The red mare with the blaze and socks said “It’ll be fine. You’ll have to stay off it a couple days though...so it can heal,” she said. She then looked to the body of her son. She, as the medicine mare, was the one who had to prepare the body for burial...

The black mare with the blaze moved her dark gray wings. She nodded to her mate, and sighed a bit as she said “Rest.”

The brown stallion moved black wings a bit, then he shook his head. “I...don’t know. Is there a way to trick the tree?”

Riversong:

"I asked that, I'm not sure if there's any way to trick it." I tried to brighten the mood and laughed "It seems like it would be easy to trick, it is just a tree" I saw the unamused look on my mate's face "yeah, okay. Not the time" I looked back at the tree. How would we beat it?


Cloudracer:

I knew that Danika and Daybreak wanted me to rest, but I wanted to help. I felt guilty for Dai's death. If I hadn't been with Dankia, then Danika would have been with Dai and kept him from going in the forest and nothing would have happened. So, when neither of the pegasi were looking, I walked away on my three good legs as fast as I could. I wanted to find lavender to block the scent of death at the burial. I tried to flap my wings so that I wouldn't be on the ground where I could trip and hurt my leg more. But, when I tried, my left wing wouldn't move. I tried again and still got the same results, my left wing stayed drooping at my side. I looked closer and saw a giant wound beneath the feathers. It had been hidden by my feathers and it had been laying on top of my wounded leg, so the blood that had been coming from it must have appeared to be coming from my leg. I felt light-headed every time I tried to move my left wing. I gave up and kept searching for lavender. I would tell Daybreak when I got back, I would be fine. I found a giant patch of lavender, pulled it up by the roots, and carefully carried it back home in my jaws; trying not to destroy the plant. I limped back in the direction I had come from, towards home

The red mare with the blaze and socks shook her head a couple times. She was distracted by the sight of the body lying there. Therefore, she didn’t notice when Cloudracer got away. She began to cry quietly, and shook a bit.

The black mare with the blaze moved her dark gray wings. She sighed as she looked away from her mate, to her pretty mom. She saw her start to cry, and became more distracted. She nuzzled up against her, trying to make her stop crying.

The brown stallion moved black wings a bit, then he shook his head. “Kicking it before when it got us with it’s vines didn’t do anything either...”

Cloudracer:

I stumbled once or twice on the way back but eventually made it back to the herd with the lavender I had collected "Danika! I brought some lavender for the burial." I dropped the lavender in front of her and walked away; not giving her time to scold me for leaving. I walked over to Daybreak and showed her my torn wing.


Riversong:

"I'm not sure how to help. I will not leave until I help him." and I meant it

[i have a suggestion for if people kill off their characters: maybe use the strike this (Quote this post and you’ll see what I mean) on their name? So they can still be part of the info section, but people will know they’re dead. Although, you do have that little section that also tells people]

The red mare with the blaze and socks shook her head a couple times. She sighed as she cleaned and dressed the injured wing. “You really need to be careful the next couple days...So you can get strong again and I can have some grand-foals.” She seemed to know they were mates and be teasing them. Actually, she was thinking of how more foals would maybe make her happy.

Cloudracer:

I flinched as Daybreak dressed the wound on my wing. It burned and was bleeding rapidly. I wanted to helpful, I hated feeling useless. I layed down on top of my good wing and decided to actually rest.



Riversong:

"Please don't leave, I need your help. We can't just leave this stallion here to grieve"
