@Carmilla have you read into the plot a bit? basically, the leader falls for the medicine cat while committed to a warrior, and when she finds out that they're having an affair, they have the opportunity to change the clan code and leave behind their old ways of assigned partnerships to let everyone be with who they really want to be with, not just who someone else assigns them to be with.

Yeah I’m totally down for that actually. I could see development happening between Shivermist and Riverclaw throughout the roleplay. So he will most definitely develope a crush on her .

merlotvine is a tall and long dull cream colored she-cat with green eyes. she has
long fur and blueish-grey splotches over her body and splitting her face.

despite being in her elder years, merlotvine is just as energetic as she was as a young warrior.
she loves to involve herself in the camp and can be quite nosy, oftentimes butting in where it
isn't needed or wanted. she thrives off of gossip and will do almost anything to get a good piece
of information. she's very supportive and understanding to both her peers and the 'younger crowd'
despite her straight-forward and blunt outlook.

merlotvine was born to an assigned pair who were deeply in love. her and her sister always had
a positive look on assigned mates, it was easier and solved many issues that some cats may deal
with. despite being told she shouldn't settle her eyes on anyone, she developed a crush on a
fellow apprentice, though a bit older than she. she fell in love with him, and desperately hoped
that they'd be assigned together only for her heart to break when instead he was paired with her
sister. it caused a deeply set hatred for her sister and thus the rest of her family. she got matched
with (name) and eventually became happier.

hornetsting is a pale cream tabby maine coon with amber eyes.
he's shorter than average, but makes up for it with slight bulk
and his long fur.


hornetsting is arrogant and harsh. despite his stature, he has more than enough
ego to make up for it. however he's not exactly a show-off but instead comes
off as cold and a bully to most. he's stand-offish, only talking to make snide or
rude remarks. despite his cold and rough exterior, he has a slightly good intent
overall and is very loyal to his clan despite what he says. he tends to be very
awkward when not being cold and can be very clingy.


hornetsting's parents were fairly happy until he was born. his mother honeycloud
was joyous to have even a single kit while his father sandsting resented him. for
what reason he wasn't sure, but it caused an unhealthy habit of seeking out his
attention, wether it was good or bad. eventually it got to the point where his
father would refuse to even speak to him or honeycloud, which caused the want
for his attention to grow into deep resentment. his apprentice moons were
spent causing trouble and slacking until he finally managed to earn his warrior
name.

@dainsleif could fawnleap and hornetsting possibly be paired together? they're practically polar opposites but i think it could be a cute plot point for them to warm up to each other as things progress.

I can see them helping each other out tremendously after their heartbreaks and being there for each other when things get rough
