Hunter Mayhem | Ares | Tagging: Cresolis | Location: Dining Pavilion

Struck a soft spot, bingo. Hunter grinned to himself, putting his hands on his hips. "Maybe I did. Oh come now." He sat down at one of the tables. "Why should we be ashamed of any of the things we inherit from our parents?" He asked, tilting his head to the side, long blond hair cascading over his shoulder, and he had to pause and push it back. "It’s all there for a reason. Maybe I’m snarky, maybe you’re prideful, but it’s not random. In some way or other, we can turn it to our benefit. Doesn’t pride mean confidence in your own ability?"

Cresolis looks up and blinks and says “I guess not. Really I hate to be prideful really. It makes me feel like is should be the center of everything but really what I think is that pride is what leads to ignorance and I don’t want to be ignorant if you know what I mean” she looks up

||Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Stables|Tags: Dahlia, Aggy, Jamie, Aiden, Skylar, Teilo, Ash, Karter|

All too soon, her quiet moment of tranquility was over. Firefly whickered nervously at Ash's approach, backing up from the demigods.
"It's okay, girl," Mirabelle assured her softly, though the mare's ears had gone back and her eyes were wide. Maybe it was best to leave her to calm down for now, she reckoned. The last thing she wanted was to spook the pegasus by crowding her. Instead, she turned to Ash with a friendly expression.
"Certainly! I've just taught some of the others how to tack up; I can show you as well or even help you tack up if you'd like." She offered him a kind smile. Ash's nickname for Teilo gave her pause, however. 'Baby'...? Her brow arched slightly in confusion. Though she disliked using her abilities this way, she reached out with her amokinesis, just to see if there were indeed any romantic feelings between the two. No. Just friends. This served to confound her even more, though she simply shook her head slightly and decided to leave it for later.
Teilo's voice pulled her focus to him as he joined them. Despite herself, she chuckled slightly at his antics, raising a hand to cover her mouth politely. A habit she'd picked up from her many years of braces. Though her braces had been off for over four years now, that habit had never gone away. It was one of the reasons she never showed her teeth when she smiled, either. "If by that, you mean 'baby', then yes," she confirmed. "Pardon me, but you two don't seem like a couple." Humour danced in her grey-blue eyes as she regarded the boys. Karter's presence in the shadows caught her attention momentarily, and she gave him a small nod in acknowledgement before looking back to Ash and Teilo.
"It’s Teilo, right?" she inquired gently. "I don’t think we’ve officially met. I’m Mirabelle." She held out a hand to him in a formal handshake. "Actually - there was something I wanted to ask you." She glanced between Ash and Teilo, chewing the inside of her cheek. "Seeing as you're the driver - or at least, Mr. D said as much - I thought I should ask -" Gods, she was getting all flustered over a simple question. It's not as if you're asking him on a date or anything. Calm down. "I was wondering - um - would you mind if I perhaps take the front seat?" The tentative question was posed in a soft, quiet voice. She obviously intended to keep the others from overhearing if at all possible. "I-If no one else wants it, that is. It’s just that - I kind of get -" A frustrated sigh passed through her lips. She would have had no trouble if she were asking for something for someone else. But to ask for something for herself? She wasn't used to that, to say the least. "I get motion-sick, and I’d like to avoid subjecting everyone to... that." Mirabelle's voice was low, a hair above a whisper. A slight grimace shaped her features momentarily. "I-It’s no bother at all if not, though. I’ll manage." She knew that was a lie, and yet she said it anyway. Sure, she could manage - she would just have to have her eyes on the horizon at all times, and hope it would work. That, and drink a lot of water. Or ginger ale, if they made a pitstop. She could even take Dramamine, but that tended to make her feel woozy. Not exactly the best approach if they were to be attacked by monsters, which they undoubtedly would be at some point. There was no way such a large group of demigods would pass unnoticed - that, and they had two children of the Big Three with them. Just one alone was like a beacon saying "hey! Monsters! Demigod meals-on-wheels!".
Not to mention the fact that Khione would probably send her minions after them, if she hadn’t already. Yes, it was better to be alert and nauseous than asleep when her friends needed her. Though the prospect of a repeat ‘Mirabarf’ incident was nearly enough to make her reconsider.

||Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Cabin 3|Tags: Sa'd, Zahra --> Hu, Caspia|

Juliet nodded slowly while she listened to Sa'd and Set speak. She crossed her arms tighter over her chest as she regarded this newcomer - another adult, she noticed. And a rather alluring one at that. Sporting a tight burgundy t-shirt and a pair of black jeans, with a really awesome black leather jacket around her shoulders. Fingers covered in golden rings, a lion's head pendant dangling around their neck. Her golden eyes framed with black eyeliner. And were those combat boots? Man, Juliet wished she looked that cool. She felt dull by comparison, with her beat-up jeans and holey purple sweater. Her aviator jacket was pretty sweet, she reckoned. That ought to earn her some 'cool' points at least.
"Trading instead of taking... yeah, I can swing that." Juliet shifted on her feet. "Colourful rocks you say..." A sinister look crossed her face. A plan was starting to formulate in her brain of how to trick the gryphon, though she'd have to run it by Hu first. Oh, and Caspia, if she was the pranking type. "Yeah, sure. I'll tell ya how it goes." She waved offhandedly, though she would probably forget her agreement the moment Sa'd left.
"Anyways, good to meetcha, sad dude. And chaos guy or whatever. See you around. Or maybe not." She shrugged, her typical air of nonchalance doing its work. "And you too, I guess." The latter was directed at the adult and the weird girl following her around, though Juliet hadn't caught either's name. All in all not a big deal. She probably would've just forgotten their names anyways.

||Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Outside Dining Pavilion|Tags: Yuno|

"Like, thanks, man!" Chuck bleated, breaking into a grin. "You have like, no idea how relieving it is to hear that, you know?" He watched as Yuno jotted something down, absently chewing on his sleeve. Always organised, that one. They reminded him of Mira in that sense - though Mira tended to have a mental checklist rather than a physical one. He absently wondered if Mira's mental checklist was colour-coded and had little sticky notes all over it.
"Uh, so like, where do we even start?" Chuck shuffled his hooves in the snow. "We can totally like, get the other satyrs to help and stuff, most of them are like, trying to anyways, I think." He'd seen a few fellow satyrs out in the woods, mostly consoling dryads and attempting to offer help, though they had seemed a bit confused as to how exactly to do so.

||Zahra Al-Amin|217/Looks 32|She/They|Magician; Eye of Sekhmet|Location: Outside Cabin 3 --> Behind Cabins|Tags: Jay, Sa'd/Set|

Zahra was a bit miffed at being called a 'girl' by the chaos god - she was two hundred and seventeen years old, for crying out loud. That, and they weren't fully a woman to begin with. Sure, she had been using 'she/her' pronouns more in her head that day, but that tended to fluctuate depending on how they felt. Nonetheless, the Eye of Sekhmet led the Host of Set and their accompanying god behind a row of buildings, which Chiron had called 'cabins' earlier. Zahra thought that was rather funny - the only building that looked cabin-like in any regard to her was the one the aforementioned gryphon was seated outside. They checked back to make sure that Jay was following; she and Anubis should hear this information as well.
When they were far enough out of earshot of any demigods, Zahra stopped walking and turned to face the three. "Jay and Anubis, I believe, have already made my acquaintance, but allow me to introduce myself. I am Zahra Abubakar Nashwa Al-Amin, Magician of the Ninth Nome and current Eye of Sekhmet. I wish there were time for more formalities, but I must 'get to the point', as they say." Her tone was clear and sharp, but not unkind. Their mixed Arabic-London accent had thickened in her haste, and they hoped the three could comprehend what she was saying. "Set, Anubis - we need your help. The Duat is in chaos - almost literally, I'm afraid. You two recall the Ogdoad, though I am uncertain if your Hosts have recollection. Hosts, do either of you know of the Ogdoad? I can explain briefly if I must."

||Vivienne Isole|18|She/Her|Khione|Location: Mount Marcy Caverns|Tags: Nicholas|

Vivienne nodded as she listened to Nicholas's explanation, internally committing everything of importance to memory. They will follow my every command, but they are limited. They won't be able to be used against me by any of the Underworld children.
'Things would be different if I were going with you'. That was a curious thing for him to say. She eyed Nicholas with interest as he continued speaking, though she couldn't help but wonder what he would be doing if not aiding in her attack of Camp Half-Blood. That is none of my business, and I know it. Still, the thought scratched at the back of her mind like a caged rodent.
Nicholas's ramblings about the gods were of little concern to her, but his claims of 'building a clock' were odd ones, to be sure. Vivienne figured it was probably some sort of expression or idiom; she wasn't the most familiar with those as of late. She didn't flinch or stiffen when he patted her on the shoulder, though she eyed his hand with pure and utter confusion. Not only was the gesture unexpected, but the momentary warmth against her frigid skin was a strange sensation. The action was almost... reassuring? She wasn't quite sure what to make of it. His next words stuck with her, however. 'You're one of the lucky ones.' He was right, of course. Her mother had only said the same thing about a thousand times. Count yourself lucky that I'm helping you. A constant refrain in their day-to-day talks.
Nicholas had fallen quiet, she realised. But words had melted from Vivienne's mind like snowflakes on a sunny day. A moment of silence stretched between them before she finally came up with something to say. "If that is all... I should begin preparations for the attack." By that, she meant don her armour so she would be ready to go the moment Khione gave word that the venti were assembled. She would have to hunt down Ozymandias as well, and perhaps his flock if they were so inclined to follow him. She doubted the gryphons would join the fray, they mostly kept to themselves. Her friendship with Ozymandias was a different matter. She had saved his life, and in his eyes, he owed her a debt. She knew that much. It was no wonder he was so willing to charge into battle alongside her.

| Ophelia Rogers | 16 | She/her | Aphrodite/Cabin 10 | Location: Armoury| tags: Celeste, Aydan |

Ophelia put the shield down at the question, making a mental note to look into it later. It's not everyday that you see a shield like that, I'll bet the monsters will be tripped up for it., she mused, unbuckling it and tucking it back into it's niche for later. She smirked at Aydan's attempt at a nickname. I have to hand it to him, the boy keeps on trying, she thought, considering his request. It was an odd favor to ask, and she knit her brows in thought. "Sure." She shrugged, trying not to let on how not knowing bothered her. She chewed on the inside of her cheek, focusing on the sensation and deftly avoiding thoughts of why she felt like this. Feelings are overrated. Breathe!

With that, she turned to her other companion, her eyes wandering around the cartridges by Celeste as she tried to determine if her sister had found what she desired. "There's some targets in the arena, good for testing those," She told Celeste, grateful for a place to focus her gaze besides the iceboy.

| Agatha "Aggy" Clemson | 15 | She/her | Unknown (Ares)/Cabin 11| Location: Stables| tags: Mira, Dahlia, Jamie, Aiden, Skylar, Karter, Teilo, Ash | mentions: Mirabelle

Aggy watched Mira's every move, trying to memorize the movements to replicate on her own mount. From Mira's confidence, she felt that she could safely assume that Spicy's tack would also be located in the back of her stall, so she set about on the grand mission of retrieving it. She turned back to the stall, her scabbard thumping against her thigh as she moved too fast. Spicy flicked her ears back at that, and Aggy froze for a moment, just outside the stall. She glanced around, cursing her luck when she noted that most the others were already in the midst of tacking up their mounts. This is mad unfair, She groaned inwardly, but pushed on. Afterall, now was not a good time to convince them that she didn't belong on this trip. She took a slow breath, released it, then plunged on, jiggling open the stall door and stepping inside.

Spicy seemed rather unbothered by the whole situation, looking over at Aggy for only a second before turning her attention back to the net of hay along her wall. Aggy inched along the opposing wall, quite glad to find the tack she needed tucked into a crevice in the back of the stall. Part one: complete! Something looked different about the bridle than the one that Mira had used, but she brushed it off. Mira had made it look simple. And it was.

She approached the mare once more, this time with a swish in her step. She had this! She put the blanket and saddle on just as Mira had instructed, careful to not ruffle any feathers along the pegasi's back as she did so. The girth was trickier, but no match for Aggy! She examined her handiwork, grinning as she took in how neat it looked. Last part! She told herself, redirecting the nerves that danced in her stomach into jolts of excitement, just as her mother had taught her.

She glanced over the bridle, and frowned. There's a...piece of metal? She mused, shifting it in her hands to hold it up, just like the blonde had held hers. The mare eyed her quizzically, pausing from her snack with several strands of hay still hanging from her mouth. What now? She gnawed on a lip as she considered her options, none of them enticing. Suck it up buttercup! It's either that, or risk falling from however high we end up! She sighed. "Hey, Mira?" She called, kicking herself for how small her voice sounded. "I, uh," Gods, she hated this! Still, she ground on. "Spice has a weird bridle!" She said, ignoring how much it sounded like she was tattling on the leather contraption of all things.

| Reese Dawson | 17 | Hades/Cabin 13 | Location: Cabin 1 (King of the World) | tags: Emmie,

Reese enjoyed the shared heat, even though the cold did not have much effect on him
When she made her first remarks about her father, Reese just laughed, admiring the brightness of the cabin and taking the time to check out the marble and gold details. But what struck him most was how bright it was, especially in comparison to his own cabin. Truly fit for a king! He mused, only shaken by Emmie, muttering about the place's inadequacy, of all things! Oh well, I am not losing out on my icecream over a petty argument. He thought, happily plopping beside her, his spoon at the ready. It was bad form, but this was farm from boot camp.

He gazed at the pint, suddenly realizing how small it was as he lounged next to the redhead. Should have bargained for more, he thought bitterly. With distraction on his mind, he was struck with an idea, as if by the god of thunder himself...if he actually exists. Despite being at camp for so long, Reese still wasn't quite sold on this whole "god" idea. Oh well. He took the container to open it, and turned to Emmie, eager to pass his thought on before the moment passed. "Your cabin has a lovely set-up! Care to hook us up with some entertainment?" He asked, the excitement creeping into his voice as he waved a hand at the television.

| Henry "Hank" Walker | 17 | He/him | Apollo/Cabin 7 Head Counselor | Location: Cabin 7--> | tags: open!

The letters had not been a good idea. It turned out that the catastrophe was a little too fresh for that. At least, Hank could only assume that's what the last twenty minutes of renewed sobbing, which only ended when Mattie's tears descended into silence, her slumbering form clutching his now damp shirt. As for himself, he was dry eyed. You didn't spend years at camp without growing a thick skin. Was I like her once? He wondered absently, disentangling his hands from where he'd been stroking her knotted hair. Chaos child. He smiled ruefully, remembering when the term would've befitted himself. Everyone wants to be a partner in crime. A sigh escaped him, and he shifted out from under the sleeping girl, careful not to wake her up. Let her escape her nightmares with some dreams.

He pulled a blanket from the supply shelf and laid it on her, smiling to himself as she curled into it. With that, he ducked out of the cabin. He was far from eager to rejoin those gathered at the shrouds, but they'd have to be done by someone. He shook his head and shuffled into the snow, focusing on the crunch beneath his feet rather than the monumental task he was walking toward.

    Feeling - curious, but also idk I'm still fleshing out their personality Tagged - Aiofe and Roxanne Location - The Lake

    Shaye really wished that they could go back to visit the underworld.. at least it was warm down there and they didn't have to deal with this blasted snow. Their hiking boots were successfully keeping the wet wintery hellspawn from seeping into her socks, but that was besides the point. it was the middle of summer, this stuff wasn't supposed to exist until at least November.
    They fiddled with their clothing; grumbling to themselves as their pace slowed, the tracks they left in the snow turning to skidmarks until the white ground got levelled out by their many pacing footprints. The high collar of her denim jacket helped keep the wind from kissing her skin, but they pulled their hoodie up anyways, her curly brown locks falling into her eyes when the hood flattened the mop of hair that made their head look twice as big.
    They probably looked like a watching flashback of pop-punk meets canadiana... the flannel hoodie underneath the bulky jean jacket lined with fleece. Her jeans were tattered and at one point were black, but the rips were definitely poor taste in this weather. They hadn't really planned to spend the summer dressed for cold. They wore a heavy belt that probably didn't work well in keeping their pants up, a chain bouncing off her thigh with each step. Hidden in each boot were their daggers, named respectfully Honour and Pride; which was which? they didn't know. Yeah, it was definitely a more clashing type of style they'd recently become obsessed with... they didn't really have a comeback for that.
    Whatever, it didn't matter to them anymore, they were stuck like this; at least they looked relatively stylish.
    The wandering aimlessly through the woods kind of looked like a scene from a fall out boy music video, lets be honest. They took a deep breath, scrunching up their nose when their breath temporarily appeared in front of their face like a soft cloud. pathetic, no, they hate the cold... not nice nope, not poggers that was for sure.
    whatever, they weren't emotionally attached to the situation... they could just remain in camp until like December when the blasted snow melted and it got up to ninety degrees, yaknow, just in time for Christmas.
    Shaye wished they had a monster-energy at this exact moment, mainly because they hadn't had any caffeine today and they kind of wanted to see how chaotic they truly could be... maybe if they found someone they could just... adapt to being a feral gremlin?
    that sounded like a plan, okay they were going to find someone to bother.
    They halted in their tracks once more, realizing they weren't even thinking straight(well i mean they can't but yaknow) and instead of adopting a plan to finding their next victim, they were just looping around the trees in circles. They had passed their own footprints several times at this point and honestly she believed that at some point the dryads were going to kick her out sooner rather than later... especially if they kept grabbing random branches that were low enough to reach just for the sake of doing so.
    They were closer to the lake than they were to the cabins and big house... maybe there were people there? a poor little Poseidon child that unbeknownst to them were in the wrong place at the wrong time? that sounded like an idea.
    With newfound vigour, Shaye struts off toward the lack, the snow becoming more difficult to navigate as the ground hidden underneath it morphed from grass and dirt to sand and pebbles. Even with the weather being cold enough to leave a thin film of ice all across the lake in front of her, the sand remained... well sandy.
    Was there more than one person there? Shaye squinted because apparently, they needed glasses or something like that. Not far ahead they could see a couple of silhouettes near the shore of the lake.
    Now, Shaye was definitely not familiar with all the campers, despite being a member of the camp for just over 6 years now, they just weren't that great with names, and only was familiar with the other demigods that uh... unfortunately found her pranks more than once...
    They approached with a skip in their step, bright blue eyes wide as they recognized the pair. Did Shaye remember their names? nope and they weren't surprised honestly, neither of these two had run into them when they were running their usual shenanigans. Their faces were familiar though, so they weren't new campers.
    Were they talking? yes. would it be rude to interrupt? probably. was Shaye gonna do it anyway? absolutely.
    Shaye picked up the pace to a quick skip as they neared the two campers, taking a quick leap and landing heavily, showering snow over the pair. Unfortunately, it didn't reach either's face, if anything just dotting their clothes with the white grossness.

    "what's poppin kidlets?" They piped, knowing full well at least the hebe child was older than themself. Their voice climbed to a higher octave of excitement as they waved before throwing a peace sign because what else could they do? Finger guns might've been more authentic... everyone does peace signs these days.
    They shook off their boots, and honestly probably made a couple of gross noises as they did so, before stepping over onto the cleared earth and pebbles that were right next to the water. They dragged the tow of their boot to write out a very crude 'sHaYE', then an acronym that likely no one knew and could only take a wild guess at, it was the most intelligent saying she knew, and it was a secret only her and the cool kids knew... 'lol'
    Did they want to talk more? well yes, Shaye had a million things to say at once, and could probably keep yapping for hours about literal nonsense.
    Instead, she just quirked her mouth to the side like that one Kermit meme and stared with wide eyes... yo maybe they had a spare firework in their coat jacket, that'd be fun to throw out onto the lake...
    no no no wait that's dumb... wait until night and throw it into the campfire, that might be a good idea.
    "Anywhoooo" they whistled. "do anything fun lately? or are you guys lame?" Yeah that's a good icebreaker, good yes good cool that's good. Shaye found themselves nodding before realising they were just responding outwardly to their own thoughts.
    ... nice

[☘︎]Aoife Murphy|17|she/her|Hebe|The Lake|Tags:Roxanne, Shaye

Aoife nodded in response, glad to hear that at least somebody was holding it together. Her gaze flicked to the dog when Rox pet her head, reaching out to let the creature sniff her hand before giving it a small pat. She let out a bitter huff at the mention of trying to save the big house. “Lot of good that did.” She winced internally as she realized how insensitive that had sounded. She hadn’t actually seen Laurel using her powers to hold up the collapsing Big House, but from what she’d heard it had been quite impressive. “I guess it could’ve been worse. Not much, but still.”

Then the question was turned around on her and she shrugged non-chalantly. “I’m not great obviously, bit traumatized—who isn’t?—but I’m not falling apart or anything.” She turned her attention back to the lake, staring out at the rough, glassy surface. She was shaken out of her thoughts abruptly by the arrival of someone else—announcing their presence with unapologetic flare and sending a spray of dirty slush against her legs.

“Dude, watch it!” She shot the other camper a glare before eyeing them with an expression that was curious, but not unfriendly. “Kidlets? You sound like a middle aged highschool english teacher trying to be hip.” She watched Shaye trace something out in the sand with her boot, eyes following the movement with interest. “Anything fun like almost dying? Or fun like avoiding near death? I guess that’s pretty standard around here, isn’t it?” The question was rhetorical, a little bit morbid to actually expect an answer. “I’ve never been lame in my life thank you very much. What have you been doing besides spattering muddy snow on my good jeans?” Her tone was playful, she wasn’t as irritated by the arrival as her words may have implied. It was just snow, the wet spots would dry and there was no point being upset over it.

please give me instructions, i promise i'll follow
i tripped on my ankle and fractured my elbow
but doesn't that mean that the tour's gonna sell, though?
i try to explain the good faith that's been wasted
but after an hour, it sounds like complaining
wait, don't go away, can i lie here forever?
you say that i'm better, why don't i feel better?
the universe works in mysterious ways
but i'm starting to think it ain't working for me
doctor, should i be good, should i be good this year?

Karter caught Mirabelle's gaze and gave her a nod of acknowledgement before finishing tacking up. Tacking up was easy. Mounting...not so much. The pegasus did all it could to skitter away from him or shake him off. He tugged his hood down, shaking out his brown hair and glared in irritation at the equine annoyance.

August was frozen, rooted to the spot. She didn’t mean to eavesdrop on the conversation, but for some reason, she couldn’t seem to move. Lucy was speaking in a voice that wasn’t her own, she thought she recognized it, though she couldn’t quite pin down a name at the moment. Her attention was soon brought back to the words actually being said as the daughter of Apollo continued, a sinister edge to her voice. She felt a jolt as she realized what was happening—Lucy was threatening Orin, blackmailing him? Implying that she had something over him.

Then came the son of Zeus’ reaction, which only served to further her panic. The fake pleading, then the sudden, manic laughter. She watched with wide eyes, heart pounding in her ears. She was hit with the sudden realization that she’d made a horrible mistake letting her guard down. This didn’t seem like Orin, but how well did she actually know him? She’d seen him break down once and suddenly thought she could trust him? He was clearly hiding something.

But of course he was. Everyone was. This was exactly why she didn’t trust anyone at camp. This was why she never let go of her mask. This only proved how right she’d been. Regret, shame and panic were all crashing in on her at once, blurring her thoughts together. The weight of what she’d done seemed to be suffocating her as she watched the scene unfold. This didn’t seem like the boy that had been there when her facade had cracked, who had sat with her through the storm of emotions following the news of her mother’s death, but maybe she didn’t really know him at all. Maybe he was someone else entirely, his tone menacing enough to match Lucy’s.

She didn’t want to see any more. She felt sick. Stepping forward, she dropped her shadow cover, lighter still clutched tightly in her fist, warm from being in her hand for so long. “Orin.” Her voice was cold, restrained, her face not betraying the tempest of emotions crashing around inside her head. “Your lighter.” She tossed it towards him without waiting for a response, a little more force in the throw than was actually necessary. She turned back the way she’d come immediately, hands shoved into the pockets of her jacket as she walked.

She didn’t know why she cared. People sucked. People were liars and cheaters and they were two faced and everybody was hiding something. She wasn’t supposed to be surprised by this anymore. She wasn’t supposed to feel betrayed by it. Especially not when she didn’t even know what it was that was being hidden. This wasn’t supposed to affect her.

Caleb scoffed at the question of love potions. “Of course not, it would be a business venture. We’re gonna need something to pay for the honeymoon, aren’t we? You honestly think that I would need a love potion?” He scoffed again, rolling his eyes at the ridiculous suggestion.

“I think they would. You know how many people there are on this gods forsaken planet? There’s always someone getting married. My dad liked it so much, he did it twice.” He made a face at the idea that anyone could hate him. Of course, that was a common occurrence, his ego was often too much for people, but that didn’t stop him from pouting dramatically at the suggestion. “As long as he does his job guess it doesn’t really matter what he thinks of me.” He raised an eyebrow, a disbelieving smile spreading across his face. “Dude, I’m a son of Athena. Machinery is like...my whole thing.” He glanced down at the ring on his hand, his own invention that had nearly killed Emmie earlier that day.

Despite his surprise at the flood of laughter that had taken over the son of Ares, he was glad to see it. Everything at camp had been so dismal lately, it was nice to actually make someone smile for once. “Listen, I don’t want to say anything incriminating but this guy was a real piece of work. Used to give me attention for no reason. No reason at all! Just cause I put his toupee on a dog leash and chained it up at the front of the school once. I was simply expressing an artistic vision.” He shook his head. “So, yes, he deserved it. Was that the question? Nobody caught me so it doesn’t really matter now, does it. You still want to marry me after hearing my dark history?” He raised his eyebrows in question.

if only i could keep you in my pocket
to give me some diagnosis of why i'm so hollow
please give me instructions, i promise i'll follow
i tripped on my ankle and fractured my elbow
but doesn't that mean that the tour's gonna sell, though?
i try to explain the good faith that's been wasted
but after an hour, it sounds like complaining
wait, don't go away, can i lie here forever?
you say that i'm better, why don't i feel better?
the universe works in mysterious ways
but i'm starting to think it ain't working for me
doctor, should i be good, should i be good this year?

Re: Camp Half-Blood: Into the Storm - Open & Accepting!

Postby Galeslash7 » Wed Feb 03, 2021 7:58 pm

Skylar Kakitid, 16 years old, Female, Daughter of Hecate, 7 year camper, Location: Stables, Tags: Aiden, Stables Crew, Mentions: None

Skylar admitted that she needed to know more about each of the campers at camp. Usually she was so focused on her siblings and older friends, that she didn't try to learn more about others. There were so many campers at Camp Half-Blood, but she really needed to know these important things. Like her fellow counselors. She didn't know that much about Aiden, not nearly as much as she should. She honestly had no idea about how the Athena campers had gotten annoyed at Aiden's ideas before he was counselor. Maybe when she came back from the quest, she would try to make it a habit to learn something about everyone. So she half-ignored what he said at first, half-dropped the discussion. If you could call it that.

But at mentions of her mischief, Skylar broke into a huge smirk. "Well of course you haven't heard of me doing that kind of stuff! I am not like Juliet who outright pranks people and lets them know exactly who it was. I love to do the subtle things, it always keeps 'em guessing and they never expect it." She winked at him before continuing. "I mean, you probably knew to avoid to Hermes Cabin yesterday, that was just so obvious. I just like people to assume it was me because of rather amazing piece of magic, but never have any real proof. Except of course, that amazing magic could have only come from me. But still. Oof, she had probably gone too boastful there, one off her major flaws. Too late to stop now. "Magic and deception is kind of my thing, so you never know what is coming. All you will hear about me is rumors. Well, usually true rumors."

At Aidan's mention of Aggy, Skylar paused. She remembered that Aggy was that rambunctious new camper, right? Super enthusiastic yet too rash? She had heard a few rumors on those first few hours of yesterday. Before the Big House... Anyways, she would definitely have to mess with her, especially since she seemed to be coming on the quest and Aiden made it sound like she was a bit gullible. Oh, she would definitely have fun in this quest. Maybe it would even feel like a vacation? Skylar noticed several others start to get on their Pegasi, and she glanced toward the still sparkly Void. There black made just stared back at her as if either annoyed with her or just trying to figure her out. Why did that Pegasus seem so smart? It was kind of freaking her out.
