I saw this pup when I was sorting my pets and I was just . . . speechless? like something about it is just so perfect.

You know, I had a thought just now about the leafy litter -- not the cats (who are indeed based on plant cells), the dogs. I assumed from the beginning the leaves on the pups were olive branches; now that they're all grown, the bulk of their markings remind me of military camouflage, with the olive branches embracing the camo to create a kind of "war and peace" motif. Note that the PPS is the only one of the four whose design is predominantly branches, with hardly any camo-colored mottling at all.




I could be completely wrong, of course, but it struck me all of a sudden and I wanted to share. ^^;; I'd love to hear EmberWolf's thoughts now that they're grown!

Also, it almost goes without saying, but this litter is gorgeous. All three of them have blown me away, and DisabledLlama's Copic litter (it's all I could think of, they really remind me of Copics lol) has me on the edge of my seat! Y'all are really setting the bar high in 2021

Man I'm late on these but I have to express how much I love this month's chickens.


The colour palette gave me nostalgia for one of my favourite bwolf litters


It's such a gorgeous combination, it makes me think of a very late sunset in summer and now I kinda crave the feeling of sitting at the edge of a pool, letting the evening sun dry me up, and sipping a drink.
...Which is a pretty impressive feat, since I'm actually a huge winter/cold weather person lol

They're my faves this month, so I guess this time my "fav newborns" prediction missed the mark entirely :'D

The butterfly wolves this month are incredible so far!

I agree, the colors of the BW litter are so soft and beautiful!

i'm going to echo you guys here; I love these butterfly wolves. they fit really perfectly with the wintery but cozy january vibes currently going on [at least where i live]. i'm also really enjoying this months dogs; the green litter is delighting me just as much as i hoped they would. the yellow eyes go really really well with their designs!

That's an awesome analysis and I *wish* I had come up with a neat concept like that :lol: Really, I've just been saving this palette for a little while and wanted to use it, so I just did some spotty and leafy things with little thought. But I really like this idea and think it's fitting for them. :) I'm glad you liked them regardless <3

I figured I'd also mention the hamsters designs. They weren't based on dalmatians, cookies n cream, or those sort of things. I actually based them off of plover eggs, because I think they look neat and I like that they come in quite the range of super spotty to not so spotty :)
