coalstar // female // 30 moons // tags: clementineflower (court of the butterflies)
the black and molly gave a small smile, relieved that clementineflower remembered her. it would have made for a very awkward conversation if she hadn't. she sat by the other molly, listening intently as she spoke about her clan. that was good, they seemed to be doing alright. "not bad at all! we've gotten a few new members, too." she paused on a moment, trying to remember the past moon. lightclan's new members had all been fairly young, but she didn't mind that much. after all, coalstar herself was still a pretty young molly. at least for leader standards, she was. she had caught glimpses of the other leaders before at the gatherings and couldn't help but take note of how much older and more experienced they all looked. part of her almost felt out-of-place, but she knew that she should try to avoid those thoughts. after all, a good leader was confident and didn't second-guess themselves. giving her shoulders a small shake, she brought her attention back to clementineflower. "there hasn't been any sickness for us either, fortunately. and not many injuries." she couldn't help but wonder when someone in the clan would get hurt or sick. it had to happen at some point, and it was a miracle that it hadn't happened yet. but thinking about harm coming to any of her clanmembers wasn't something coalstar liked to think about. and the last thing she wanted to do was dampen the mood with her worries, especially when it had started off pretty cheerfully.
stagleap // male // 27 moons // tags: frostgaze (snowclan)
fortunately for stagleap, the other tom seemed to be warming up a little bit. that was good, he felt a little better talking to him now. he nodded slowly as he listened to frosteyes describe his own clan's territory. in all honesty, he felt a bit dense for asking what snowclan was like. wasn't the name telling enough? but it was the only thing that the tom could think to ask on the spot. nontheless, it sounded so much different than where lightclan was. stagleap didn't even remember the last time he saw snow. and he knew that most of his clan hadn't even seen snow once in their lifetime. "makes sense." the light brown tom said with a small nod. "lightclan has a lot of open fields, but our camp is well-protected." he paused before adding, "it's not half bad, though. the weather's never really that harsh." that was one thing he was especially fond of in lightclan, the lack of bad weather. he liked the cool, calm breeze that seemed to be constantly running through his clan's territory. and he never had to worry much about any oncoming storms, either, and how they would damage the camp. it saved a lot of time and effort that could be used for other things.
mistyhaze // female // 30 moons // tags: metalcry (sloughclan)
while she had anticipated the gathering with excitement before, the molly couldn't help but feel nervous. it was her first time attending this kind of thing and she hadn't expected to see so many others. in all honesty, the whole thing was a bit overwhelming for her. she wasn't a shy cat by any means, but her nerves always got the best of her in these kinds of situations. her sister had spoken of gatherings with such fondness, though, and mistyhaze truly wanted to make the most of it. after all, she was only there for a short time. now was her chance to meet cats from other clans, which had always sparked curiosity in her. the pale gray molly stepped toward the crowd hesitantly, a certain uneasiness washing over her. there were so many others who seemed to be meeting up with old friends already, and she didn't have a clue on what to do or where to go.
frecklenose // 17 moons // tags: romarintuft (chessclan)
frecklenose couldn't help but feel relieved that the other tom didn't seem annoyed at her by any means. she did, however, notice his face fall soon after he had finished speaking. seemingly without much reason, too. cats were strange like that, weren't they? but she wouldn't pry about it. she valued her own privacy greatly, and understood when others decided to keep their thoughts to themselves. in an attempt to cheer him up, though, the molly gave him a small smile. "well, that makes two of us! it's a lot to take in, isn't it?" she said, taking a moment to glance around the gathering once more. it was overwhelming for sure, seeing all of the other cats. she shifted her gaze away, giving a small shake of her head. the molly had to be sure not to pay too much attention to those around her, especially when that was what caused her to lose her focus in the first place. she hadn't even introduced herself yet. she usually wasn't this scatterbrained, it frustrated her. the molly's nerves must be getting the best of her, she supposed. "I'm frecklenose, by the way. and you?" she asked, hoping to make the other cat feel more at ease. she knew all too well the discomfort that worries could bring, after all. that's why she tried her best to avoid those. quite frankly, she didn't have much time for doubts, especially when her mind was usually already occupied with other things.
bearstep // male // 20 moons // tags: flaxduck (duckclan)
bearstep nodded enthusiastically, "yep! it's pretty sunny most of the time, because the territory is so open." he paused, taking a moment to picture the clan's territory in his mind. he liked lightclan territory. after all, it was his home. the wide, open moors were perfect for running across when it came to hunting. he wasn't as successful of a hunter as his clanmates were, since he was not as quick or graceful as they were. he was perfectly fine with that, though. there were still other things he was proud of, after all. "we get some shade in camp, though, and some other parts of the territory. there's even a few streams." while most of his clan's territory was open, the cluster of trees that surrounded camp protected it from much damage. it was definitely good luck for them, bearstep didn't like the idea of being at the mercy of the elements. it made him uncomfortable. while he wouldn't admit it in a million years, storms terrified him. the tom couldn't quite understand why, though.
swancry // female // 19 moons // tags; cloudynight (hazeclan)
swancry couldn't help but feel relieved that the other cat seemed friendly enough. fortnuately, he didn't seem like the overwhelming type either. she didn't know if she could handle talking anyone overenthusiastic right now. with a . she did, however, take note of the fact that the tom introduced himself as his clan's medicine cat. "another medic too, eh?" the molly said, a small smile creeping on her face. she meant it, swancry genuinely enjoyed talking to other medics. it was one thing that she could relate to, anyway. she sat down by the other medicine cat, curling her sleek tail neatly around her paws. at cloudynight's question, the molly paused for a moment. why was she here? the completely honest answer was that she was almost forced to go, but that might be a bit too honest for her to say. it might be best to say something a bit nicer. giving her shoulders a small shrug, the white molly straightened her posture. "well, I'm not entirely sure." she admitted with a small chuckle. hopefully it would mask the discomfort she felt about the gathering as a whole. other cats weren't exactly her thing, after all. after a few moments she added, "just wanted to extend my horizons, I guess. meet some cats, get to know some other clans." it wasn't too far from the truth, swancry truly wanted to learn about the other clans. they were pretty interesting to hear about, at least from her prior experiences.
eggnog // female // 13 moons // tags; kitty (opal's circus)
the fluffy molly beamed at kitty, blushing slightly at the compliment. she was practically brimming with excitement, just as she always was during these kinds of events. however, she tried to tone her excitement down just a little bit. she didn't want to come off as overwhelming. eggnog paused for a moment as she listened to the other molly speak. she took note of the fact that kitty didn't seem to have a clan name, either. even though she knew of other clans that didn't take on 'traditional' clan names, that wasn't the case with her own clan. she was starting to feel a little out of place, but at the same time she liked how unique her name was compared to the rest of her clan. honestly, the whole situation brought mixed feelings from her. "I'm from lightclan!" the molly said enthusiastically, bringing her attention back to the other molly. unfortunately, eggnog was aware of the fact that her attention span was very short sometimes. especially at a gathering of so many other cats, it was hard to focus on just one thing. "what about you?" she asked, tilting her head slightly to one side.
