Change the POUND system

Would support a change! I have the pound bot, and use it regularly, and still it doesn't help because either the page doesn't load quickly, or someone grabs the rare before me. Happens constantly! And I'm sure it happens to others.

I probably wouldn't support a totally randomized version, but yeah mixing around the pets and getting rid of the dates would probably help, because again, people use scripts to grab the oldest pets now. (Not myself because I don't support that, but I know people who have used them.)

Also like some others have stated, having the timer is frustrating too, because I know PLENTY of members who will be offline for ages, and log on to claim at the pound and do nothing else.

(had a few who I had trades rotting with them, and they would hop on at pound time and grab pets) It's super frustrating!

Also not to be rude to anyone, but notice how mostly older players are saying not to change it, and newbies are saying to change it. Definitely speaks volumes! Newbies aren't getting the help they need from the Pound, and it shows.

I don't get by pound script, what does it do? :0 does it show rarities or automatically grabs a pet for you? (just a question!)

It's like something of a "switch up" the computer/AI adopts for you so it's faster and likely to win.
Best the oldest pet is mostly always the first in line.

Then... It shouldn't be allowed on cs sorry. I see it as cheating and it should be the usual manual clicking and searching. It's really unfair if a bot does it. I don't think it should be allowed. It's unfair for those who don't have it, and having an unauthorized script to get ahead of the system isn't okay in my book.

the pound isn't solely for getting rares, there are plenty of cool VC and commons that I love getting. No support, this just makes it harder to get a pet you want regardless of rarity

i agree with this. the pound isn't only for getting rare pets, the pound is for getting pets in general. if you don't get a rare, there's always next time. i don't support a change. the pound is fine as is. i myself enjoy getting pets even if they're not considered rare. we should be appreciative for the chance to get free pets at all even if they have little value

Using really anything that makes something unfair is cheating and shouldn't be allowed yes it's annoying. Like with ebay and with there bots for auctions. You can bid all you want but you'll be outbid. That's why I don't do auctions no more. Same with the pound. Just isn't fun.

From the one's I've seen, they click the Adopt Me button on the first pet (so the very oldest) on the adopt page, which is like the highest chance to grab a R or VR. (Since old pets are usually R/VR)

It's majorly unfair, especially to new players who really need the rare pets to try and get ahead.

Didn't Nick or Tess make something for scripts to not run when it comes to making a program to count a pet? Can they do something to prevent such scripts from running in the pound?

i feel that the change would also help older members as well so,,

what about a newbie pound? something that users who have been members for around 7 months can only adopt from there instead of the reg pound, an it would open more frequently, plus the pets divided here would be the same chance as the reg pound ? asdjksd then people would create extra accounts to claim pets and trade it to themselves :')

I quite like the system of the pound. It's satisfying to click right on time and get an interesting looking or older pet. I'm also happy when I find a random common that I've never had before or one with a name that just sounds fun/is pre-named for a character I like.

The only thing I could say for a potential change is to have the timer be a live count, such that you don't have to refresh the page for the counter to go down. Then maybe when the counter hits zero, it can be like, "The pound is open, click here!" or something so that you're always right on time. I also don't know how on earth that would be coded, but it's my only idea LOL

I'm always down for layout changes, but I think the actual system of the pound works fairly well in terms of luck of the draw and drive to be 'on time', plus what others have been saying about the random opening times working for those in other time zones.

HONESTLY????? Dude, I’ve had PLENTY of trades rot with people like that only for them to get the pet I was trying to trade them from the pound. They could’ve gotten that pet earlier from me, but they just log on for the pound and that’s it—

no support. people would definitely log on less if the pound was like that and it doesnt matter if people only use cs for the pound and then leave. sorry if this sounds kinda aggressive but it doesnt,, really affect you that much if people do that so i dont see why thatd be an issue anyways. the entire point of the pound is to give people a chance to get a pet they want without having to trade for it or hope they get gifted so a completely random adopt would defeat the purpose of it
