For a moment, Scorchpaw felt a little guilty for waking them up earlier than they would've liked. Hopefully, Russetleaf would feel the same. "Oh, good morning, Nightjewel. I'll be out in a moment," he whispered and stifled a laugh. The tom wondered if Nightjewel had seen him accidentally attack his sibling in his half-sleep. Scorchpaw peeked around his mentor, seeing a different shape coming through the entrance of the tunnel. "Good morning, Ghostbreeze," he purred politely to his older brother and stood up quickly.

At the sound of a masculine voice, he turned his head to see a young sand-colored cat approaching and curtly dipped his head to the apprentice. Ripplefang wasn't sure how else to greet the other tom. "Uh, good morning... Hawkpaw," he replied and inwardly cringed at the fact that it took him a moment to remember the name. Although the clan wasn't much bigger compared to Shoreclan and Summitclan, he was still struggling to learn everyone that came from the latter. Ripplefang was trying his best though... at least, he hoped. "No, I haven't seen anyone else come back. Are you... going to be training with your mentor soon?"

She was generally curious, but she always loved learned more about the clans and how they lived. Mostly because she hadn't seen much of Sycamoreclan yet. As an afterthought, she added, "That's true, you'll just have to show me more options! Plus I'm sure I can hunt all of the prey when I'm an apprentice."

They overhead Honeydew and Rosepaw talking ahead. Those two had found prey. They felt a little disappointed with themselves, and their head drooped. However, Stormpaw quickly lifted their head when their mentor asked them a question. "Um... well, I suppose I have to start searching with my eyes, ears, and paws." Taking their own advice, with Glasswind's help, they scanned the area and spotted a brown fleck a few fox-lengths away. "There! A mouse," Stormpaw whispered and dropped into a crouch. With the snow, it seemed as if the paw steps were amplified. However, they managed to sneak up and pounce on the mouse successfully. Within moments, the rodent was dead.

Mama is fierce. But she has my back, he thought when Ravenfeather pulled herself into a sitting position and snapped at Driftpaw. Onyxkit glanced over at Alderblaze, but the warrior hadn't done or said anything to the kit. "I slept very good. But it was a little cold, even with Aestheticstalk sleeping in the nursery," he sighed, partially in discomfort at the memory and relief at the warmth of her tail wrapped around his body. With a little guilt, Onyxkit asked, "What about you, Mama? Did you want to sleep in a little longer?"

Creamflower listens to Littlekit asking her questions and giggles a little at the kit's curiosity. "ShoreClan is beautiful!" she answered. "At least in my opinion it is. ShoreClan cats live by the ocean and are known for not only eat prey from the ocean, but are also known to swim! Yes I do miss living there, but I had a reason for wanting to join SycamoreClan and so far I am happy with my decision." Upon hearing Littlekit mention how she will hunt prey once she becomes an apprentice, she nods in agreement. "Yes you will!" she said. "But you still have to wait two more moons until then."

"I think a walk would be wonderful" He stated, standing close to the tom.

Frostheart felt the cool air wake her from her slumber and yawned, getting to her paws and stretching her limbs out. The thick furred female loved this season for her thick coat allowed her to stay warm even in the snow. The pale warrior padded out of the warriors den and looked around the clearing. She noticed Viperstar padding towards the clearing and swished her tail, nodding towards him. The female admired the leader, just because it was such a difficult position, although he wasn't hard on the eyes either. The warrior knew her place, and feelings were not wanted, especially feelings of the heart.

Russetleaf could sense that opening up was something his leader wasn't used to. "I have noticed much of the clan has taken a liking to you and your style of leadership. I know many of them trust you. I cannot speak for all of them but none have brought anything negative to my attention. The biggest way to earn their trust is to just keep your head high. You are doing a great job" He told her, gently running his tail down her side as a comfort, hoping he didn't overstep her boundaries.

SheepBelly was wake laying in the clearing of the camp seemingly unbothered by the snow underneath her which wasn't much of a surprise as she'd originally lived in SummitClan. "alright....thanks" DriftPaw spoke to AlderBlaze, he paused a couple moments before trying to thank the warrior and he felt a tad bit awkward doing so. He did occasionally attempt to express himself from time to time but it always felt unnatural to do.

It didn't take long for his attention to be dragged towards RavenFeather at the sound of her scolding, he stared back without flinching seemingly unaffected by her stare "He's 5 moons, he's old enough to not barge into here yelling like that. Thanks to him I'm wide awake now so no, I can't rest." he sighed shaking his head. The she-cat had adopted the kit not long after he became her apprentice and he despised the furball walking around distracting the medicine cat whose suppose to be training him.

His gaze once more went to the squirrel forget it, I'll grab something else. anything's better then hanging around RavenFeather when her adopted kit is around. He huffed before walking out of the den.

He flicked his ear hearing his apprentice awake with a sneeze due to the herbs that he fell asleep by. A small smile appeared onto his face amused at the apprentice and then heard him move over to where he was. "Good morning to you as well, it seems we are running low on catmint, horsetail, lavender, as well as dandelion leaves. We might need to visit Hazelfeather and Briarpaw." He softly spoke in thought, he knows during this time the medicine cat's had to help each other out due to certain herbs grew on certain territory.
He got up, “let’s head out.” He put away the herbs and grabbed the herbs that no longer had use. He walked out of the den and looked around to see if any warrior was available. “I want you and a warrior to gather what you can of herbs I’m gonna go visit Hazelfeather.” He looked back at silverpaw. “So you think you can do that for me?”

Acornpaw focused some more on trying to find another piece of prey as she moved passed all of her thoughts, letting out soft sighs. She didn't know how to feel as normally she didn't have much of an issue hunting prior to the season change. The apprentice had proven so much in the past moons that she had been a great avid hunter but this morning it seemed like it wasn't true, all she hoped for was that the two warriors were having the same luck as her which wouldn't make her feel so guilty. Of course the one cat she would of loved probably practicing any moves with would of been Stormpaw but they unforunately were still on their patrol. Silverpaw nodded as his mentor listed off the herbs, some of them he knew places were there might be but it would be hard to find anything in the snow. Besides, horsetail was the only plants he knew that grew during winter but getting their paws on the other plants would be difficult to say the least. When Tuftwillow mentioned cats from other clans his ears flicked forwards with interest, he’d heard of the other medicine cats, but the former kittypet hadn’t been in the clan long enough to actually meet any of them.
“Why would they share herbs with us?” He asked, “I thought the clan’s don’t like each other.”
When he’d first found shoreclan many of the cats had been in some sort of shock, nursing wounds both physical and mental from some sort of great battle. He didn’t know much, but he knew enough from his clan mates that those other clans were dangerous and had tended enough wounds from that battle to see the truth in their words. Still, while loosing so many cats must have been horrible, part of him wondered if he and his sister would have been accepted so easily into the clan if they weren’t so low on paws. Did Tuftwillow ever really see potential in him, or had he just been in the right place at the right time?
He stood and followed his mentor out of the den, giving one last look at the sleeping Lilypaw before heading out into the sunlight. When his mentor gave him the plan, Silverpaw stiffened. The beginning of a scowl touched the young cat’s whiskers but he suppressed the expression, not wanting to seem like immature front of his mentor. Tuftwillow would be going without him? So much for meeting the other medince cats. “Yah, sure. I can do that.” He meowed, trying to sound indifferent.
He looked around and decided he’d have to go trotting around camp and hopefully find a warrior that wasn’t to busy at the moment. “I’ll see you later then.” He said to Tuftwillow, a thread of worry for his mentor entering his voice as he turned and walked away. He knew the medicine cat could handle himself, but he couldn’t help be a little nervous.

Her ear twitched as a couple of snowflakes fell on her head, momentarily distracting the young warrior from her sulking. This wasn’t getting her anywhere, she knew that. But the tight wad of grief in her chest made it hard to find any motivation to do anything else. With a sigh Opalblossom forced herself to her paws, noticing the sound of someone grooming themselves nearby. It had been a while since she’d hung out with one of her clan mates. She felt her mouse with the side of her paw, then with a determined flick of her tail picked it up and walked over to the other cat. As she got closer the warm scent of Cocoablaze caused the she cat to relax a bit. They hadn’t talked much as apprentices and even less since they’d become warriors but he had always seemed friendly and had the kind of voice that was easy to listen to.
“Um, hey Cocoablaze” she meowed, dropping the mouse at her paws once she felt like she was pretty close. “You want to share a mouse with me?”

“Well I’ll be! great catch Stormpaw!” Glasswind purred, trotting up to her apprentice, not bothering to hide her surprise and delight at the catch. “I was going to say use your mind, but I guess with eyes and ears like yours you don’t need to.” She chuckled. The mouse dangling from Stormpaw’s jaws was fatter than she’d expect from this time of year, perhaps there was a nest nearby? “We should see if there is any leaf cover under the snow around here, that could lead us to a nice nest.” She told them. “In the cold prey will always be were it is warmest. If you can find a place warmer than the outside air, then you’ll find prey.” It was one of the oldest tricks in the book for a loner. Sure it was easier around two leg dens were finding warm heat vents and old sheds was easy, but the concept applied out here too. She hoped Rosepaw and Honeydew would be successful with that chipmunk Rosepaw had scented, the clan would be pleased if they all managed to catch something.

He let out a sigh feeling like his apprentice was a bit disappointed that he wasn’t going to see the other medicine cats. He would take him soon enough to see them. Though for now he needed to head out to make it to Hazelfeather. He walked out heading towards the border making sure to glance around and keep his ears open for anything out of the ordinary. As he approached the border he glanced around hoping to see a border patrol so that they could take him to Hazelfeather. Though he didn’t see them, he shivered a bit it got colder the closer to the mountains and at one point the rain turned to snow. He couldn’t wait there for them, luckily he had been to their camp before but didn’t want there to be worry. He passed the border and continued his track to Sycamoreclan.

"I can smell a weasel and a chipmunk, the weasel's scent seems to be coming from under some rocks a bit further ahead. Sighing she walked to Crookedoak "Crookedoak, do you mind watching over the camp during the time I go out for a hunt? or do you have something else planned?" she asked at her.
