"I might, I'm not sure what my clanmates would think, but I know with the other medicine cats they could get along fine. I'd like to stay here tonight though. I want to watch over her until I think she is okay," she said before grabbing some juniper berries out of the herb storage and bringing them to silentpaw. She made sure the berries were small enough, as not to choke her, and put it in silenpaw's mouth. "She should swallow soon and the berries will give her strength. We should bring her to her nest though, she will be aching when she wakes up."

She could see that the leader looked rough. Wolfstar looked as if he had barely slept a wink. "Well, first and foremost, I want to inform you that Copperstrike, Thrushwink, Larkpaw, Silentpaw, and...and Thorngaze are okay." She hesitated at the last name. "I'm not sure where Larkpaw is, but StarClan assures me that she is safe." She waited for that news to sink in.

He nodded in agreement, helping carry Silentpaw to her nest in the medicine den. The walls were barren, and the only thing in there other than her bedding was a small pile of cobwebs and comfrey. "We're, uh, still working on our medicinal supply," he said awkwardly.

"Youre welcome to stay...if you want. You can sleep in here." Thorngaze led Ari into the bushes, where she had made a small nest for herself. "I'll sleep somewhere else. Its fine."
"Thank you. My name's Ari." "Im Thorngaze...Its nice to meet you. Ari. I'll leave you to yourself now. Goodbye." She padded out of the den, seeing Owlpaw. "Hey Thorngaze! What are we gonna do today?"

He choked. "O-okay. There's a but is there?" He looked as if the world had collapsed on him, he felt it too. He didn't know if he should be leader anymore, he wasn't cut out for this. "I wanted you to know something too when you're done."

"Yes, all I could find were a few measly juniper berries to help her. She should wake soon enough though. Can you send out someone to get her some water?" she asked.

Frosteyes blinked his eyes open. He was ready to finally explore the camp. He hadnt been here for long, ever since he left his twolegs, but he didnt want to sit and become fatter and fatter and let his mind rot. He pushed himself up and looked around. Nobody was in the warriors den. He padded out of the den and spotted the pile of birds, fish, and lizards. His pudgy stomach grumbled, but he ignored it. He needed to hunt for the clan first. He looked around for his new deputy, Lilywhisker. He asked her if he could join a hunting control, he was ready to develop a new skill. She agreed and he waited for other cats. Lilywhisker called from a very large rock and yowled out the following names, Tanglefur, Emberheart, Morningwind, and of course, his new name, Frosteyes. He sat by the camp entrance and waited for his newfound clanmates to join him.

She nodded, sad that Wolfstar had to be in this emotional of a state. "Well, while the cats you, erm, banished are alive and well, they appear to have joined a group called the Forest Runners. Lead by Burningstar and Rowanscar." She paused. "Well, he still calls himself Burningleaf. Nevertheless, StarClan has given him two more lives, and he is attempting to gain six more to become a full leader." She dared not think about how many lives Wolfstar had left. "After you say what you wish, would you like a poppy seed? It might help you relax, sleep even."

He nodded. Quickly, he scrounged up a decent clump of moss and dropped it in front of Thrushwink. "Could you get some water for SIlentpaw?" He sat down, all of a sudden returning to the anxieties that he had about Rowanscar postponing their conversation about the possibility of having kits.

She heard her name called and walked up to Frosteyes.

She smiled at the cat. "Having a better time adjusting?" she teased him. She had seen that the cat had lost some weight since joining, and he seemed to be getting stronger every day.

"Maybe-maybe he'll leave us alone... but I have a confession to make." He shook his head, disappointed in himself. "I'm getting older every full moon, it's time for a new generation to take over. I and Lilywhisker were thinking about retiring. Heading off to the elders' den, choosing a new leader, a new deputy because I am not fit for this. I was never meant to be the leader in the first place."
