You follow Fleur into route 1, suddenly, the little seed pokemon pauses, then bursts into a run. "Balba!" Fleur says, as you stumble along a golden pinecone. You wonder why Fleur seems so interested until you see its eyes open and it hops away! This is a Pineco, not a pinecone! "Pine!" It sounds scared, but then a trainer comes along, yelling at the bagworm pokemon. "There you are! Get in the ball, stupid pinecone!" A young trainer says, trying to grab it. The trainer seems to be holding one pokeball, and it seems to be their only one. The Pineco backs into a tree and the trainer puts it in his ball! It clicks, showing it was captured and the boy spins around to see you. "Trainer!" The kid yells. "Let's battle with my newly caught pokemon!" The kid sends out the Pineco, it looks scared and doesn't want to battle. "Pineco! What are you doing! Use tackle!" The kid commands pointing at Fleur. The Pineco doesn't move, clearly not wanting to fight for this kid.

A level 5 shiny Pineco! It won't be safe in this trainer's hands, will you try to rescue it?

Syn jumps a little bit at the sudden appearance of another trainer, and a fairly nasty one at that. He isn't sure how to react to such a situation. The poor pineco looks miserable, which breaks his heart a bit. It honestly takes him a moment to realize that it's not its usual colours. He briefly wonders if that's why the young trainer caught it in the first place...

"Hey, whoa now," Syn tries to calm the irritated trainer a bit. "If you just caught that pokemon, it's probably still hurt. At least give it an oran berry or something!" While he may not have a particular plan to save the pineco, he does know how to stall people pretty well. He just hopes the situation doesn't turn any uglier than it already is. Having to resort to poke-theft isn't really up there on the list of things he wants to do, unless he has to of course...

The Servine looks over to it's buddy, the Heatmor seemed very happy with how the fight turned out and ran over. "Mor mor.." The fire type said, petting Quil's head gently. The Servine looks at Heatmor who shakes their head. "Servine?" The Heatmor was already walking away but Servine stayed. The Servine looked up at you with wide red eyes before pointing at your bag again.

Servine wants to join your team! Unfortunately, Heatmor has lost interest

"alright Muffin, use ember!" Jane takes her opponents type into consideration when choosing her moves. "we're gonna wipe the floor with these weaklings. especially with our new teammate" Jane whispers to Tank. he nods in agreement.

Muffin growls at the Shroomish before opening their mouth and using ember! The Shroomish stumbles backwards. Super effective! The Shroomish stands up. "C'mon Shroomish!" Yells the trainer, Shroomish up jumps up and uses absorb. Glowing green particles fly at Muffin! Muffin steps back and Shroomish looks a little better. "Great job, Shroomish! Next, use tackle!" The trainer says, once again, the Shroomish is moving slowly.

The Shroomish took quite a bit of a hit! But using absorb made it regain health.

The young trainer shakes his head angrily. "I don't want to heal it! I wanna fight!" The kid stomps his foot on the ground. As he points at Fleur again. "Are we fighting or not! Are you scared that I'll win with this super rare pokemon I found?" The Pineco seems ready to run off at any moment. It looks scared, but not hurt. "C'mon! Why won't you fight me already!?"

This trainer really wants to battle!
