each day. As the temperatures begin to grow colder prey has started to become more scarce, new
dogs are less likely to be found, less herbs, chance of sickness, difficult births, and much more.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝

• With Winter right around the corner, temperatures begin to drop and light snow flurries rain down about the land. Prey begins to become harder to find and yet the dogs of The Scarred go to bed each night happy and full. Who knows how the next few moons will go though.

↳ The kennel does not starve this moon• Skarr made his way to a quiet place, hoping to request a new member for his every growing kennel. With the kennel still fairly small, he knew he needed all the help he could get. After all how was he suppose to protect what was his if he did not have the numbers. Upon finding a peaceful place the Alpha bowed his head and closed his eyes. "If you listening... which I know you are... Please. I ask you to send me a strong and healthy Malamute. May he or she be a great addition The Scarred... I thank thee for watching over my pack and I." Skarr murmured.

Malamute

• Upon setting up hunting parties and patrols earlier in the day Skarr snagged Slaigh and Saga for a small patrol. The off white Kangal male figured they would take a stroll around the borders, strength any weak scent markers before calling it a day. After all with Winter so close he knew it would be harder to get out when the weather decided to take a turn for the worse. "Make sure we mark those borders while where out. Don't need no rouge or predator thinking they can claim our land during the winter" He informed his small group. Slaigh and Saga gave their Alpha a firm nod before falling the male out of camp. The trio made their way along the kennel's borders making sure to mark as they went to enforce the markers. With nothing else peaking their interest and a light flurry beginning to fall, Skarr decides to head back to camp.

↳ Slaigh unforntantly falls ill with a fever and will require x1 moon of rest and x1 feverfew• By the time Dark Flite's hunting party left Skarr's patrol had returned and alight flurry had begun. With little hope in having a successful hunt, the black Boerboel lead his patrol. As the small group made their way out they decided to hunt closer to the South border. Upon reaching their destination the group split up, promising to return back to the meeting spot in a little while. As time passed one by one each dog returned with something besides Tinted who came up empty pawed. Surprised by their catch Dark Flite smiled a bit. "Good job everyone... Lets head back to camp." he instructed, leading the way back.

↳ Dark Flite's hunting party is successful, x2 scavenged remains and x1 squirrel are added to the prey pile• The gray and white Cane Corso male shuffled about his den, taking inventory of all the herbs he had on paw. He knew he had to get out and collect as much herbs as he could before it was too late. After all Winter was the time for green-cough and without the supplies the kennel would surely fall. He huffed a bit to himself before quickly leaving his den in hopes to find herbs needed to fight colds. Judas started in his usual spots in hopes to find few remaining herbs that could still be useable. With no luck the gray male ventured father out into the kennel's territory towards his left visited areas.

↳ Judas collects x2 feverfew• The young pup pranced in place as he awaited for his mentor Skarr to take him out for training. He was eager to learn and prove to his Alpha that he had what it took. Shortly after getting patrols sent out Skarr then joined young Soul at the camp entrance. "Alright. Let's head out to the training area." the Kangal said, passing the young pup to take the lead. The black and white Malamute let out a small happy yip as he darted off after his mentor. Skarr shook his head slightly, a faint smile on the Alpha's face. The pup had spunk and Skarr knew he could put that to good use. He had hopes for young Soul.

↳ Soul's efforts pay off and he successfully learns a new skill!• Flamingo felt the pains of labor as she knew it was time for her pups to come into the world. No soul knew who the father was, many assuming the young female either didn't want to tell or did not know what happened to him. However all Flamingo cared about was her pups being born healthy and strong, knowing they would be safe here in The Scarred Kennel. In the safety of the nursery young Flamingo endured the pain and let out a sigh of relief upon seeing her three beautiful pups before her. As she begun to lick each one her heart sank as she reached her third and final pup. They did not respond or make a noise when Flamingo licked them. Nudging the little pup a few times, Flamingo came to the sad realization that the little pup had not made it.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬

• With Winter coming and The Forest Banshees growing quickly finding food became one of the kennels top priorities. However Astra was able to rest easy knowing her kennel was doing just fine and wouldn't starve this moon.

↳ The kennel does not starve this moon• Without pups the kennel wouldn't survive long. Sure they could find dogs on patrol willing to join, but it wasn't always that easy. Knowing a Pup-Mother would be very valuable to her kennel, Astra prayed to the ancestors for them to send her a mother. A healthy young dog who would bring life to The Forest Banshees. A cold wind blew by Astra with a faint echo ringing in her ears. 'A mother has been sent...' a mysterious yet familiar voice said. Sure enough shortly after putting in her request an unfamiliar face appeared in the camp, pleading for shelter and safety for her and her unborn pups.

Borzoi

• Upon making sure the new mother was safely settled into the kennel's nursery Astra got patrols set up. With her trusted Beta leading the hunting party, Astra herself decided to lead the border patrol. With Winter coming the Golden Retriever female knew there was a chance of coming back empty pawed. The golden pelted female remained hopeful as she trotted along the kennel's borders with her group tagging behind her. Suddenly both Jupiter and Pluto called out for the patrol to halt. With patrol spaced out in a line it came as a surprise when both Jupiter and Pluto both had come across a young terrified dog.

• With the Alpha heading up the border patrol this time, Comet was put in charge of the hunting party. He had high hopes for his little group. After all anything they could catch would be very valuable in the coming Winter days. As the trio made their way through the territory a bush rustled near by before a spooked rabbit jumped out and began to dart off. Young Mercury let out a small bark, determined to catch the face running creature. With the help of Saturn the duo was able to catch the rabbit along with another one that had gotten trapped in some brambles. While coming up empty pawed, Comet did however catch the faint scent of an elk herd. Knowing an elk would last the kennel awhile, he had to report it back to Astra. "Leads head back. Astra needs to know about the elk herd and make her decision on what we will do next."

Don't forget to send your shaman out to collect herbs.
You will also want to put small birds and large birds as two different prey items. That way it is easier to give those out and easier to keep track of. =>

𝐈𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧

• With her kennel growing so quickly already, Kulikova was happy that they weren't going to bed hungry. Although she knew there would be difficult times ahead, she had high hopes that Ironrot Union would make it through anything thrown at them.

↳ The kennel does not starve and have 1 more fasting post left• With the arrival of young Rookie Galina, Kulikova decided to sign Orlova as the Gordon Setter's mentor. Galina was young, hopeful, and eager to learn. She dreamed to become a strong Operative like her mentor along with hoping to show the Overseer that she was worth taking in. Orlova chuckled a bit, amused by the spunk the young pup had. "With that energy I think it would be good for us to try out your combat skills and see how you do." the brindle male explained. Galina gave a small head nod, the fire of determination shinning brightly in her eyes as she listened to her mentor's instructions.

↳ Galina successfully learns the combat skill!• With prey getting ready for winter as well, the hunting party had to remain on extra high alert. After all it was going to be more difficult each moon to collect what the kennel would need for Winter. With faith in her party, Kulikova lead the group to one of the open fields. Here she knew they would be able to find something. It was here many animals game to graze on the grasses that grew here, often times proven to be a reliable source of food for the kennel.

↳ Kulikova's hunting party is successful, x2 mice and x1 hare are added to the prey pile• With his nose in the air, Korolev began sniffing, hoping to catch the scent of any helpful herbs his ears remaining perked as he listened for anything threatening. As the Belgian Malinois made his way through underbrush and thickets, being careful not to injure himself in the process. The Shaman smiled to himself as he come across a parsley plant in good health. Delictly picking the parsley, Korolev continued on with his search. To his surprise he stumbled into a pair of loners huddled together for warmth as they rested from their travels. Extending the offer to come back with him Korolev led the duo back, stopping once to snag a ragwort he saw out of the corner of his eye.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥

• Remaining strong, The Hounds of Hell happily go about another moon with full bellies. The strong and growing pack didn't dare let starvation even strike them down. With Jericho remaining strong and getting patrol out, the kennel manages to keep fighting to see another day.

↳ The Hounds of Hell do not starve, living to see another sunrise• With The Hounds of Hell growing even more, the large black male knew the kennel's Necromancer would need help. Knowing what rank he would need to request next, Jericho made his way out in hopes to come across a potential apprentice for Soheile. It wasn't until he came across a young English Setter muttering herb names and uses to themselves. Seeing potential in the young dog, Jericho quickly made sure to sway the young dog in joining his kennel as the Necromancer apprentice.

English Setter

• Freydoun and his party tracked down a small band of Bezoar goats, knowing the large creatures would satisfy the kennel greatly. They had to be careful and get one alone or they risked injuring themselves or possibly even death. Upon discussing the position each dog would hold, the hunting party lied and wait for the goats to spread out a bit. Once the goats had felt at ease and begun to graze, Freydoun signaled to one of the younger smaller males that grazed a bit father away from the older goats. Upon his signal the hunting party leapt into action.

↳ Freydoun's hunting party is successful, x1 jack rabbit and x1 bezoar goat are added to the prey pile• With such a large prey animal almost in their grasps, Jericho decided to send Jallal to head up the second party. With the rest of the party in tow, the hunting party silently made their way closer and closer to the mule deer herd. Jericho lied in wait his eyes scanning their heard until finally settling on an older mule deer that seemed to walk with a limp. "That one..." he breathed, knowing it would be the easiest one but would also have its own difficulties. Upon his signal the hunting party managed to separate the older deer from the rest of the herd. During the take down, older female Khallisto lets out a yelp upon being stricken in the front left leg by the mule deer's hood. Limping off to allow the rest of the party to finish it off, she awaited for them to take down before rejoining the group.

• With hunting parties sent out it was time for border patrols. Jericho did not feel like staying back in camp, as the large black male often enjoyed getting out. After all he knew his size and demeanor often scared away the weak. He had no room for weakness in his kennel, accepting only those who showed great potential. As he lead his group onward, Jericho came to a pause as he came face to face with a Belgian Malinois. With one look many dogs would be off, to afraid to face Jericho and yet this potential unit remained.

Belgian Malinois

• As the patrol trudged onward with no sign of anything out of the ordinary it came as a slight surprise when Ferox reported picking up the scent of a loner. Khan made sure to note it mentally, informing Ferox that upon arriving back to camp the two of them would report back to The Cerberus and wait to see what he had to say before going off on a wild good chase.

• With Khallisto coming back majorly injured, Soheile knew she would have to try and find the right herbs. As the Vizsla made her way out in search for the herbs, she let out a sigh of relief upon coming across the herbs she need, "Thank goodness..." She whispered, smiling to herself before harvesting the herbs she needed. As she made her way back to camp, Soheile was surprised upon being able to collect a ragwort as well. "Today is defiantly my lucky day." she hummed to herself.

↳ Soheile gathers x1 broom, x2 bindbweed, and x1 ragwort• Although colder weather made it difficult for many things, including training The Hounds of Hell where strong and determined dogs. With strict training and pushing dogs past their limits, all rookies where able to have a successful training session with their mentors. Bringing Asghar, Elahe, and Hasti a step closer to their final assessments.

↳ The Hounds of Hell's rookies all successfully pass their training session this moon!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦

• With another moon done and gone, The Empire of Storm remained strong. With prey still fairly easy to find Shred had no doubt that his kennel would survive winter. Although not letting his guard down, Shred knew they had to remain on top of hunting patrol if they where to continue on like they where.

↳ The Empire of Storm do not starve and survive to see the next moon• With his request available once again, Shred knew he needed to add to the ranks of the Samurai. Especially if he was going to need another potential mentor for future litters. Samurai where also important when it came to hunting and patrolling borders. With no particular breed in mind this time, Shred requested a Samurai from the ancestors.

Australian Kelpie

• The black and white male lead his party onward, the group coming to the edge of the island near the small bridge that lead to larger land. With Winter coming, the Emperor knew the water would eventually freeze over. They had to fish what they could before that happened. As the majority of his patrol sat by the waters edge to fish he saw Creek and Rose attempt to hunt around some shrubs, hoping to maybe catch a rabbit or two.

Corgi

• With the weather growing colder and colder, Meatball wasn't totally thrown off when her hunting party only managed to hunt down one measly little mouse. Although prey was prey, she did have her hopes a bit to high in finding more than that. "Hopefully the others had better luck than us." She explained, holding her ears flatly against her head in disappointment in not her group but herself.

↳ Meatball's hunting party manages to find something, bringing back x1 mouse• Bat lead a patrol around sun-high hoping waiting till later in the day wouldn't be so cold like it had been in the mornings. Sadly the male was wrong and his patrol made an effort to stay close together for heat as they made their way about. With nothing other than weakened markers, Bat made the chose to have his patrol head back early, knowing if they stayed out any longer they risked falling ill.

↳ Bat's patrol notices some of the border markings are beginning to fade• While out and about collecting herbs, Cloud was able to test Peanut's knowledge on the herbs. Making sure to take notes on the ones the young Doberman struggled with. Overall Cloud was pleased with how quickly the young pup was learning and even more pleased when the pair was able to successfully gather some herbs in the cold.

↳ Cloud and Peanut gather x1 elder leaves and x1 fennel• With their hopes of being parents crushed last moon, both Ariel and Mako where over joyed when their kennel's priestess Cloud happily informed the couple that they where with pups. Ariel cried happily, leaning heavily into her mate as she couldn't wait to meet their little ones' in person in the next few moons.

↳ Cloud is happy to announce that Ariel is due in 2 moons!• Dusk and Breeze exchanged looks, fires burning brightly in their eyes as today was their day. The day the two of them would take their final assessments and become their respected ranks. The duo didn't see each other again until after their assessments where their mentors proudly announced that both had successfully passed! The two let out happy yips and awaited their final ceremony.

↳ Both Dusk and Breeze have successfully passed their final assessments!• With a paw-full of new Squires, training sessions had began to become slightly chaotic. With the overly joyed young pups too excited to fully focus a few of the newer Squires could not sit still long enough to focus, thus resulting in a mixed result outcome for training that moon.

Sunlight filtered through the oak leaves, splashing the ground with sizeable patches of warmth. Under the shade of the trees the air was quite cold and as Brynja trotted along, she should see her breath rising like tiny clouds. She'd be at it for several hours now, trotting at a steady pace, telling every living thing around her that she had a purpose. It was burning in her chest, a tiny fire spreading warmth to her every muscle. This purpose she had was very important indeed.

"Yggdrasil's child must be close." the pyreneese whispered to herself.

A memory flooded the great white dog...

Huts were blazing and Brynja could feel their warmth from several horse lengths away. She squinted into the village, trying to see past the brilliant light of the flames licking at the buildings around her but couldn't see more then a few breathes in front of her. The air was thick as the smoke billowed off of every hut, every fence, every tree. Her lungs burned as she took off at a sprint, seeking shelter from the horrid smoke. A flame leapt across the buildings, blocking her path suddenly. She skidded to a halt, every sinew, muscle, and fiber in her body screaming for her to run. Brynja forced herself to leap through the fire and she could feel the vicious flames lick her haunches. She stumbled weakly to her paws before continuing her panicked run out of the village. After finally breaking through the smoke she found herself sprinting through the neighboring forest. A few quick seconds later and she saw none other than...

"Yggdrasil's child." Brynja said, confident, relieved, excited.

Somehow she knew that she was supposed to be here. Her dream was sent to her by Freyja, there was no other option. She'd had a dream of the village burning with her in it and this morning she had woken to her dream in reality. The village had began to burn and she felt what she had to do next in her heart. Now she was here. It was real. Freyja had sent her to this place. Brynja approached the massive tree that towered above any other she'd seen in the forest behind her. As she got closer she could a small tunnel that led under the roots. It was smaller then she'd have liked but she was sure it could be expanded on - her first task after she found a force and crowned herself Drottning.

The Pyreneese rounded the tree to see a large clearing with one trunk laid neatly out on it's edge - a place to gather her followers. A place to host Atok, a voice in the back of her mind whispered. She could see it in front of her now, large males fighting for the right to serve, the right to protect their Drottning. She would have a swarm of Kappi.. a swarm of the mightiest canines on this side of Jormungundr and his vast expanse of water. She’d conquer these lands and have more power then any of those foolish humans could ever wish.

Brynja, satisfied with her findings, lifted her muzzle into the nighttime sky and let her howl sing out. It rang across the small clearing, danced on the tree tops, and dashed away farther than Brynja could’ve ran. She wanted every living creature to know where she was, who she was. She ran this land now. Her muzzle lowered and she ran her tongue across her lips - a contender would come by eventually, she expected, and when they did… Brynja chuckled lightly.

The great white dog found a spot in to the roots of the mighty tree and settled down with a final glance at her kingdom. Silently, she prayed to Freyja before slipping into the dark of sleep.

It is currently fall. The air grows cooler, and there is a hauntingly familiar chill in the breeze. The trees are a
brilliant array of reds and oranges,a new layer of leaves coating with ground with each passing day. Birds are
migrating to warmer climates, and prey of all kinds are less frequent, growing scarce.
The kennels should expect less prey, higher chance fatalities, more chances of sickness, less dogs discovered
on patrols, less herbs, more difficult birthing, more stillborns, more predators, and more human encounters.
