warren's life has always been sort of a rollercoaster. at the age of three, his mother and father myster
iously disappeared after going into work one thursday morning. until the age of eight, warren was rai
sed by his austere sister, until she disappeared, too. warren quickly learned how to fend for himself w
hile alone. this lead warren to become incredibly empathetic and compassionate; however, he could n
ever keep or hold a relationship for fear that everyone would disappear one day like his family. warren
often found himself working odd jobs once he turned fourteen; babysitting, washing dishes, not to me
ntion working for several different crime syndicates in the area to guarantee his own protection. warre
n was approached by the brigadier at age fifteen after accidentally stumbling into something he truth
fully shouldn't have even known about. warren's steadfast and tenacious personality piqued alekall's
interest and he was soon taken in as an apprentice for aion. originally, warren joined aion for a place
to call his own, but soon became fixated on the idea of the failing space time continuum. warrs truly
believed that his parents - and likely his sister - were victims of the collapse, leading him to hyperfo
cus on the world that he couldn't see. warren dedicated his work at aion to finding both his sister and
his parents. warren also quickly took on information provided to him during his work as an apprentice,
and one day, alone in the laboratory, found a way to splice bird genes to create a completely new spec
ies of fowl, one with an olfactory map that could both locate and traverse terrain of both the present
and collapsing spacetime. the bird, aptly named "the endurance," can detect cracks and breaks in the
spacetime continuum within 50 yards as long as there are no strong scents or odors. the endurance
has not proved useful yet; however, warren was promoted from apprentice to scientific advisor with
this discovery, and is currently the youngest on the team. due to his age, warren is often either ove
rlooked or underestimated, so he often works alone within the confines of aion. sometimes warren
is sent out with the field operatives to collect samples and analyze them, but his time is often con
sumed with the endurance, and more importantly, his desire to see his blood family once again.

Milo was born in Galway, Ireland in 1893 to an Irish Catholic
mother and a Protestant father. He got his medical degree at
The Queen's University in Galway. In 1915 he enlisted and
joined the RAMC, ending up in a field hospital in Gallipoli.
After the war, he went back to Ireland. During the Irish War
for Independence, he assisted the IRA due to his experience
with treating gunshot wounds. He's an Irish republican and
Catholic. In 1922 he joined the Irish National Army as a doctor
because he was struggling to find employment elsewhere. In
1923 he got teleported to the future. He appeared 5 years
ago and ended up getting recruited as a medic by Aion. Since
then he's brushed up on modern medical practices and his
experiences as an army doctor have definitely been valuable.
Milo, commonly known just by his surname Bates, is a very
sharp and contemplative man. He's a very quick-thinker and
is good at keeping a clear head during stressful situations,
which is something he learned during the war. He can seem
overly serious and has never been much fun, though some
people have managed to crack his stoic outer shell and have
gotten a smile out of him. Milo is very devoted and will do
anything to protect the people he loves. He's not really a
people person and will often excuse himself to go outside
and smoke if there are too many people around. Underneath
it all, he's kind. He just has a hard time getting close to
people because he's terrified of losing them.
