chestnutbelly is a soft and happy warrior. he's always wanted kits, and he loves apprentices and other young cats, constantly encouraging the youth of emberclan to be the best cats they can be, despite being a relatively young warrior himself. he patiently awaits to be assigned a mate and is determined to love and care for them, whoever they are. chestnutbelly is certainly not a thin cat- he has a big appetite and is a bit overweight, but the way that his long stomach fur brushes against the ground only adds to his friendly and innocent demeanor.

in her youth, plumpetal was a sweet, gentle cat. anyone in the clan could have told of her kindness, and she rarely had enemies. she was lucky and was assigned mates to a cat she loved, pigeontail, and they were happy together for a long time. they had a son in chestnutbelly but shortly after his birth, pigeontail caught a disease and died from it. plumpetal became bitter and grew to resent her son, who looked almost identical to his late father. chestnutbelly is a kind and understanding cat, however, and knows his mother doesn't really hate him, but only the reminder of her lost mate. he still takes care of her in the elders den and loves her very dearly. and though she seldom talks to him, plumpetal loves her son as well.

Maybe she has somewhat passed that but they are potentially friends? They are similar in a few different ways

@echoflame; Do you think Mudnose and Blossomstorm could possibly have an interesting friendship? maybe where he tries to get her to relax and try to get her to enjoy herself and she's always tense and high alert. he'd be the caring friend she needs to help calm her down and force her to relax and not work herself so hard, he could be one of the few that see the soft side of her once he makes her essentially "take a break"

applenose is a passionate and independent free spirit whose main philosophy is to simply enjoy life moment by moment rather than worrying about the future or reflecting too deeply on what's come and gone. she is, for the most part, personable and genial toward others, ever always a social butterfly, and revels in being the center of attention. naturally adventurous, she is always intrigued by and/or willing to try new things and often remains undaunted in the face of change - something not everyone can claim - but as the age-old adage goes, curiosity killed the cat, and she has occasionally gotten herself in a few troublesome situations as a result of her inquisitive personality... nothing she hasn't gotten out of before with her charm, though! needless to say, she is very much driven by her heart rather than her head and this emotional temperament often causes her to rush into things without thinking. despite her affable nature, she is also opinionated, audacious, and impetuous, and she is generally blunt about her feelings. this can cause her to get into silly arguments, of which she will stubbornly never admit when she is in the wrong if she can help it. as a restless extrovert, she loves talking with others and hates staying still for too long. honestly, she is a bit of a chatterbox — if any cat is willing to bend an ear, she'd happily gab off to them and wile the hours away about clan gossip or recent happenings! furthermore, despite having been assigned a mate during her warrior ceremony, applenose remains coy, coquettish, and flirty with the other attached toms (and even some she-cats!). she has vowed to be loyal to her partner for the time being, knowing no other recourse, but she is admittedly fickle and her attention could certainly be swayed to another. although she lacks the quiet grace of some of her more elegant clanmates, she compensates for it with her confidence and zeal for life.
born into the clan, applekit's adolescence was fairly quotidian; nothing out of the ordinary occurred to her growing up. though her parents were certainly not the most romantic of assigned pairs, they got along well enough, which was all they could ever really ask for. after being named an apprentice, she caused a fair amount of trouble for her mentor with her natural curiosity and endless questions, and especially her interest in what extended beyond the confines of emberclan's borders. eventually, she passed her training assessments and was named a warrior, though she's still growing used to this whole having an assigned mate business. unlike some of other she-cats, she's not been particularly interested in starting a family and having kits just yet — in her opinion, why the rush into such a life-changing decision? for now, she's simply content to enjoy her time as a warrior, faithfully serving her clan!

In any case, I am open for any relationships for both my characters (assuming Applenose is also accepted) (:
Most of Wolfcall's family is dead for backstory purposes but I'm all for pre-existing friendships/rivalries/enemies and his assigned mate (of course). Depending on who his partner is, I imagine he'll start off loyal (thanks to his distaste for rulebreakers lol) but may deviate if he thinks they are simply too incompatible.
Likewise for Applenose, I don't mind her having any family members, friends/rivals/enemies, her assigned mate, and/or forbidden crushes, all that jazz haha.

Anyway - hopefully my second character is also okay! If all's good, I'll get up some posts tomorrow when I have free time but otherwise, anyone is free to tag either of my characters if you'd like. c:

@fortissimo how would you feel about applenose and smallfern being sisters? they're the same age and both multicoloured! they also have completely opposite personalities which i think would make for an adorable siblingship! smallfern worries about everything and applenose doesnt! and poor smallfern has no friends or family rip xD
also i think liontuft and wolfcall would make pretty good friends due to their mutual dislike of breaking the rules!

@stormy ahhhhh blossomstorm is such a cutie!<3 i think liontuft will probably hate her to start with, knowing that she's just sucking up to him to become deputy after him but that will start to change to respect when he realises the depth of her ambition and how her help within the clan is genuine and not just a façade! i don't want liontuft hating all your chars xD (cough blizzardpaw the rebellious minx)

@everyone will start working on my second post now, just waiting for replies from smokepaw and whitebelly but should be all good! i tried to include as many cats as i could in the patrols, will probably get liontuft to send out another hunting patrol too now there's more cats awake etc!
