𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘. in his early life oddeyes was treated as a runt not wort
h the effort of feeding. only his mother’s affection for her ‘oddy,’ kept him
alive long enough to apprentice. many of the tasks were hard for such a sm
all cat often bullied by the other apprentices & looked over by the warriors.
his mother died delivering her next litter before he had finally discovered h
is talents as a gatherer’s apprentice. without anyone to be proud of him, o
ddeyes decided to work tirelessly for himself to prove once & for all that he
was a worthy member of ruinclan. his warrior name is proof that oddeyes is
just as capable as other cats & his skills & techniques as a gatherer are an u
ndeniable asset to the clan’s survival.
𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄. despite being a fully grown tom, Oddeyes is a small cat
dwarfed by all but the apprentices with a slight, skinny frame hardly fleshe
d with muscle at all. the bones of his shoulder blades form sharp peaks und
er a coat that hangs loosely, occasionally revealing his ribs. adding to his un
healthy appearance is his scruffy pelt: it is a rich mottled brown color with
black spotted tabby markings & a few touches of russet hue on his nose & b
ack but is also very dry, coarse fur that sticks up in whiskery tufts at his te
mples, shoulders, & the base of his tail. the fur falls out easily since oddey
es is prone to stress-shedding & is quite thin. he earns his name from his hu
ge, luridly yellow-green eyes that dominate his small, narrow face & miss n
othing. aging him beyond his years is a touch of white at his mouth set off b
y a very red nose that can appear raw as if from a cold. oddeyes appears sic
kly but survives as well as any cat & is often at a slight weight even when w
ell-fed & in prime condition. his scent is dank & musty like growing things &
his voice is low & thin with a reedy quality to it at times (v.c. is Nick Hoult).

𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘. as his name suggests, oddeyes is a strange character. h
e used to rarely speak & simply stare at others, giving the impression that
he was simple. but he just isn’t interested in observing social customs he d
eems superficial as they have never served him well to begin with. he does
n’t care to be popular & knows some cats dislike him for being odd so the s
mall tom maintains peace with his clanmates by hanging around the fringes
of things & never calling attention to himself. existing outside of social nor
ms has made him a bit eccentric & quirky as he has a habit of speaking to h
imself when he’s trying to concentrate & is very particular about his metho
ds while gathering. strangeness aside, oddeyes isn’t unworthy of respect as
he is exceptionally good at finding useful items in the abandoned twoleg to
wn his clan lives on the edges of. he has this uncanny ability to see the pot
ential of an item’s usefulness even if it's an object cats have never made us
e of before. whether a cat likes him or not, many employ his gathering skill
s to find particular items for a price. many underestimate oddeyes & his ab
ility to think outside the box or approach a situation in an entirely new way.
they see a weak-looking creature & write him off because he doesn’t appea
r to be a fighter but his mind is much sharper than his claws. those who hav
e struck up a friendship with him know oddeyes to be a witty cat who is pro
ud of his specialty & providing for his clan. cats should be careful not to cro
ss him though as oddeyes isn’t above petty, creative schemes of revenge &
can eel his way out of a lot of tough situations.

𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄. it is hard to miss badgermouth’s hulking mass amongst
his clan as he stands half-a-head taller than most cats. he has a heavy-set,
muscular body supported by a sturdy frame & massive paws. badgermouth’s
pelt is made of fluffy, medium-long gray-black & white fur. his name comes
from having a dark, sooty-colored face marked by symmetrical white blotch
es at the muzzle, sort of like a badger. the darkness of his face makes his gr
een eyes shine bright as holly leaves in the sun. badgermouth carries the sc
ent of dusty earth & crumbled bricks; his voice is deep & friendly with a joc
ular tone (v.c. is Chance Perdomo).
𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘. the tom’s sheer size can be intimidating to some, but a
nycat who knows badgermouth at all knows he doesn’t throw his weight aro
und and has a rather devil-may-care attitude. he isn’t the smartest or most
sophisticated & as a result is quite unassuming & content with his position i
n the clan, leaving the real problems to the leader and deputy. however, he
is not to be mistaken for stupid as badgermouth has an insufferably clever t
ongue & gets a kick out of sparring with words. badgermouth has an amiabl
e, unbothered nature that is easy to get along with because he is just too b
ig to fuss over small things. he does anything he is asked but has a habit of
complaining about stuff he’s not really upset about & resorts to hyperbolic
comments of ridiculous proportions. while he may be loud & take up a lot o
f space, badgermouth is a great, dependable clanmate who looks out for an
yone who needs it & is a surprisingly good mediator. he can keep a secret &
is quite fond of gossip, too. because of his physical prowess badgermouth k
nows his clan has high expectations of him which he takes very seriously, b
ut the gravity of responsibility weighs on him and as a result badgermouth
keeps things very light.

𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄. mallowpaw is scrawnier than the average apprentice wi
th a leggy, gangly build prone to clumsiness. if they could stop tripping over
their own paws, mallowpaw would prove an excellent distance runner with
their long limbs & lean musculature. their pelt is made of short, soft mouse
y brown fur overlaid in strong black tabby on a white base that brightens th
eir entire underside. they have wide, guileless eyes the color of budding lea
ves that shine rather beautifully from a white-blazed face framed in brown
fur & black stripes with a very pink nose. mallowpaw is growing up to be a t
all, willowy cat but lacks confidence in themselves & thus lacks any grace o
r fluidity in their motions; she holds herself awkwardly & seems to constant
ly be tripping over her own tail. when mallowpaw speaks, their voice is a sl
ightly stuttering low alto that can be worked up into an excited yowling wh
en they’re animated or a shrill whine when they’re confused or anxious (v.c.
is Lachlan Watson).
𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘. mallowpaw very much has her head stuck in the clouds;
she’s a day dreamer who never appears to be listening or paying attention
or even on the same planet as other cats. because they spend so much tim
e in their own head, mallowpaw comes off as detached & obtuse like she d
oesn’t have a clue or care in the world. most of her behavior are attributes
of an attention deficit disorder which also makes her forgetful & scatterbra
ined. mallowpaw has a bad habit of blurting out anything that comes into h
er head making her obnoxious to boot. in truth, mallowpaw is a sweetheart
who doesn’t wish to hold hate for any cat but she is very misunderstood &
not very good at stopping to read the room before being unapologetically h
erself. should any cat look past her social failings & get to know her better,
they would see mallowpaw has a big heart & lots of loyalty & devotion stor
ed for those special to them as well as some moments where they show wi
sdom beyond their years. their warrior skills are currently unimpressive but
could improve if mallowpaw could just find the motivation to focus & be m
ore present in the moment.

serpentstar is a cat built for survival, someone whose temper and snapping tone generally comes from
a place of care and anxiety; he has been weathered by moons of hardship, but even stones can be a
welcome source of warmth, given the opportunity. this tom goes about his days a step ahead, always
making a plan for not just what comes next, but for the possibilities that might branch off from any
situation. he likes to avoid bad scenarios before they happen, knowing that too often cats may not
get a second chance. because of this, he's usually the first to put himself in danger, especially since he
gained multiple lives that his clan doesn't possess. still, it usually takes a well-seeing eye to notice that
this bossy, stern tom leads the way he does because of his constant anxiety that a cat who chooses not
to follow the warrior code or stick to an order might end up in danger or, worse, the paws of their starry
ancestors. around his friends and kin, however, serpentstar is more affectionate and humorous, never
one to disappoint those who look to him for comfort and a safe haven.

serpentstar learned many of his mannerisms from his father, scarabheart, who was his best friend from
day one. their relationship only grew closer after serpentstar was attacked by a badger a handful of
moons after becoming a warrior. he lost a significant portion of his left hind leg during the ordeal, and
many cats didn't think he would survive the blood loss; however, thanks to a skilled medicine cat and a
relatively clean break, serpentstar lived to see many painful, grueling days of healing and learning how
to be a warrior again. his father would be to thank for that, and serpentstar will forever look forward to
the day they can be united again; until then, he is focused on serving his family and clan.

dizzypaw is perhaps a cat's best shot at having an interesting day; there is hardly a dull moment with this
bright, ever-changing apprentice. you never know quite what you'll get with them each day, as they are
easily bored with the mundane and can never really settle into a strict routine -- thus, if not given an
interesting or challenging task to keep them busy, they'll often find their own ways to stir the pot. this
cat handles change remarkably well, usually one to step back and let events unfold instead of stressing
about what they cannot control; of course, anyone who thinks dizzypaw won't place a paw in the
waters of fate to make a new current is gravely mistaken. surprisingly, however, dizzypaw can be rather
indecisive and is far from a cat in possession of leader-like qualities; they would much rather hang back
and let other cats do the big decision making. they do excel in bonding with other cats, and is someone
who likes to make sure everyone and everything is taken care of -- dizzypaw doesn't like to leave loose
threads, so any task (both personal and obligational) is never left undone.

with a name like his, others tend to not bother with introductions to this little feline in general.
most overlook him due to his minuscule size, writing him off as any type of threat really. although
he may appear one way to the outside world, peweepaw's got the heart and ferocity, albeit not int
imidating, of a lion. he's accustomed to the doubt and skepticism he reads in the eyes of others wh
ere he's regarded; some don't think he'll be much help with whatever he does while others would
go to bat for the little cat any time and any place. peweepaw has a way of growing on you like lea
ves grow on trees - it's only natural and eventually he will. sure, you might want to shake him off
every now and then but he won't be gone for long. the little orange and white tabby is a nosy char
acter but he likes to think he is discreet about his tendency to snoop and if he's ever called out for
his nosiness he can flip the situation around entirely with his need to question everything and anyt
hing. no one is really sure if peweepaw ever grasped the concept of personal space and he hasn't
shown any evidenced that he even believes that's an actual thing. he's a very touchy cat which
can send the wrong signals sometimes and cause issues, but he's just an overly familiar cat who
connects with others through touch.

⤷ ＨＩＳＴＯＲＹ

growing up in a small family of four was as normal as ever for peweepaw. his parents were both
exceptional members of ruinclan; his mother a skilled hunter and his father a brutish warrior. he
was born in a litter of three and was the smallest of the bunch. considerably so that the medicin
e cat was worried there was something wrong with him, that he was sickly or something. turns o
ut that's just how he was built and he was as healthy a kit as any other. when the clan stumbled
upon the discovery of the infected cats and the illness that seemed to create them he felt fear
for the first time straight down to his bones. nothing could have prepared him or his siblings for
what was to come. their mother, pebbledrift had gone out for some solo hunting like she did any
other day, except she hadn't returned for what had been far too long. peweepaw and his siblings
were trouble with their wild minds, thinking up every case scenario that they could that would ex
plain why pebbledrift hadn't come back yet, causing paranoia among the litter. eventually, pewe
epaw decided to take matters into his own paws and search for his mother, despite everyone telli
ng him his efforts were fruitless because her absence most likely meant she'd been infected. refu
sing to believe that his mother was gone for good he set out to find her, and find her he did. ex
ept it wasn't her, not really. peweepaw had found his mother trap ped beneath hard stone of a
crumbling twoleg nest, surrounded by slabs of rock with only a hole just tiny enough for him to fit
through. pebbledrift had been infected and peweepaw had never actually seen an infected cat be
fore or what happens to them. seeing his mother in the crazed, deranged state that she was rattl
ed him to the core, though she was still his mother. his naive actions nearly got his face bit off w
hen he got within reaching distance of her and when her frantic flailing and slamming against the
boulders didn't cease, there was a low rumble as the rocks shook and fell one final time, crushi
ng pebbledrift indefinitely.

sabletrail is a kindhearted warrior bound by the clan code, one who takes the laws of the clan seriously
just as she does everything else. it can make things difficult when situations arise where straying from
the code is necessary because this tuxedo is very set in her ways. despite having an immoveable mind
she is a cat that others can always count on to follow through with her word and to pull her weight as
well as that of others at times. sabletrail's reliability and devotion to her duties as a warrior are a few
of that traits she's highly regarded for and she finds a satisfying sense of pride and honour when other's
feel comfortable enough to trust in her abilities. one of the black and white molly's greatest downfalls
though is her tendency to jump to conclusions. sabletrail is admittedly hasty in her judgement and doe
sen't always stop to properly consider all the facts especially when she is involved. she is a very easy
cat to get along with and doesn't normally have trouble meshing well with her clan mates, though that
isn't to say she's friendly with everyone. her low patience can make her tongue quite sharp and her
usually charming wit rather coarse which doesn't always sit well with some members of the clan. her
spontaneous and outspoken nature allow her a reprieve from the serious face she wears the majority
of the time and give her a window of youth if only for a little while.
