this deputy is a die hard follower of the clan's code and an extremely
proud cat; watching his mother get banished from camp when he was
barely a warrior hardened him to the importance of following the rules
and led him to despise anyone who breaks them. he knew he would've
had to work extra hard to prove his loyalty and did so by working hard
enough to be appointed deputy when the last leader died. watching his
father stay so devoted to someone who was actively breaking the code
turned him into a very ill-tempered tom, often snapping at cats when
they make genuine mistakes; he feels bad after snapping and calms down
enough to apologise. he is not a nasty cat, just frustrated and is const-
antly trying to prove himself in the eyes of the clan due to his mother's
wrongdoings. deep down he is very kind and caring, with a particularly
gentle demeanour for his sister, lilyleaf. he will often try to smooth out
any grievances with his mate right away as he knows they're together
forever so they may as well make it work. seeing his father devote him
self to his mother taught him the importance of love in a relationship.

Personality: Northwind is a strong independent tom with a taste for justice and doing what's right for the cats and Clan he loves. He can come off as sassy sometimes, and has a playful side to him. His fun attitude does come hand-in-hand with a much more serious, focused, and intimidating part of his personality, and once he has his mind set on something there is practically no stopping him from doing what he's set out to do. Behind all of his layers of personality, Northwind is truly just another tom with a huge heart. He almost feels too much emotion for everything in every situation, although he's good at hiding it through jokes or cold looks. If one were to know him well enough, it's very easy to read his true emotions and know how he's feeling through little signs he gives off. Although many think his heart gets in the way of his decisions, he will never hesitate to make the right choice about something - even if his emotions tell him otherwise.

appearance|smokepaw is a rather skinny tom, but his semi-long hair hides his fragile build. his
limbs are long and his face broad, of course because of the tufts along his cheek bones. this
apprentice's pelt is silky and thin. he has white paws, the fur above them flaring out a tad
more than the rest of his pelt. mostly with a black pelt, white and brown mottle to create a
handsome coat that blends in well at times. with long whiskers and tufts of fur alongside his
head, it appears larger than its true size. pale green eyes rest in the middle of his face, more
round than narrow.

personality| smokepaw is a very friendly cat and tries to pick conversation with any animal that
appears near him. often disturbed by silence and his own thoughts, this young tom prefers to keep
the atmosphere light with cheery conversations. quite a chatter box, smokepaw always feels the
need to add his opinion to discussion. he is not an articulate one since he finds several words to
just describe a single thought he had. although he jumbles his ideas up a lot and speaks almost like
a kitten, he's a good listener. amazed at the ideas and strengths of others, smokepaw finds it easy
to confide in others and has no secrets. although he is usually in an energetic mood he takes others
opinions of himself way too hard to heart. - he's a huge crybaby. with a sensitive ego and strong
emotions, he truly does have the best of highs and lowest of lows. smokepaw will not hold a grudge
but also will not hide his pain to others- which is usually too often. since he is easily overstimulated,
smokepaw does not handle pressure well at all. he lacks patience and always tries to fix his mistakes
too soon or with the disregard to other issues. smokepaw has a lot of work to do as a clancat and
with not allowing his emotions to take control of his behavior.
