clan was out at a gathering. Moonblossom tried to insist to her they could skip this gathering so that Poppypool and Oreganopaw would be there to assist her if need be. Sadly Mirestar refused insisting they go as to not miss a gathering. Now she was pacing at the gathering worried about her leader. Just then as she was lost in her thoughts she lightly ran into another cat. One she assumed was also a deputy "Oh my Starclan, I'm so sorry. I'm Moonblossom deputy of Sloughclan." she apologized then rambled a little as she introduced herself to the other cat.

The calico shook her head and stifled a laugh as she watched her apprentice wander right into some other apprentices' conversation. Sometimes his study habits truly did amuse her. Padding over the other Medicine Cats she spotted one that appeared to be free for her to talk to. She always enjoyed speaking to other Medicine Cats just to hear about their stories and knowledge. "Hello I'm Poppypool the Medicine Cat of Sloughclan." she said proudly to the brown tabby in front of her.

The slightly older apprentice padded into the gathering not fully paying attention. He was running thru different herbs and their uses in his head. That's when he found himself in front of two other apprentices he looked at the two of them and gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry if I'm intruding on a conversation I wasn't really paying attention." he said to them "I'm Oreganopaw." he said realizing how rude it was for him not to introduce himself.

"It's good to see you too." she attempted to say without purring but in the end, she thinks she failed. As she sat down wrapping her tail around her paws. Ears flicking slightly as to ear any inflections in the tom's voice. As her eyes scanned over him to make note of any injuries. Hiding a sigh of relief when she realized there were no apparent injuries, healed or otherwise. Stifling a laugh as the tom realized his paws were slightly dirty and cleaned them up. After he did there eyes meet each other's his yellow eyes seemed to shine like the stars. So much so she had to hold herself back once more from rushing up toward the tom to cuddling into him. Though she did let herself smile as she looked at him.

Relieved to hear that Chessclan hasn't had any major things happen recently that could harm her sister. Shivering slightly as she left her little bee costume back in the comfort of the clan. Antflare promised her that nothing would happen to them before she left. "Well a wind storm came thru not too long ago. Luckily there were no casualties, but an apprentice was lost for around a moon." she said remembering how frantic Mirestar was during the time. It reminded her a lot of herself when she couldn't find her sister. Chuckling at her sister's comment of their nursery filling up "That is how Sloughclan was several moons ago, now our apprentice den is overflowing." she said to her sister with a smile. Her tail flicked a little after she said that realizing she too wanted kits someday.

Letting out a sigh of relief as the she-cat wasn't upset with him. He took in every aspect of Mistyhaze taking note that she what a rather stunning she-cat. Though clearly at least a few moons older than him "I don't think I've heard of Lightclan before. Is it shrowded in light?" he attempted to joke with her a little. After he said it he was mentally face pawing himself as he realized how stupid it must have sounded.

She couldn't help but chuckle as the other cat let out a yawn. Much like she had tried to hold back just a little bit ago. She was just glad that she wasn't the only cat tired at the gathering. Her mind began to wander to her soft nest back home, but she snapped out of it to ask the tom a question "I don't think I've heard of Cloverclan before, what's it like?".

She let a comforting purr rumble out from deep inside her. Hearing her previous name felt familiar yet foreign to her now. "I've been good but sometimes I still miss being back at Larch's Advance... Not that Sloughclan hasn't been kind to me! Mirestar is a very kind leader and there are plenty of cats that have been willing to show me around." she said attempting to make her new home sound inviting so the older cat wouldn't think they weren't kind to her. Truly they've made transitioning into a new clan amazing for her. Making sure to teach her the ropes of the territory and the history of the clan.

Her green eyes drew him in as he padded up to her bowing his head slightly "Why I never thought I'd meet such a stunning cat at a gathering." he mused to her as they locked eyes. "The name's Cinderhowl by the way." he said with a wink at the end.

The cream apprentice grumbled as he followed his mentor into the gathering. Upset that he insisted so much that 'his' apprentice specifically deserved to come to the gathering. His mentor insisted it was because the more you interact with others the better your reputation will be. Though he didn't know if he meant his own reputation or the clans really. So he did as he was told spotting another apprentice, maybe a moon or two older he went up to them. "Hellow there I'm Viperpaw an apprentice for Sloughclan." he introduced himself to the fellow apprentice.

The small apprentice was following close behind her brother as their clan entered the gathering. Though quickly she lost him in the see of cats. "Stupid tiny legs.." she grumbled under her breath to herself. As she stood up as tall as she good suddenly she was nose to nose with another cat. She squeaked in surprise "Uh Hello?" she said but came out more like a question rather than her actually greeting him. Looking at him she couldn't really tell if he was a warrior or an apprentice. "I'm, uh, Echopaw." she said trying to introduce herself then realized she didn't say her clan "From Sloughclan." she rushed in a mumble at the end.

As the clan padded into the gathering he was aware his sister was behind him. He intended to keep an eye on her that was until he couldn't feel her presence. He whipped around realizing she was no longer behind. Then suddenly another apprentice ran right into his chest letting out a low "Oof!" as they did. Though he was a little upset from getting ran into then slightly ignored by the cat other than them apologizing. He realized she was upset and had been crying "I'm Impalapaw, are you okay?" he asked with genuine concern.

As they entered she rolled her eyes at Eeltooth as he made a comment about her needing to rest more before attending gatherings. "We skipped the last one, so we aren't skipping this one!" she said to him. Walking away toward the group of leaders but she could still feel his presence near her. Sometimes she wondered why she made him her duke. Then again he was like a brother to her so he did it all in good faith. She walked up to a leader who seemed to be standing her own ground "Hello there," she began giving a bow ", I'm The Crowned bluebell Queen of Viridian Court. Though to make it easier you can call me Bluebellcrown." she finished introducing herself. Mentally congratulating herself for such a smooth introduction and that her bow didn't seem to wobble due to her missing leg.

He huffed as she brought up them missing the last gathering. As it mostly was due to him insisting she shouldn't go. Though she responded to him he decided to keep an even closer eye on her this gather. That's how he found himself sitting next to another tom. One he assumed was a 'deputy' as other clans called his role "Hello, I'm The Duke tooth of an eel the Duke to The Crown bluebell Queen of Viridian Court." he murmured to him as he kept an eye on her.

Letting out a huff of air the ginger cat sat down as she watched her clanmates go off to talk to toehr cats. Whereas she picked to have a cat come to her. As she really didn't feel like starting a conversation on her own. Just then her ears perked up as she heard another cat speak right in front of her. Clearly not intending to speak with her tell they turned around. Though she nodded in agreement to what the cat said "That is for sure." she said to the other cat. Remembering how long it seemed to take Baywatcher to realize Eeltooth was pining for him. Now they were expecting kits thanks to a kind loner.

Humming happily at the tom's response she thought for a moment on how to explain Viridian Court. It's something she hasn't ever had to do since all her clanmates understand the habits of the court. "Hmmm... Well, we live in a rather dense forest area. Our current Queen is The Crowned bluebell or Bluebellcrown. She picked to make Eeltooth her duke. Then there's our Prophet Amberpool who thinks he's all that and a deer mouse. Currently, only one cat holds the coveted Margrove position that being Briarwind." she stopped herself as she realized she was rambling. Suddenly realizing that half of that must not make any sense in the mind of someone outside her clan.

"scare kits?" he guessed he didn't know very much about taking care of kits. pinekit was always quiet and kept to himself, staring at him when marchsnow tried talking to him, though he did see him crouching beside his mother a lot. maybe pinekit just didn't like him. he started to worry, so to calm his nerves he said, "the scariest thing in our territory is probably the foxes. i don't know where they keep coming from, but there's a lot of them."

"tons of them! some of them come and go, so sometimes there'll be more or less. the most i've counted are a dozen!" he frowned. "they have to go somewhere. i'm not sure if there's another pond or something where there's more ducks. there has to be, or how'd they disappear and reappear?" he thought about it for a while, then exclaimed, "maybe they're magic!"

"many," he nodded. "though i haven't been to the pond lately, so i've only seen a few. what sort of creatures are in cascadeclan?"

"opal's circus sounds wonderful," he nodded. "duckclan's pretty great too. we live in a flowery meadow, there's a couple ponds... the cats are great! they're all so friendly and kind." he smiled as he thought fondly of the welcoming duckclan warriors. "it's very easy to relax. everyone's so casual with everything."

Amberlight jolted out of her sleep as a cat bumped into her. She jumped up, slightly dazed, fur stood up.

“Hello? Who?! Wha—“ She blinked. A nervous looking cat stood in front of her, spluttering an apology before introducing herself. Amberlight licked her thick fur flat.

Willapool watched Blitzjump in amazement. How could one cat have that much energy? She kneaded the dirt beneath her paws. Just watching him made her feel exhausted.

“I’m... Willa. Pool. Willapool. Nice to meet you. Sorry, I’m a bit nervous.” She ducked her head in embarrassment. “Your clanmate seems excited. I wish I was like that.”

These apprentice's seemed friendly enough. Penguinpaw shook the tension from his pelt. His eyes drifted out of focus for a moment, as if he's seen something behind the two cats. He blinked, and it was gone.

"Hi Fogpaw, hi Palepaw." The young black-and-white cat meowed a gentle greeting. He watched in amusement as Palepaw began rambling excitedly. Golden Kingdom... what a cool name!

"I'm from RyeClan. We live on a farm." He pawed nervously at the dirt. "Thank you, I think I will stick with you two!"

Cowpaw leaned foward to sniff the two cats. She flicked an ear in response to Bramblingpaw's greeting.

"You smell like herbs." She said bluntly. "I'm Cowpaw! Do you know what a cow is? We have heaps in RyeClan territory. They're big, but not scary." Cowpaw rambled, not talking any notice if the other two cats were paying attention or not.

CASCADECLAN has arrived!
Attending: Silverstar, Aldernight, Banjaxpaw, Arilwrath, Muntjacpaw, Langsat, Ignitionpaw, Rhizomecinder, Pilferpaw

Silverstar

Silverstar padded through the crowd with a smile on her maw. Her third Gathering as the leader. She could do this, preferably without making a fool of herself like the first two times. "Hello," she greeted some other molly near the leaders' area. "I'm Silverstar of CascadeClan. Who are you?"

Aldernight

He approached the first higher ranking feline he saw who wasn't already involved with other cats. "Aldernight, deputy of CascadeClan," the black-furred feline greeted smoothly using the traditional term for his rank. "And who might you be?"

Banjaxpaw

"Hello, Viperpaw," the torrent greeted. "I'm Banjaxpaw of the Cascade." He hadn't been planning on speaking with anyone this Gathering, but he didn't mind the company. It would help pass the time. So many leaders, so many reports they had to make... after the first five, the rest of the announcements tended to blend into each other. "How long have you been training for?" the torrent queried.

Arilwrath

Arilwrath stalked into the crowd with his head held high. He briefly wondered how long it would take before someone dared to approach him, but as time passed, he decided that he should be the one to initiate the conversation. The torpedo walked up to another tom. Unlike him, however, the other feline didn't seem to be enjoying the night. "Do you not want to here?" Arilwrath challenged. "If so, why did you come?"

Muntjacpaw

The apprentice shifted awkwardly. Rude, he thought towards the she-cat. "Er... I just want to socialize, I guess? Which clan are you from?"

Langsat

The Ripple watched another medicine cat approach, something within her prickling in irritation. Was it the pride? Must be. "Langsat of the Cascade," the tabby replied. It seemed that the two of them both held floral names. How... unoriginal, especially with them both being healers. "How is your clan holding up?" Langsat asked to boost her appeal—not because she was the conversation-type feline. "No recent disasters, I hope?"

Ignitionpaw

He strode into the crowd with a smirk playing on his maw, pushing into the high rank section of the crowd. "So, who wants to chat?" Ignitionpaw challenged no one in particular.

Rhizomecinder

"We have bats most often," the spate replied, "small weasels, lizards, fish, the occasional porcupine, and too many species of songbirds to name. Snow leopards, sun bears, harpy eagles..." He smiled faintly, fondly. "The Cascade is home to a vast variety of creatures. Enough that we have two branches of hunting, and at least three styles for the most determined apprentices to master." Rhizomecinder asked, "The ducks—do you hunt them?"

Pilferpaw

Pilferpaw ran ahead of Rhizomecinder, jaw dropping at the sight and scents. "Woah... I didn't know the stars had so many followers!"

CHESSCLAN !!

ROOKSTAR

Rookstar dipped his head to the side in confusion. “We see the underside of ÉtoileClan, obviously! The stars are just our ancestors smiling down at us. I always say I can see more stars at Gatherings, and it makes sense. The ancestors of all the Clans are mingling as well,” he meowed, his voice a deep rumble. Being born in a Clan had left his faith in his ancestors unwavering, but he knew some cats didn’t believe the same as he did. “What do you think is up there?” he asked brightly, hoping to lighten the mood before the conversation got all too serious. The Gatherings were supposed to be fun meetings of old and new friends, and he didn’t want to drive Sunlight away by taking the conversation down a route that could make her uncomfortable.

CHASMSTAR

Chasmstar's entire body vibrated as she surged into the Gathering. She had eyes for only one pelt, and she sifted through the mass of cats until she spotted the eyes that made her blood boil. She wouldn't let him get the better of her this time, no she wouldn't. She stalked across the ground until she reached the tom, twisting around to run her thick tail underneath his chin in a greeting. "Hello, darling," she purred, her voice silky smooth yet dripping with all the venom she could muster. "I sure hope this past moon has brought as much misery upon your shoulders as it possibly could," she chirped brightly, as if she hadn't just blatantly insulted and wished harm on another cat. Her eyes were turned up in a wicked smile, and she winked at the tom before sweeping herself in a circle and sitting with her tail wrapped tightly around her paws. With one final action to complete her strange hello, she reached up with a paw and lightly tapped the tom's nose with a kit-like grin.

RICHTERSCREECH

Richterscreech let out a nervous chuckle as the image of Violindapple crashing down the cliffside flashed through his mind, but he visibly swatted the memory away with his paw. "Things were rough for a little bit after a small patrol accident, but we're doing fine now. I'm still on light duty myself, and it's a wonder Wolfwhiskers even allowed me to come tonight," he chuckled, flexing his injured leg experimentally. Patrolling accidents were common among the Clans, but he didn't feel it necessary to share news of the molly's death with another Clan with it so fresh in every cat's mind. "What about SpruceClan? Are things looking better?" he asked, politely dancing around Ramsey's death. He didn't want Ivyblossom to dwell on bad memories, and he felt positively horrible for bringing him up in the first place. He would have to ask Butterflyleap when he returned home if she knew, and then he would curse Wolfwhiskers if she did. His no news policy was going to have to go if it kept him from knowing such a fact.

WOLFWHISKERS

Wolfwhiskers couldn’t shake the feeling of safety that accompanied the sight of Emberspark, and he offered a small smile as he angled his ears towards the edge of the crowd. “Care to get to the side where we can hear each other without shouting?” he asked with a chuckle, the dull roar of voices around him nearly drowning out his own. That was a downside of Gatherings in his opinion, but the sight of Emberspark erased the sour thought from his mind entirely. Wolfwhiskers knew that most medicine cats didn’t let these kinds of thoughts consume them, but he could care less. He’d left Morningwhisper to do his duty as Fou, but he’d been a terrible father until it was too late. This time, with Emberspark, he wouldn’t make the mistake of pushing her away. Even if it never progressed farther than what they currently held, he would be content. Just being able to talk to her and see her was all he needed.

PAPILLONSHIMMER

Papillonshimmer’s eyes widened at the mention of a lost apprentice, and she knew the family and friends of the cat must have been crazy with fear until they were found. “How are things going with Antflare? I wish I could find myself a tom or molly, but nobody’s caught my eye yet,” she sighed dramatically, eyes sparkling with mischief as she brought up the tom Apisbumble had spoken about last time they met. It was true that she wanted to find a cat, but she knew the thought of kits currently terrified her. There were so many horror stories in ChessClan, but logic told Papillonshimmer that there were far more happy stories of new families.

CRÉCERELLEFLIGHT

He could feel the heat in his face and ears as he made eye contact with Morasspounce, but he made no move to hide his blush. “How have things been since I last saw you?” he meowed, hoping to hear any form of good news from her. Yet, he was also prepared to comfort her if her words carried any hint of sadness. Crécerelleflight had never been the best at consoling sad cats, but that didn’t mean he didn’t make an effort. He thought of the many toms and mollies that had broken Soleilstripes’s heart, and he chuckled softly. His brother had been utterly obsessed with finding his “one true love”, even if it meant trying to woo every cat he crossed paths with. Crécerelleflight had tried to advise him against several cats, but Soleilstripes’s adventures had always seemed to end in heartbreak.

ROMARINTUFT

He couldn’t help but chuckle, his eyes widening as he thought of the chaos that was everyday life in ChessClan. “In such a large Clan, no days are ever truly peaceful. Yet, we have had no injuries or accidents in the past moon or two. That in itself is a remarkable thing,” he laughed, not caring to mention that he hadn’t even been in the camp for the past two moons while he was away on his final assessment. Some things of ChessClan were better left hidden, their special assessment one such thing. He shivered slightly as he thought of the snowy mountain pass, but he smiled to chase away the cold. “It’s astounding just how many cats show up at these Gatherings, you know. How do they decide who to bring from LightClan?”

KATTER AV DEN FROSNE ØYA

MOOSESTAR

Moosestar stared at herself in the puddle, quickly grooming her ruffled fur as she scoffed. She wasn't about to attend the Gathering looking like she just rolled out of her nest, that was for sure. Yet, that was the truth of what had happened. She had spent much of the past moon in her nest with Aukkit, Dallkit, and Verglaskit. After the accident which resulted in her losing a life and two of her kits being severely injured, she would take no chances. Fierce motherly protective instincts flooded through her, temporarily distracting her. She spun, narrowly missing another cat with her tail. "I'm sorry," she meowed, noticing the cat was in the leaders area. "I'm Moosestar," she meowed quickly, introducing herself so as not to be rude.

OYSTERSNAP

Oystersnap dipped his head to Atlasrain respectfully before he sat down. “I traveled a long ways,” he meowed, his croaking voice finally smoothing into a soft bass. “And what about you? Did you have to come very far?” he meowed, shuffling his paws against the ground as he hoped he wasn’t being too forward. This was to be one of his last Gatherings, and he wanted to enjoy himself. He knew that once he retired from being Hertuger he would need to stay at camp with the rest of the older cats. Yet, he found himself not wanting to. He resolved to pester Moosestar to allow him to return to Gatherings even after he retired. The long journey may be too much sometimes, but he would be willing to make it other times.

CROOKEDSTRIKE

BELLMELODY & BOGBELLY

Bellmelody grinned as Nutmegdawn and Peppermintcloud acted like an elderly couple, one that had been together for too many moons to count. She hoped to find a love like that someday, but she had to suppress the thoughts of that love being Bogbelly. "I was brought into Frosne as a young kit, so I've essentially grown up there. Same thing goes for Bogbelly," she meowed, answering for the tom who seemed lost in his thoughts. "Huh?" he meowed, blinking in embarrassment as he realized he'd missed a whole conversation point. Bellmelody giggled at the tom's response, and she turned back to the two IceClan cats. "Your territory sounds pretty nice. I could never imagine living somewhere without all the snow and ice," she chuckled, twisting their own words back at them.

DIPPERDUO

”My name’s Dipperduo,” she meowed, sitting down near the molly she had accidentally started a conversation with. She felt slightly awkward to have done this, but it was too late now.

LEMMINGPAW

Lemmingpaw noted the surprise in the molly’s face and voice, and he couldn’t help but chuckle. “Lemmingpaw of Katter av den Frosne Øya,” he meowed, dipping his head to the younger cat in a respectful greeting. His nerves seemed to have evaporated at seeing Echopaw stumble over her words, and he had to stop himself from thanking her. That could be seen as weird, right? Thanking someone for being nervous because it helped you get over your own nerves? Lemmingpaw quickly shook out his pelt and flicked his ears before sitting down. He began to feel sorry that he had snapped at Gingerbreadpaw, and he made a note to apologize to her later. All young apprentices were excitable and didn’t always control themselves, and he couldn’t hold that against Gingerbreadpaw. After all, her naming ceremony was just three sunrises.

GINGERBREADPAW

When Impalapaw asked if she was okay, Gingerbreadpaw sniffled and nodded. She was just as much trying to convince herself as she was him, and she just sighed. “I got a bit too carried away and my denmate snapped at me. I’m just so excited to be here, what with my apprentice ceremony having only been three sunrises ago. It’s so strange that Moosestar chose me to come,” she meowed, spinning in a circle to look at every visible inch of the Gathering. She was in awe at the sheer number of cats, and she shuddered as she realized how easy it would be to get lost. Maybe that was why she had been advised to stay with Lemmingpaw, but it was too late now. He’d been a feather-brain, and Gingerbreadpaw wasn’t going to apologize to his ugly face if she could help it. She suddenly stuck her nose in the air and huffed, her thoughts straying from Lemmingpaw. “Oh, I’m Gingerbreadpaw, by the way,” she added in a hurry. Just like her to forget to introduce herself.

HazeClan

Upon being approached by a slightly smaller molly, Pantherstar respectfully dipped her head to the other leader. "Hello there. I'm Pantherstar of HazeClan. I'm not sure I've ever heard of Viridian Court, but with how large these gatherings are there's a chance we could have been here at one point and never met one another until now. However I will admit I have skipped that past few..." Pantherstar explained.

With Pantherstar chatting up another leader, and the conversation seeming to go smoothly, Starlingflight was able to slightly relax. Noticing the new cat next to him, Starlingflight gave a small nod and smile before introducing himself after the other tom. "I'm Starlingflight of HazeClan. I'm assuming your leader is the one talking to mine?" He asked curiously, his eyes shifting to the two mollies once more.

Jayfur smiled, bowing a bit before speaking. "It's nice to meet you as well. Honestly though young one you remind me so much of my daughters. Thus I couldn't help myself. I always have this knack of wanting to comfort others. It also looked like others where ignoring you. That wouldn't have made a good gathering experience especially with it being your first time." Jayfur meowed respectfully.

Upon hearing the young molly ask him how things where in HazeClan, the fluffy tom frowned for a bit. He recalled the events that had just recently happened, most of all the lives that where lost and being at fault for his brother's parylization. With a heavy sigh Cloudynight looks at his paws as he began to speak, afraid to look Swancry in the eyes. "It...it for a time was not good.... So many lives lost... And now although my brother was to blame.... It is my fault that he remains paralyzed for the rest of his life..." he meowed, his voice just barley above a whisper. It was the first time since the battle of HazeClan that he had talked about it with any cat. Let alone someone he had just met and barley knew.

Before Vaporpaw could respond to Pikapaw another older apprentice joined them, exciting the medicine cat once more. Another new face meant another new potential friend. "It's alright. I'm Vaporpaw." He meowed, smiling brightly at the other tom. "We are just discussing how our training is going." Vaporpaw added, motioning for the other tom to join Pikapaw and him.

Agreeing that it would be best for the pair to move to the edge, Emberspark weaved her way through cats until finding a spot. The ginger and white tabby molly settled under a tree before gesturing with her tail for Wolfwhiskers to join her. "I think this spot should do. Far enough away to where we don't have to shout, but still close enough to the gathering." She purred.

Upon Emberspark meeting up with some cat she seemed to know, Peridotgaze couldn't help but wonder off from Wrenwillow. However upon looking overher shoulder she saw that her clan mate had found some cat to chat with. Feeling a bit better for having left the other molly, Peridotgaze padded onward. Pausing in her tracks a gray tom approached her seeming to lay the charm on thick as he introduced himself as Cinderhowl. Upon seeing the tom wink, Peridotgaze rolled her eyes, a playful smile on her face. "I'm Peridotgaze. This is my first gathering." she explained, completely ignoring the tom's flirtatious comment to see what he would say or do next.

"Thank you..." she meowed, dipping her head a bit as she hid a small smile upon hearing the kind words from the tom. "I'm from IvyClan. Far from here as well, but you never know. My clan has what we call spies that are often out scouting. So there's a chance someone else could be close by..." Turnestonefeather explained, glancing her around and scenting the air. Thus far no other IvyClan cat was near, thus allowing the calcio molly to relax a bit.
