Dandelionstar had only stepped a few steps away from his cave when he noticed a shivering lump in the snow, it had faint orange and grey splotches on it's mostly white back and it didn't seem to have any fur. Dandelionstar shuffled closer to the shivering hump of skin and curled around it. When it lifted it's head, Dandelionstar realised it was just a cat. "What are you doing out here?" Dandelionstar whispered, still pressing close to the hairless cat to keep it warm. "I-I- I was e-exploring a-and I-I saw this m-mou-mountain and I-I wanted to c-climb it." The shivering cat answered. It was hard to tell if they were nervous or just cold. "I-it was way t-to c-cold and I-I tried t-to g-get warm u-under th-the snow." Dandelionstar nodded slowly, they were in trouble, clearly. "Well, let's get you inside, then, shall we?" He said after a moment. The cat quickly agreed and pressed into his side as they walked back to the cave. "I-It's pretty b-big." Dandelionstar nodded and jumped onto the stalagmite in the corner. "What's your name?" "M-My name? It's M-Morning." Dandelionstar smiled. "That's a nice name, Morning. Say, have you heard if the clans?" Morning's ears perked. "Oh, yes! I-Is this a clan?" "Sure is!" Dandelionstar replied. "I'm Dandelionstar, welcome to ArcticClan! Would you like to join?" Morning nodded quite quickly. "Well, from now on, in this clan, you'll be known as Morningchill!" The leader announced proudly, lifting his head up high. "Now uh, stay in this hole right here, it's a bit if a work in progres, but it'll be a nice and cozy warrior's den, soon enough!" Dandelionstar said kindly, jumping down and walking towards a pretty big hole. Morningchill followed him and sat down in the den, his strange green eyes glistening. "Thank you, kind leader." He mewed thankfully.

Dandelionstar walked back out onto the territory, seeing a brown shape moving side-by-side next to a grey shape. Dandelionstar watched them for a few moments before jumping down from the ledge he sat on and walked towards the two, finding it hard to move through the thick snow. "I saw cats up there before, is that the, uh, clan you were talking about, Caramel?" Said the grey tabby cat. The brown cat nodded, she had beautiful lavender-coloured eyes, Dandelionstar had never seen anything like it. "Of c-" The cat looks shocked, seeming to finally notice him. "You blend in very well with the snow." The lavender-eyed she-cat commented. "Say, do you happen to be Dandelionstar? Word travels fast around places without a lot of cat- never mind, just answer the question." "Well uh, yes, I do happen to be Dandelionstar." The grey cat smiled. "Great! I'm Sleet and this is Caramel! Can we join your clan?" Dandelionstar paused, his whiskers twitching as a soft breeze coated them in a light dusting of snow. ".. Sure, I guess. It's a huge work in progress, though, so dont expect much from our camp." "No worries." Sleet mewed happily.

They all reached the cave and Dabdelionstar, once again, jumped onto the stalagmite. "Morningchill? Come on over!" The white furred leader yowled out. The still-shivering hairless cat trotted out. "Yes..?" "Meet Slate and Caramel, they're joining the clan!" "Hello uh, Morningchill!" Purred Caramel. Sleet dipped his head quietly, waiting for.. something. "May I have your attention please?" Dandelionstar meowed. "As Sleet and Caramel are joining the clan, they'll be given new names and.. roles. Sleet, you're up first." There was a few short seconds of silence before Sleet stepped up proudly. "Your new name will be Ghostfall, welcome to ArcticClan, you'll be a warrior." Dandelionstar announced. Caramel shuffled her paws, mumbling the name, clearly think of something. "Caramel? You're up." Her gaze snapped back up at Dandelionstar. "Oh, sorry." "Your new name will be Lavendereyes. Welcome to ArcticClan! You will be my deputy." Ghostfall cheered from the background but Lavendereyes clearly had something she wanted to say. "You alright, Lavendereyes?" Dandelionstar asked, a little worriedly. "I think we should add in nicknames to these naming rules." She spoke after a long pause. "Go on..." Dandelionstar insisted curiously. "Well, I like these names but could we have a more casual name? Like a normal kittypet name that we call our friends?" "Well..." This request would take awhile to think about. "For now I'll say yes. You'd like to be called Caramel, correct?" "Yes please." Lavendereyes sounded happy. Ghostfall suddenly perked up. "Oh, can I be called Sleet most the time, then?" "I guess." Dandelionstar responded. "Make yourselves comfortable, Morningchill will show you two the den you'll both sleep in.

It was late, cool night air brushes past Dandelionstar's fur as he stood, watching the territory. A strong scent of leaves hit his nose and he looked around cautiously. "Is this ArcticClan?" Spoke a young voice. Dandelionstar took a moment to find her, landing his gaze on a small cat with wide blue eyes. "Yes." He glanced at the bundle of herbs in her mouth and he knew why she was here. "Welcome. What's your name?" Her eyes sparkled in the soft moonlight. "A ghost said you'll name me." "Oh. Well, are you okay with the name Frostgaze?" "That's a nice name." She murmured. "Do you want a nickname too?" "Hm? Oh uh, what about Snowflake for my nickname?" Dandelionstar nodded. "Come on, I'll show you your den." Snowflake followed Dandelionstar inside, he showed her a den with little dips in the walls for herbs. "This is perfect, thank you." The young she-cat nodded and began sorting the herbs.

Predators: Wolves (pack), Moose, Wolf (solitary) Arctic fox, Wolverines (sometimes, but they're rare and don't go after a whole group of cats), Owls, Skuas (adults)

Common pelt colours, fur lengths, etc.: White, light grey, sometimes tan and light brown pelts. Normally tabbies and spotted tabbies, if not solid. Heterochromia is not uncommon, common eye colours are light brown, blue and green. Long furs and short furs with feathery tails are common in this clan, too.

If you see extra names in brackets next to a cat's normal name, that's just their nickname! Not all cats will have them, but if they do have them, that's how they'll be addressed within the clan.

Only cats who have NOT been found on patrol will be on the 'this moon's actions' list.

Boulderstripe paced back and forth inside of the main cave, continuously glancing at a tunnel anxiously. Sparrowkit sat near him, the kits eyes following her father. “Why do you keep pacing?” She finally asks, causing him to pause and turn to her “it’s just something cats do when they're nervous, sweetie” he answers, seeming to just confuse her more.

“But why be nervous?” Sparrowkit frowns “moms strong and healthy, and giving birth at the right time. Besides, Eelstar and Cherryberry are with her to help.” Boulderstripe sighs and nods “I know that, but that won’t stop me from being worried about something still going wrong”

Sparrowkit pauses to think about that for a moment, but before she can ask anymore questions Stormstrike pokes his head into the cave “She’s fine!” He calls out, walking closer to the two. “Congratulations Boulderstripe, you have two healthy little boys!” He says, smiling as Boulderstripes face lights up “can we go see them?” Stormstrike nods yes and the two immediately take off down the tunnel.

Eelstar stops them outside of the cave “congratulations, I’m assuming Stormstrike told you everything?” He then nods as Boulderstripe replies with a ‘yes’ “Whiskersnows a bit tired but she’s asked for the both of you, said she had a name idea.” Eelstar walks past them, allowing the two to enter the cave.

Whiskersnow lifts her head slightly to smile at them, touching her nose to Boulderstripes as he moves forward to greet her, staring down at his two new sons in awe. “Come meet your brothers, sparrowkit” Whiskersnow smiles as the older kit walks forward. “They’re small” she says bluntly, causing her parents to let out a small laugh.

“I want to name them after the storm” Whiskersnow says “the clan had been reborn, and they’ll be the first born into Cliffclan. I was thinking Hurricanekit for him.” She says, gently nudging the white kit. “But I’m not sure about his brother”

“I like Hurricanekit, but I’m not sure about another name.” Boulderstripe looks over at Sparrowkit “what do you think your brothers name should be?”

Sparrowkit looks down at the tabby kit, thinking. “What about Floodkit?” She suggests “since the caves flooded, and we’re still cleaning.” She shrugs, glancing at her parents.

“I like it” Whiskersnow purrs “Hurricanekit and Floodkit.” She says fondly, setting down her head and closing her eyes, falling asleep surrounded by her family who all cuddle around her and the new kits, taking a big nap as a family.

“Hurry up Amberstone, there’s a lot to see!!” Cherryberry calls out, excited to show the newest member of the clan around. Amberstone follows along behind her, looking nervously around “what if we run into something dangerous..?” She asks “I don’t know how to fight.”

Cherryberry pads back over to her, placing her tail tip on her shoulder comfortingly. “Don’t worry, nothing bad will happen, I promise!” She reassured the other “and if something does happen then I’ll take care of it! I’m very brave, you know!” Cherryberry puffs out her chest, smiling at the grey furred cat.

A small smile appears on Amberstones face as she nods “I’m sure you are,” she says, looking a bit more relaxed. Everything had been so terrible since the storm had taken away her housefolk, but things had been starting to look up since she had met the strange group of cats that had taken her in. She just hoped that nothing bad would happen to anyone in her new clan. She shakes her head slightly, clearing away her thoughts as she quickens her pace to catch back up with Cherryberry, this time making sure not to fall behind as they made their way around the border.

Somewhere deep in the humid, congested rainforest is a group of cats living out their worst nightmare day in and day out. Struggling to survive in the harsh environment - surrounded by creatures that want nothing more then to devour them. Their home has become an ancient, abandoned temple littered with splashes of verdigris; an aqua blue. The temple is covered in depictions of a great cat - panthers. The giant black cats are in every hall way, every small room, and even the walls of the outer temple. The panther has become a being of high regard, some fear them while others admire them. To see a panther in the flesh is one of two things; a blessing meant to promise great victory in the near future, or a curse meant to promise death soon. The witness of the panther isn't always the one to receive the blessing or curse, the ragtag group of cats simply realize that the fate is for someone and they try their hardest to figure out who as a group.

While panthers are highly regarded and viewed as higher beings the cats are neighbors with a pesky group. Pesky being the understatement of the century. A tribe of howler monkeys live across the river running in front of the temple, making getting in and out of the cat's own home quite a tricky feat. No one is particularly sure why the monkeys have become so aggressive toward the cats but they've been known to steal cats out on patrol alone and attack groups of three or four, leaving them with heavy injuries.

The cats believe in Starclan, however, it isn't called such as the thick canopy of trees above blocks their view of the nighttime sky. In their world Starclan is called The Panther's Hunting Grounds. All cats go to the hunting grounds to hunt among panthers, unless they've committed unforgivable crimes against the clan, in which case the panther's of the hunting grounds are believed to put souls to an end. In order to commune with the ancients in the Hunting Grounds, leaders of the Verdigris Temple must climb a tree next to the temple, into a hollow near the topmost branches. Spending the night in the hollow is dangerous and seen as one of the bravest things a clan cat can do - if the Hunting Grounds believes a cat unfit the howler monkeys dispose of the leader in their sleep and they're never seen again.

Most of the cat's within Verdigris Temple are short-haired, however, they accept any and all into their clan. All the ranks are the same as a normal tribe aside from the suffix of leaders. Where most clans have -star, these cats have -panther.

➣ "Rosepaw, I'm so sorry,"

Rushstream's words felt like background noise. She could barely hear the warrior speak. A cold wave of despair and hopelessness washed over Rosepaw. She felt as if her brain was melting. Every bone in her body began to feel heavy, and her stomach tied itself into a knot.

"Rosepaw?"

The molly didn't even register who was speaking to her. Her vision grew blurry and she felt her throat close up. First, her sister died. Then a moon later, her mother died. Rosepaw could barely squeeze out any breaths as she stood in the middle of camp. Her clanmates watched her, a look of grief in everyone's eyes.

"Do you want to go lay down?"

Rosepaw didn't even register the voice speaking to her. Everything was falling down around her. Her ears were ringing, and she felt an overwhelming numbness. Without a word, she raced out of camp. Cloudpaw lurched forward to follow her, but Horizonstar stepped forward and shook her head.

"Goosecall, Cypresstail, and Snowfinch, go after her," Horizonstar ordered.

The three cats nodded and headed out of camp. Silently, the rest of the clan went back to what they were doing. But there was a heavy cloud of sadness hanging over the whole camp.
