"Oh...I guess I can tell you if you promise not to laugh." Thorngaze sighed and shifted her hurt leg. "I had a good life in Cloudclan. I was a warrior, I was liked. But...I fell in love with this cat, Her name was Willowsplash. She was in love with another cat. So I asked her to be my mate. That was the most stupid thing I've ever done in my life. She chose the other cat over me. For a while, I thought about leaving, becoming a rogue or a loner, but I decided to stay. Then the cat Willowsplash loved died. Just before she died, She asked me to take care of Willowsplash for her. I...I thought I was doing what was best for Willowsplash, but I just made everything worse. That's why I left. Because I had so much stress on me, wanting to be her mate, but knowing that she was never going to love me." Thorngaze looked down at her paws and took a shaky breath. "I left to get away from it all."

"Wha-" Owlkit yawned. "Why are you guys awake so early?" He blinked his eyes sleeply.

"We usually don't have too much drama, so maybe we could start our own clan. Maybe I could be, Olliestar!" he said gleefully, not fully understanding the clan's ways.

He purred to see his family so happy. "StarClan is trying to make me a leader," he told Owlkit. He figured the entire process could be explained to him when he was older. He looked at Rowanscar. "I feel more confident that I can protect us already," he said.

She turned to little Owlkit and smiled warmly, "You'll never guess what happened, son. Your father has 3 lives now!" She nuzzled him with loads of love. "Can you believe it? Maybe Forest Runners can be a realit-" She turned back to her mate and realized she forgot to tell him the dream she had that night.

He perked his ears. "Forest Runners? What's that, darling?" His tone was curious and playful.

She looked at him and then pulled her ears back and averted his gaze submissively, "I... I just had a dream last night..." She stopped deciding whether she should continue or not.

His eyes lit up. "Do tell," he said, grabbing Owlkit by the scruff. In a casual move, he flipped the kit so that he landed on Burningleaf's shoulders.

"Well... it wasn't a dream from starclan... I saw Wolfstar talking about one colony of cats called Forest Runners." She looked him sheepishly in the eyes. "It was us."

"Forest Runners," he murmured. "I love it! That's the perfect name for us." He licked Rowanscar on the cheek. "Do you think that we can get more cats to join us? Maybe those we already know. Thorngaze? Silentpaw? Littlepaw? Frozenleaf?" He listed off names that came to mind.
