People usually the 2:1 rule
1 09 rare = 2 10 rares, 1 10 rare = 2 11 rares, and so on

There is two types of calculations, this one(imo it adds up way too quickly/i don't like this):

2009 R = 2 '10 R = 4 '11 R = 8 '12 R = 16 '13 R = 32 '14 R = 64 '15 R = 128 '16 R = 256 '17 R = 512 '18 R
2010 R = 2 '11 R = 4 '12 R = 8 '13 R = 16 '14 R = 32 '15 R = 64 '16 R = 128 '17 R = 256 '18 R
2011 R = 2 '12 R = 4 '13 R = 8 '14 R = 16 '15 R = 32 '16 R = 64 '17 R = 128 '18 R
2012 R = 2 '13 R = 4 '14 R = 8 '15 R = 16 '16 R = 32 '17 R = 64 '18 R
2013 R = 2 '14 R = 4 '15 R = 8 '16 R = 16 '17 R = 32 '18 R
2014 R = 2 '15 R = 4 '16 R = 8 '17 R = 16 '18 R
2015 R = 2 '16 R = 4 '17 R = 8 '18 R
2016 R = 2 '17 R = 4 '18 R
2017 R = 2 '18 R

And this one:
Just add 2 rares from the younger year and keep adding two, example:

2015 Rare = 2 2014 rares = 4 2015 rares = 6 2016 rares = 8 2017 rares, etc!

I personally prefer this more even if you switch the value from 2 to 4 !
