It had been about a week since Eel, now named Eelstar, had returned home to find a young she-cat who introduced herself as Cherry who Boulderstripe had found at the border. Eelstar is quick to accept her into the clan, and had promised to give her her full name as soon as they were able to clear out the main cave, which brings us to the current day.

Cherry was bouncing up and down at the side of the now clear meeting cave, standing next to a large cat by the name of Storm who had been sent to the clan by Starclan as a result of Eelstars request. “Can you believe it, Storm? We’re finally getting warrior names!” Storm smiles at the younger cat, amused “It is a fun occasion, everyone does look happy” he says, looking out at the clan.

Eelstar sat on top of the ledge to call meetings, while Whiskersnow lay close enough to the pool for her tail to rest in the water. Boulderstripe sat next to her with their daughter struggling to sit still a couple mouse-lengths away, seeming just as excited as if the meeting were for her.

“I’m glad Eelstar decided to wait for us to finish cleaning this cave first” Cherry says “this is so much more special!” Storm nods in agreement, opening his mouth to reply before getting cut off by Eelstar officially calling the meeting.

“Let all cats old enough to swim gather below me to hear a clan meeting!” He calls out, everyone turning to look up at him “Storm, you have been sent by starclan themselves and chosen to lead beside me as my deputy. Do you accept this responsibility and agree to aid me in leading this clan to become the greatest that it can be?”

Storm nods his head, standing proudly below the leader “I do.”

“Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you the warrior name Stormstrike. Starclan honors your potential and leadership, and we welcome you as a full member of Cliffclan. Cherry, step forward” Stormstrike steps to the side to let Cherry move forward to take his place “Cherry, you came to us seeking a safe place, a place of friends and of family. Do you accept the duties of a warrior, to serve and protect this clan even if it costs you your life?”

With no hesitation Cherry nods her head “I do!”

“Then by the power of Starclan, I give you the warrior name Cherryberry. Starclan honors your dedication and eagerness and we welcome you as a full member of Cliffclan.” As his words come to a close, he and the rest of the clan call out the names of the two members in excitement, the clan celebrating the new beginning of the clan.

They stay awake for a long while, retreating to their dens well after dark. They had completely cleared out two of the caves, but currently were only using the larger of the two. The whole clan choosing to stay together for the time being.

In the morning, Stormstrike is the first to wake, stretching out his legs before waking Boulderstripe and Eelstar “I’m going to go with Eelstar for a patrol, I want you to take Cherryberry and go hunting later today, ok?” Boulderstripe nods “yeah, will do…” he says before nodding off again as the two toms turn and exit the cave.

During the attack, Featherstream got a couple of deep scars, and will need x1 horsetail. All of the others were lucky and got out of the battle with minor scrapes and bruises. ]

----The stress is getting to Graystone, who can barely find it in himself to be happy that his family found him. Instead, he feels horror that they are going to be dragged into this mess of a resistance Ratscratch and Twigstorm have planned.

story ;
❦ --
“May all cats who are old enough to hunt through the snow come forwards, for a clan meeting!” Briarstar called out, from a rock in the caves. Her voice echoed, moving through one tunnel to the next. It reached the warriors, and soon all were up. The nursery, where Snowballkit and Seakit left; even though they weren’t old enough to hunt, or become apprentices(which was their thought). The deputy came out, apparently he had left for early hunting along with the newbie, Flarespeck.
Soon, almost all cats were gathered beneath the rock.
“I address you today with concerns for the well being of the clan,” Briarstar paused, letting her words sink in. Murmurs and whispers went through the small crowd. Snowballkit and Seakit were there as well, and Briarstar had just spotted them. A stern look, with a hint of anger, was displayed on her face. She seemed to be losing patience. “Snowballkit!” She said with a demanding voice. The two kits in the crowd stepped back. “Seakit! You two are not old enough to become apprentices, nor is this meeting for the ears of kits!” Snowballkit looked down, her ears dropped. Seakit just sat and stared.
Briarstar looked to Pebblesong, and then mewed, “Pebblesong, could you please take Snowballkit and Seakit back to the nursery?” She sighed as Pebblesong nodded, “And make sure they stay there.”
Pebblesong and the kits left, and as Briartstar’s voice faded to them, it was loud and clear to the other cats in the meeting cave.
“There is also something else on our agenda today. The subject of Yin’s name.” Yin didn’t look fazed, the leader and him had talked about this before. “As Yin is currently the only member with a clan name, I feel it right to give him one. Yin, from now one you will be known as Yinheart. May the stars light you path here.” Yin, Yinheart, nodded in acceptance. He seemed to be more comfortable with Clan life now.
The other cats sat and waited for Briarstar to continue. “And now, to address the main reason why I called this meeting.” The leader got up, and started to pace. The cats below started to look worried. “I have received a vision. I cannot tell if it is from StarClan, or maybe even our ancestors in Limbo.” She then shuddered, “And hopefully..not from our ancestors in the Dark Forest.” Briarstar paused, glancing around the cave to see how her clan reacted to her words. “We deciphered it today, Glimpsebark and I. But I fear it may be too late.”
Mumbles roared through the small crowd of cats. What was too late? What was happening?!
“There is a traitor amongst us.”
And the crowd went silent.

After the meeting, Briarstar went to the nursery. She glanced at Snowballkit and Seakit, who looked up to her with a nervous and scared expression. Was she gonna punish them? “Look,” Briarstar sighed, “Snowballkit, Seakit. Please don’t go to a meeting when you aren’t called. They aren’t meant for kits.”
“A-are you mad?” Snowballkit asked, peeping from behind Seakit. Briarstar’s gaze softened.
“No, little one, no.”

- briarstar announces that she think someone has betrayed the clan.
- snowballkit and seakit have a long discussion with each other about what snowballkit’s mom could be hiding from them. they also talk about apprenticeship.
- jinglenose and scorchcry become mates, though they do not tell the clan.
- wavecall is unusually stressed. he seems to have seen a ghost.
- glimpsebark forces saplingtuft to move to the queen’s den.
- everyone is suspicious of everyone. briarstar made a bad move in telling the whole clan, but it is done.
